Vacation rentals in Saint Mark Parish

l visited Dominica for a short trip with family and couldnt have asked for a better place to stay on my vacation. Laurencia's place was ideal for my trip. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. The location was perfect for our stay. I will definitely be back again !

very spacious unit, fast wifi, hot shower ( I had my best shower in this house in my 2-week trip in Dominica haha), large kitchen with lots of amenities. Has all the essentials for cooking which we appreciate alot. Some other Airbnb doesn't provide anything to start with and it's often quite inconvenient to go out in this country with hilly and windy roads just for a bit salt and pepper. Host and co-host are quite communicative, great restaurant guide. Pleasant stay!

This is an amazing stay in a beautiful home tucked into the hillside of soufriere. The bed is big and comfortable. The AC gives a nice relief from the mid day heat. Plenty of space to organize your belongings and just the most spectacular view of Soufriere and the bay! You won’t want to miss a single sunset. Would 11/10 recommend!

Bevin is welcoming and kind. He helped me find taxis and helped me get up to his next airbnb. I seemed to have more questions than usual this time, so I'm glad he answered them. It was better to message before five pm to get answers that day. I was glad for the cross breeze in the house, the bug netting on the bed, and the outdoor sink and clothesline for washing my travel clothes. There was a nice neighbor, Boyce, in the place nextdoor.

Good place to stay in Soufriere. The house has everything you need. kitchen had all appliances, pots, pans, blender, etc. Comfortable couch, nice porch chairs, etc. wifi is good, A/C is good. It's great. Key things to know about Soufriere (as of fall 2023) Bus to Roseau is 4.5ec/person each way. To get back you go to the stop in Roseau, get in, and when the vans fill up it leaves. No real schedule but it works great. Short walk from the bus to restaurants and grocery stores. There is a bar directly across the street and they also sell a few dry goods and eggs. Owner is super nice. Power is not reliable the utility does not give accurate info. Locals all said it was very unusual and I believe that, but it is something you need to be aware of and plan accordingly. This may be resolved in the future but in aug-sep 2023, hours long blackouts occurred almost daily. Often taking down cell data too.

If you book a stay at JnoBaptiste’s, I recommend stopping at the grocery store in Roseau before checking-in. If you’re a morning coffee person, be certain to grab instant coffee for yourself because there isn’t a coffee maker in the property. While JnoBaptiste’s property is minimal in it’s amenities, you have the Caribbean Sea directly in front of you and many of the island’s unique destinations are within a reasonable drive (40-60 minutes) from the property. Staying in Scotts Head is a particularly attractive option if you’re hoping to see whales or you’re visiting to snorkel or dive. JnoBaptiste was super responsive and quick to make recommendations or answer questions. He connected us with his nephew, Keds, who offers boat charters through Dominica Water Tours. It was very helpful to follow JnoBaptiste’s recommendations. In general, it’s a no frills rental property, but the beauty of Dominica is at your door step. Everyone in the village was very friendly and hospitable.

I really appreciated my stay here. It’s up a hill so you get a nice view and cooling wind at night. I thought it was very thoughtfully done, especially the washing machine - so great if you’re packing light. Compared to other places in Soufriere this was very quiet at night. I also felt very safe as a solo woman traveler. Would definitely stay again!

Cozy stay in soufriere!

We had such a wonderful stay! Lucilla, Euvilla and Bevin were fantastic hosts. We were just minutes away from town and the grounds were amazing! Surrounded by flowers and fruit trees, it was a very tranquil setting! We felt right at home and look forward to our next visit. It had all the amenities that we needed.
