Vacation rentals with a kayak in Rowan County

We have never stayed in a such a very well maintained and immaculately clean rental! Everything was as described and very well stocked with essential items. We were there over a rainy and cold weekend, so we didn't get to enjoy much of the outdoor activities around the lake. Guest are well advised to check lake levels especially during the dry seasons before booking. The lake was very low when we were there, not that it mattered in our case! I would highly recommend this rental to others, but please be aware this property is not suitable for physically handicapped. The two bedrooms are up a flight of stairs with one bathroom between them with a bath/shower combo. It is perfect for small families!

We had an amazing time at Austin’s house! We really needed to get away to relax and this home was perfect for that. The house is beautiful and cozy. Everything was clean and comfortable. My boys really enjoyed the arcade games and they both slept great in their beds. The rain shower in the master bath was a nice touch. The view from the sunroom and master bedroom is stunning. We made lots of use of the fire pit and dock for fishing. We had everything we needed to be comfortable and relaxed during our getaway. I would definitely recommend Austin’s home and we already talked about trying to get back there when it’s warmer so we can take full advantage of the lake.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tuck’d Away. Perfect stay for the family for a local wedding. Well equipped kitchen and boat house, and comfy accommodations made for a relaxing weekend!

I got married this weekend and Jenny’s place was the perfect place to be to wake up at, to get ready, and to relax. The place was clean, pristine, and so sweet. Thank you Jenny for an amazing weekend!

We stayed here for a little Valentine’s weekend getaway. It was perfect. We wanted to stay in so we planned to cook our own meals. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the grill was clean and ready to go. I loved all the little baskets of soft throws since it’s winter and I’m cold natured. The beds were very comfy and clean. Plenty of seating in all the areas. We sat in the hot tub with the fire pit going…perfect ambiance for a rainy, chilly yet romantic winter retreat. The lights were on and the heat bumped up for our later arrival. Can’t say enough good things, and can’t wait to go back in the summer to enjoy the outdoors and lake activities!

Stayed while taking the little guy to Polar Express. Had a great long weekend and was an easy 25 min to the train. Coldest night of the year and loved it. Would recommend arriving during the day but we managed at night. Looking forward to visiting again in warmer months.

We had a wonderful stay at Nicole and Kevin's place. The house is in such a great setting, there was plenty of room, and there were plenty of supplies for cooking. The hosts went above and beyond to help guests feel at home.

The lakefront cottage utilizes space well and is very clean and comfortable. The location on the lake is absolutely wonderful. Private area without a lot of traffic. We used the kayaks most of the days for fishing and exploring. Caught several bass and a 25lb catfish! The kitchen is well stocked! We cooked most meals at the house, utilizing the blackstone for breakfast. It was very comfortable and we enjoyed it immensely.

We came here to get to the polar express in Spencer and it was more than perfect stay for our family! Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen and cozy fireplace made it feel at home! The house matched the description and was sparkly clean. The view from the porch was the best! I wish we could come back in summer to enjoy the lake and the surrounding areas!

We traveled with our daughter & 4 of our nieces/nephews. They had a great time! Kayaks & life vests provided. Right on the water with a private dock, and we roasted smores at the campfire outback. The place was very clean. Though small, the space was maximized and it fit all 7 of us just fine- even seating at the kitchen table. The furniture/linens were quality and they had all the basics and then some in the kitchen- even spices & condiments. There is no dishwasher, but that was not a problem for us. Terry really included so many thoughtful touches. He communicated proactively and even checked on us when we arrived late on our check in date. He went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. Being it’s a small lake house, the bathrooms were tight, but had everything we needed. My husband said “that’s the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on.” We left a few small items and he even offered to mail them to us. Top notch! Would stay again! Highly recommend!!

Beth’s place was lovely and comfortable with lots of extras like games, charging wires and a welcome basket to help us begin our visit seamlessly. We stayed here with our dog and two teens. Everyone felt considered. Thank you!

Loved staying here…again!!

Beautiful home and equally beautiful hosts! Jen was so thoughtful and each detail of the just points to that! She provided an easy to use guide which had suggestions of the best places to visit in town. There was even coffee from a local business in town that we could brew while we enjoyed our vacation. Nothing beats a warm beverage over looking that pristine water. The space easily accommodated our family of four. We came together and also had ample space to spread out and get some alone time in. My entire family looks forward to our next trip to the area. We know we truly found a gem with this one!
