Family-friendly vacation rentals in Portland

We had a wonderful and tranquil stay here. The setting is absolutely stunning, perfect for relaxation and disconnecting. On a rainy evening, we soaked in the hot tub and later fell asleep to the soothing sound of rain on the canvas and tin roof. The propane heater kept us cozy, and the bed was warm and comfortable under the covers. In the morning, we appreciated having the essentials to prepare and enjoy breakfast. One small tip for future guests: consider bringing a pair of flip-flops or easy slip-on shoes for trips to the hot tub or bathroom. It’s a minor thing, but it would have made those short walks even easier. Overall, this stay was a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and serenity. Highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway!

This beautiful property is off the beaten path, peaceful and bucolic, cozy and well appointed ... close to all you want to see and do in Portland. We woke to birdsong and woodpeckers, strolled through the vineyards, and then picnicked under the cherry blossoms along the Williamette in downtown Portland for lunch! The kitchen had everything we needed for a fun family dinner with game playing around the farmhouse table when the weather turned rainy in the evening. Highly recommended!

This place is a gem, for sure! What really stood out to us was that the house felt loved and cared for, in all the best ways. The garden was charming with its ponds and gazebo, and both house and yard made excellent use of space and felt much larger than the square footage would imply. Tabor Bread was an easy walk away and its pastries were delightful. There were many other restaurants in walking distance too. Dallas was an extremely responsive host and made us feel right at home. We would gladly stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay—this is a beautiful, peaceful property with lots of character, and communication with the hosts was responsive and kind. That said, a few of the amenities listed (laundry, fireplace, cold plunge) weren’t available during our visit, which was disappointing, especially since some were part of what drew us to the listing. That said, Dayna and Sarah were transparent, apologetic, and generous in offering a partial refund without us having to ask, which we really appreciated. Overall, a lovely stay, and I’m confident future guests will have an even better experience as these issues get resolved.

Diane's airbnb is conveniently located for us to visit our kids and grandkids, and also anyone who has students at Reed College. We love the feel of the neighborhood, and walking around at night is beautiful around Christmas time with lights on houses. Also, I should add, the bed was very very comfortable. Dianne and Michael made us feel welcome!

What a fantastic experience! Melissa is a great host and I could not ask for a better AirBNB. The home was very cute and for me and my girlfriend felt like our own little apartment! It’s got a lot of charm! The only thing that happened was the power went out while we were making dinner, but it was an easy fix! Thank you!

First this was the most amazing place absolutely just as described Host was the best very responsive and understanding ( he knows 😂) I would book this place 1000 times over The windows by the bed are amazing The shower is impressive You can tell there was a lot of hard personal work done into this place His YouTube video was very informative I actually watched it couple times to find out how to work certain remotes And the BED… will just leave it there… must book to find out for yourself 🥰🥰

The Art House perfectly met our needs. From the cozy fireplace to the comfy beds, we felt right at home on this mother-daughter time away. Leah was very responsive and provided a clear balance of privacy and friendliness -- respecting our time alone but inviting us to stop by to say hello should we choose :) We're looking forward to returning with the rest of the family.

We had to book this place last minute (day of) as our previous accommodations had cancelled on us. Susan was so easy to work with and was very helpful! Couldn’t have asked for a better saving of the day. The house was very clean, and was perfect for our group of gals. We had 1 guest that is severely allergic to dogs and even though this is a pet friendly house, not once did she have any type of reaction which goes to show just how clean the house was. I would absolutely recommend to a friend!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Susan and Steve's Casita for an extended stay. They are such kind, friendly, and attentive hosts! The Casita is so comfortable and quiet and you can't beat the location. The Alberta Arts District is a vibrant community with excellent restaurants, art galleries, taphouses and cafes within walking distance. Susan and Steve had excellent recommendations for us on places to go in the area. We highly recommend this accommodation for your next trip!!

Staying at Dennys luxury apartment was wonderful! The location was perfect very walkable with great restaurants and shops nearby! The place is spacious yet adorable with so many amenities ! He was a great host as was his wife! My dog loved the large fenced yard! I will definitely book here again! I highly recommend this luxurious place!!

I had a great experience during my four-night stay at Debra and David's home. The house was truly wonderful, making me feel completely at home. It was evident that the house was filled with beautiful memories. Debra was very helpful and attentive to her guests. All the essential amenities, along with some additional comforts, were readily available—everything you could possibly need was provided.

The Avion was delightful! It felt so homey and relaxing. I loved all the extra touches you provide- like the caravan coffee (with instructions), your wine glasses and complimentary ear plugs. Along with having each trailer themed from the rugs, pillows, couch, and blankets. It just made it feel special and personal. I look forward to coming back in the summer to fire up the grill and take advantage of the bikes and pool!

Our magical vintage trailer getaway was pure cozy bliss! Tucked away in a charming little spot, the rain only made the weekend feel more enchanting. With our pups snuggled beside us, we spent the days playing board games, sipping warm drinks, and listening to the soothing patter of raindrops on the roof. This is a nice and spacious basement apartment of a larger family home located in a beautiful and walkable neighborhood. The owners’ garden is lovely and quiet and there are windows in the apartment for light and fresh air. The shower is powerful and spacious with plenty of hot water. The kitchen had just what we needed, too. Perfect for a couple. Very private and peaceful and walking distance to restaurants. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The trailer was great. What an awesome idea! It was so nice being right in the middle of wine country and being able to drive down the road. The extra accoutrama like the pour over coffee and space heater made this better than it needed to be. Would definitely do this place again, thanks!

Jayme’s place was very convenient for us when we came to Wilsonville to visit our family. Clean nice place and it’s great for us that she shares her house on Airbnb when she is not at home!!

Julie was a generous host. It was a peaceful place for my family to stay and easy for our local family to come for meals and visit. Every morning we had coffee on the large private deck. We sat on the deck some evenings and enjoyed the fresh air and complete lack of mosquitoes. The two full bathrooms for the five of us were essential. We booked this house to have a great place to stay-in and have local family over but it was also close to many things in Portland. The zoo and the science museum were two of them. Julie was responsive to requests and just a very kind person.

Really fun experience, wish I could have stayed longer. I would absolutely recommend this listing to my friends
