Vacation rentals in Ponor

The house is modest but enough to enjoy a more simple lifestyle in nature. It was warm enough during cold February winter, I used wood and the heater too, upstairs is very easy to warm up the bedroom. I traveled with my dog and it was a win win situation as she stayed all day long outside with the other local dogs fooling around. Lots to see in the surroundings even at a walking distance, no need for the car. There’s a huge cave, a river and nice paths close by. I did a barbecue in the back yard one day and the other I ate at the nearby restaurant/inn, pretty good food there, super traditional. I wished to rent it for longer but was afraid of the low temperatures, downstairs in the morning is freezing, the heat from the fireplace doesn’t keep long. Loved it overall.

Great spot. The place was clean and easy to find. The hot tub was a bonus—super simple to use. Definitely recommend!

I came during the cold winter time when it reaches to about -10 deg C. Toilet was frozen and the fire stove inside was not warming the cabin enough because of how cold it was. I was freezing the first night there, but glad I survived that night of -10 deg C with barely any heating but just layers and layers of clothes. Also, now that I think about, I can't imagine having to shower outside in the freezing temperatures. But Bordan was very kind to offer his own personal cabin (he's away so it was empty) in the valley the next day and for the rest of my stay of 6 nights. In this second cabin, the fire stove and heater works perfectly, with warm shower and a working toilet. Though there are neighbours, it was still very peaceful, quiet and also had beautiful views. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Though he wasn't around during my stay, he asked his neighbours/friends to drive me to the bus stop to ensure that I wasn't in the cold for too long. I'm truly grateful. 🥰

Really nice place and perfectly located next to Rimetea. The swimming pool is amazing and the views of the surrounding hills is relaxing. We came with our two kids and met with two friends over there. The house has everything, we couldn’t find anything missing, even their music left in the speakers was super. Lots of trails in the area within a short driving distance.

This is a mythical place, where you come to find the things you lost. The moment you step inside, all the troubles of the world fade away, mind declutters. When I left, I felt more energised than I came. what an incredible place It is such a simple, beautiful and cozy place to live. Absolutely incredible. Also keeping the fire is very addicting and such a cool and grounding activity

We had an amazing stay, the ciubar was perfect(someone mentioned in reviews they couldn’t warm it up in 2 days, we managed to do it in 3 hours and stays hot for a very long time), sauna is great too, we had a very good night sleep the beds are really comfy. Thanks for everything and hope we will come back soon!

This is an incredible spot for those looking to enjoy the mountains in the region. The interior of the house is very simple and not for those who want a boutique accommodation, but the location is fabulous and the house has everything you might need. Our host was super friendly and generous, the house had lots of charcoal and logs for the barbecue, plenty of towels and cleaning products. The location really is fantastic. We had a fabulous time.
