Earth house vacation rentals in Portugal

Sandra’s house was such a dream. I went with my friends for 5 days and we had such a good time we didn’t even leave the property the entire time. The pool and outdoor areas were so nice, the views were amazing and you truly are in the heart of nature. We spend our days at the pool and nights watching the stars. The house had everything and it looks even better in real life ❤️ Sandra was super sweet and responsive :) we are looking forward to come back, maybe next year 😍 obrigada :)

Unlike many places now where everything is done remotely, Jan lives in the place next door and is on hand to open up and make you feel at home. He truly cares about the place and the land surrounding it and has created the most lovely garden. Yes, it's a little off the beaten track but close enough to Silves to get whatever you need and then you can return to the most tranquil place to rest and recharge. His thoughtful, handmade, rustic touches are everywhere and make this place unique.

I enjoyed my stay here! Jose, was a great host! Very friendly and helpful! :) I would reccomend to people! Good amount of parking, and very homey :)

After staying in the windmill for a few days, we felt the need for a bit more space and a bath! Absolute luxury. beautiful apartment, very spacious, everything you could need.Tiago and staff were on hand for anything and went above and beyond. Free eggs and veg from the garden. Didn't want to leave. Absolute paradise. Would recommend any property here. The pool, the view, the peace and quiet... definitely want to go back. Note, this is in Nature as to be expected, bring mozzie spray Thank you, we hope to visit again soon

A super spacious and well-equipped accommodation. High-end bedding and especially a huge mattress in one of the bedrooms. Outdoor equipment: BBQ, sun loungers, garden table. We had a great time staying with Carla who is very nice as well as her husband. We highly recommend

Quinta Do Rapozinho is a beautiful place located in a former traditional northern farm. We had a bit of a struggle to find the place, arriving late at night didn’t help 😞. My advice is to write the name of the place on your satnav ( even if you are using your mobile like I did). The place itself is amazing, peaceful and all the staff is very friendly and helpful. Amazing location with stunning views and cows on the field some days. They work really hard to make you feel comfortable. The breakfast is varied and very tasty with plenty of home made butter, yoghurt and cake.Cheese, ham,granola, etc. We tried both,in the breakfast room and delivered to the room and they are equally delicious. We stayed in the Casa do Palheiro it’s cosy, warm and rustic in a good way. Our son and girlfriend joined us over the weekend and the space was plenty big for four adults,if you are looking for a taste of local history this is the place.

We had pleasure staying at Ana&Michael’s place even we had some challenges. Because of lots of rain, several parts of the road leading to the house very flooded so it was a bit of challenge reaching it but we were able to. Other day as rain did not stop we had much more muddy road and even more water but our car managed to get us out. So in case of bad weather would suggest a at least having mini jeep or 4x4 so you don't have to worry about reaching and leaving the place. Apart from that all was great, it's a great place to get away from all the people and rushing and just enjoy nature and beautiful surroundings.

We had a great time with the family at 7 in Mara's house. Theplace is beautifully nestled in nature with a beautiful view. The pool is not only well appointed,but in prettiest. A real pleasure to rest around the pool and dive in to cool off. The house is also well appointed: functional,well-equipped,especially the kitchen, clean and tasteful. The 2 bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. Outside, there is also a very nice small shaded orchard. Mara was a considerate and flexible host. She shared useful information. The house is also centrally located in the Douro Valley and allows you to radiate to all sides without having too long trips (you should know that all distances are sometimes very long in the region, hence theinterest ofa central position). Only small downside that we accommodated, 1 bathroom and toilet for a large group may be little.

Great place to stay, beautiful view and very comfortable.

We had a great time in Maria's house. The house is located out of the way and was therefore perfect for us with four smaller children. spacious, bright and equipped with every comfort.

The best stay we could wish for- old traditional Portugese house (with air conditioning!); big modern pool; olive and cork trees all around and the soundtrack of sheep’s bells. Total tranquility, and Evora, Estremoz and Monserz are within a short drive (the supermarket is 5 min drive). The owner, Paul, is very kind and helpful (brought us home grown vegetables and explained about the cork production, gave us useful cultural and culinary tips) - can’t wait to book again. It was such a pleasure!

It’s always great to stay with Graça. Wonderfully peaceful environment in the middle of a natural reserve. Thanks a lot once again!

Anabela is a kind soul that made all the process easy and without much burocracy. the place is in the middle of the woods, it has barbecue, pool and loads of places to chill....there's a beautiful dog and in the night time you can watch the stars and try to guess all the animal sounds you can hear!! if you looking for a Zen place, this is it :) will definitely comeback at some point

When I started planning my first trip to Portugal and was researching properties, I came across this one. I fell in love immediately and basically planned my whole trip around being able to experience what look like such an amazing place. I can only say that it far exceeded all of my high hopes. It is a gorgeous, soulful, serene, historic home. Every moment that we spent there was incredible. I fully intend to return and when I do, I am staying a lot longer than two days. Thank you so much, Paul, for sharing your incredible family home. Can’t wait to see you again!

It was a great stay. Beautiful, restorative, simple and relaxed. It is a great little place to stop and check out. We enjoyed the home, the land and all the people we met. The cats were very friendly and the family was as well. It is very peaceful and beautiful!

House exactly as described and just like the pictures. Very well decorated, comfortable and with a pool that made the children's delights. All very clean and tidy. Located near Cercal and Porto Covo, where there are supermarkets, pharmacy, commerce and good restaurants. The beaches are about 15, 20 minutes away by car and are many and different, it is worth knowing all and walking the trails that connect them (by jeep or on foot). The hosts, Paula and her husband, are very friendly and helpful, with great tips for places to visit and where you can eat well. A vacation to repeat.

I stayed at Catarina's lodge to celebrate my birthday with friends and family. Catarina was super sweet and opened the door of her house to make the birthday cake (which turned out to be 3, one of them made by herself. And I'm glad it was!). I have stayed in many accommodations but Catarina was undoubtedly the best host ever. We'll be back to Catherine's paradise for sure.

Fully equipped house, very clean everything, sheets, bathrooms, etc., very comfortable beds, kitchen in perfect condition. Totally recommended, we will return safe, and the person who served us will provide us with all the necessary information at all times. We were delighted with our stay.

Perfect location for 4 sharers who needed to stay close to the airport for a night. On the far side of the airport from the runway so not noisy. Lovely terrace too and overall place. Would recommend.
