Christel’s secluded cabin in the mountains, only a short drive from Oudtshoorn, is absolutely superb. It feels like you are the only people for miles around and it is perfectly positioned to take advantage of the breathtaking view and natural beauty of the area. Christel’s instructions on arrival were precise and easy to follow, the cabin is kitted out with all the items necessary for a comfortable and relaxing stay and there is not a soul around to disturb you. No electricity and no WiFi and limited signal make this the perfect getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The amenities cover everything and the added touches like a bottle of wine, a loaf of bread, eggs, bacon and milk in the fridge (and a small cooler box of ice!) made us feel very welcome indeed. The dirt road leading up to the cabin may require something bigger than a hatchback to get to. I highly recommend this place if you want to disconnect and recharge. Thank you Christel!

An amazing courage with amazing views! It was peaceful and quiet and just what we wanted to take a break from the busy city. We were close enough to the town to get anything we needed and far enough to enjoy the peace and surroundings.

Sharon's cottage was perfect for our family of 4. The cottage was cozy but super well designed and had everything we needed. The grounds were lovely, and we are so bummed we didn't get to use the beautiful pool because we didn't have time. However, our children enjoyed playing in the swings and running around the big yard. The location was peaceful and convenient to everything in Oudtshorn. Sharon was super friendly and easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend her place and would stay there again!

We booked a stay at Harriet’s place when we signed up for Meiringspoort half marathon. It was beautiful and felt like home away from home. Spacious and clean. Harriet and John were extremely welcoming. We loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

A Perfect Romantic Getaway in Oudtshoorn My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this charming little cottage in Oudtshoorn for three nights, and it was absolutely magical. The cottage is beautifully decorated, with every detail thoughtfully curated to create a cozy and romantic atmosphere. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view of the mountains, which provided a serene backdrop for our stay. The hot tub was an added luxury, perfect for relaxing under the stars after a day of exploring. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a secluded and romantic getaway, making it feel like a home away from home. Nathalie was incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Their warm hospitality made the experience even more special. We will definitely return to this hidden gem whenever we need to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Highly recommended!

This property exceeded all expectations, it’s stunning! Lovely quiet area, safe gated parking in particular is a bonus for travellers with hired cars. The property is much larger than the photos, cool and airy and beautifully furnished. Stunning bathroom with an amazing shower and lovely toiletries provided. The entire place is beyond spotlessly clean. The kitchen area has everything and more you need. If staying in cooler months the wood burning stove is a lovely touch. We were there in February and the A/C was welcomed. Hennie and Madeline are fantastic hosts, very friendly and helpful. They have a lovely gentle collie dog and some pet sheep which wander around the olive trees. The outside seating area is lovely and cool and the olive trees outside the property were lovely. The property is very handy for lovely restaurants and shops and lovely attractions. We wished we had stayed more than 2 nights. This property exceeds value for money. We will stay longer on our next trip.

Simon & Toby's place was lovely and cool despite the heat. The Aircon in the bedroom was a great plus. The cottage is in a lovely quiet area and is very private. We loved the outdoor shower! Co-host Lorna referred us to a sweet cottage in Die Hel (Gamkaskloof) which was worth the trip despite knowing that the road is quite rough - your vehicle needs high clearance!
