Cottage vacation rentals in Rock River Township

It was a beautiful place to stay we were able to go ice fishing right on the lake there, and the hot tub was in a beautiful spot!! Very nice and easy going people will be back in the summer!!!

Super beautiful spot right on the lake. the stars looked so great at night. The beds were comfortable. I needed help getting the heat on and someone came to help right away. The shared hot tub was always available when we wanted to use it. Overall great experience here.

Although our stay at the cabin was a little cramped for 6 adults, it was perfect for what we needed. There is a grocery store nearby for all food needs, and bigger cities like Marquette are only an hour away. There are many waterfalls within 30 minutes that are easy access. Most amenities are provided (pots, pans, dishes) and there are some boats for the lake for the cabins. The cabin did have towels for showering, but I would bring your own for the lake and hot tub. One thing to note is the GPS does not take you to the right location, rather it takes you to a personal property down the road. Be cautious of the street addresses. There is also a non-grounded electrical cord in the coffee bar drawer for all grounded cords.

This was our second visit to the property, our first time in cabin 5. We celebrated a birthday and used the hot tub all weekend. Everyone in our party had a relaxing weekend & would love to visit again sometime

The place was great. We came for the purpose of snowmobiling. We were able to drive the sled right onto the lake from the property and take to the trails right off the lake. It was a very peaceful and beautiful spot, being right on the lake. It was very private and quiet. Only draw back we felt was that the cookware and silverware could have been better, but that would be the only thing I would have changed. Would definitely come back and would recommend the place to anyone.

My wife and I enjoyed the cabin with our dogs. The river was nice and made for a peaceful setting as well as the dogs loved playing in the river. Everything was clean when we showed up and James was very responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely be booking the cabin again.

This little cabin was great for a quick getaway. Nice and peaceful, beautiful overlook onto Lake Michigan. The cabin was cozy and neat. The elevated kitchen and bathroom weren’t expected but a nice little touch. The driveway was plowed when we arrived, however it continued to snow and as normal the driveway became filled with snow again so I did have to shovel by the front door a couple of times to prevent dragging in snow. Such a cute quiet little area. Would love to stay again.

What a fantastic weekend! Brett was a great communicator and check in was a breeze! The cabin was so cozy! Super clean, comfortable and had everything we needed! We visited some area bar and grills, and spent a lot of time walking the property with our dogs. It was exactly the quiet weekend we were looking for! The view was fantastic and we can’t wait to come back and enjoy it in warmer weather!

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful log-style cabin on the edge of Lake Superior. The craftsmanship of the cabin is impressive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Each morning, We woke up to breathtaking views of the shimmering water, which was a truly magical way to start the day. The peacefulness of the lake and the surrounding nature made it the perfect place to unwind. We spent countless hours simply relaxing in the back room, soaking in the serene landscape. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone seeking a tranquil getaway surrounded by the beauty of Lake Superior. I can’t wait to come back!

It’s was a nice place and a great spot on the water. Being on a chain of lakes was fun because we could cruise around on our boat for a while and the fishing was good too. I would rent again.

My husband, kid, and dogs stayed here in February during the winter and fell in love! The house was super clean, Megan was super responsive, and the location could not have been better. Just 2 miles down the road from UP lodge with great food and 30 minutes from Marquette. Though I honestly enjoyed just being at the house and skiing on the dirt roads around it. Would absolutely stay here again.

I was looking for the place that would feel like home away from home where my entire family (fur babies included) and I could unwind, relax, and enjoy time together the weekend of my first marathon. This place was perfect. Kayaking was so much fun, the spacious kitchen made dinner times and breakfasts so special, and my doggo loooooved swimming, running around and going on walks. Even my cat felt right at home! It really felt like home. The amenities were also a great plus. It was my mom’s first time in an Airbnb, and she was so impressed with absolutely everything. Thank you Charlie and Shelly!! Everything was perfect. ☺️❤️

If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet retreat in a beautiful, natural setting, the Eh Frame is the spot for you! My family had a wonderful vacation in Big Bay. We were outside for most of it, but when rain kept us in we could snuggle in the cottage with a book or enjoy a movie or, simply, the stunning view of Lake Independence. The cottage has most creature comforts but note there is no laundry, so you’ll have to visit the laundromat which is a quick drive down the road, adjacent to the general store. Fresh produce and fish, meat, etc. at this store is limited, so it’s best to do most of your grocery shopping on your way in to Big Bay, in Marquette or Houghton, for example. Ryan is a very responsive and accommodating host. We loved our stay so much we’re thinking of a repeat next summer!

The “cost cottage” was a great place to stay during our trip to the UP. We used this as our “home away from home” as we took days trips all over the UP. Everything was in working order and good condition. Beautiful morning and evening settings along the river. The key lock pad was easy to get in the house and the garage door was easy access to load and unload our vehicle.

We went up for a long weekend get away. a reboot. and this cabin was perfect. set back and secluded at times it felt like we had the entire UP to ourselves. Kelsey was extremely honest and so helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone we know or love. Definitely a 5 star rental.

The place was lovely and cozy, just what we were hoping it would be for our girls weekend. The kitchen is very well stocked and the place is pretty much as described. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and we would definitely consider booking again.

My best friend and I have stayed at many Airbnb’s in the area, and we both agreed this was our favorite. The view from the deck is so gorgeous, and a great way to start your morning. The place was clean and stocked with anything we could have needed. All communication was very clear, and we felt prepared for our arrival and departure. We will definitely be back, and recommend it to anyone who needs to disconnect with a gorgeous view. Thank you!!

Enjoyed my stay.

This is a charming little cabin in the woods. Very clean comfy bed, great hot water and pressure in the shower and nicely appointed kitchen that had the basics. It has a very private feel, and we were able to cook some great food, walk to Schoolhouse Beach and the Art & Nature Center as well as enjoy some fabulous fires at the fire ring. My daughter and I were perfectly relaxed. Really appreciated the WiFi so we could watch a movie on our laptop . It was easy to follow Christine’s directions. She is a very responsive host. In a previous review the guests noted carpenter ants— there are traps everywhere which have done the trick. The only “wildlife” we saw were the many deer, birds, and squirrels (including an albino squirrel!) all of which were outdoors. This is a great place to stay if you want quiet and peace.
