Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Ozark Mountains

Like myself, I'm sure many people book this for the history and legacy of Yogi Berra and the New York Yankees but the hosts, Mary and Jay are equally important. They are the most wonderful, down-to-earth people. Mary is Yogi's niece so hearing stories about Uncle Yogi was amazing! The house is immaculate and welcoming with Yogi memorabilia. Mary and Jay drove us around the neighborhood on their golf cart to see where Yogi played ball and the wonderful neighborhood called The Hill. As we drove around, folks in their front yards waved hello to Mary. It was a step back in time where neighbors all know and look out for each other. It is a wonderful area with Italian bakeries and restaurants, all within walking distance of the house. Breakfast was ready for us in the mornings (Jay makes a mean breakfast). Even if you're not a Yogi and Yankees fan, you should consider staying here because of the location and the wonderful hosts.

As others have said, it’s hard to review Brandon’s place because it’s so wonderful that I don’t want to reveal this secret! I could go on and on but I’ll keep it brief- easy to get to, gorgeous walkable neighborhood, clean , quiet, so comfy. Wet had such a great stay and only wish it had been longer!

A beautiful location with super comfy bed and roomy shower. The host was very friendly and the breakfast was yummy. The only issue was the noisy upstairs floors.

Have an absolutely wonderful day at this Airbnb! There was supposed to be bad weather for the weekend in the hosts. Let me put my car in the barn so that it was protected. They also left a massive flashlight in case power was lost due to the weather. They left 2 fishing poles and nightcrawlers for me to fish in the pond! I don’t think I have been fishing in 10 years! The place itself was clean and well kept. There was a delicious fresh loaf of bread on the counter. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to everyone! Especially if you are looking for a cozy quiet getaway.

Peaceful stop on a cross country trip for work. We were able to park our 16 foot box truck across from the barn. Martha was proactive in giving directions to get inside, as we were arriving later than initially planned. She had breakfast in the refrigerator for us, and even accomadated my vegan coworker. We were unfortunately unable to meet her, but did meet her son, daughter in law and husband. They were great and her husband showed us around the farm, and we got to see the baby cows. They were the cutest. She also has a dog named Max who greeter me in the morning with a toy. The airbnb is very private and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

amazing visit! Checking in was super easy and the room was more then advertised. very friendly and cozy. was greeted with genuine smile. it's the perfect place to stay when visiting. super close walking distance from local downtown shops and restaurants

TL;DR: we had a great stay, even if we brought the rain with us. We booked Larry’s pink room for a quick mother-daughter weekend adventure, and it was the perfect fit for us. Strong marks for convenience, price, and comfort (just make sure you can parallel park, that’s 90% of your options in STL). The pink room has a lovely firm mattress (Queen) and good closet space. There’s a small couch by the window which was great for reading when we needed a break from exploring the city. Larry keeps a small fridge in the room with some complementary beverages, plus a triple USB port for easy charging of your devices. Lots of windows if you’re luckier than we were and actually see the sun on your visit. The pink room uses a shared bathroom, which was perfectly fine for us. Larry had lots of great suggestions for local activities/food, and breakfast helped us fuel up for our day! Day one was a full English style breakfast, day two was a lovely veggie frittata and waffles! Would stay again!

very nice little place. Not a ton of options near Greeley where my wife's family is from but found this on a recommendation from a friend and glad we did! Very reasonable price and a nice clean place.

My daughter and I had a great time! The breakfast was amazing and probably the funnest part of the day for me. The views and the ability to have a fire was clutch we loved our stay! And will definitely be back.

This is my 2nd time staying at Rooms on Cherry. You really can't beat the location - right in the middle of downtown Columbia and walkable to everything. Linda has added lots of nice touches - muffins, coffee & creamer, etc. It's a great place to stay for a quick Mizzou visit.

Really enjoyed our stay. There were plenty of beds and space to accommodate our large group. It was an easy 15-20 minute walk to all of the major spots in Soulard, and we felt safe in the neighborhood. Easy self check-in process.

Tommy is a great host. It’s not that often you find someone as nice and hospitable as him. Also let me say he makes a mighty good breakfast!

Beautiful and quiet neighborhood! Lovely home with everything we needed! We were driving through and only stayed 1 night, but we all felt recharged and would like to return!

Daniel’s place is conveniently located in Midtown. Restaurants and clubs are abundant. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Daniel was very nice and made sure that we had everything we needed. Great communication, highly recommended.

We so enjoyed Denise and David, as they were extremely friendly and helpful. They made us feel like family, we shared some great stories of our individual travels, and we had a lot of laughs. The room was clean and comfortable, and her biscuits and gravy were awesome!!! We would recommend staying with them to anyone.

Leah was such a special host that made us feel at ease and served us graciously. I enjoyed getting to know her and she also gave us space and the downtime we needed. Her homemade tea and cake and breakfast spread were amazing!!!

This place had it all!! Ron and Steven were so accommodating and made themselves available for anything I needed. Hot tub was private, hot and clean. Carriage house is secluded and a 12/10. They even left delicious Blueberry muffins in the kitchen area for our enjoyment. Super super clean, that was nice! They also had invited us to write postcards, with the Carriage House letterhead, so we could send to our loved ones.... they put postage on the envelope and mailed them as well. Just the best of three best at The Carriage House! I cannot wait to come back in the Spring/Summer to hit Kansas Crossing Casino (4 mi away) and enjoy their beautiful patio when all plants are outside and thriving weather is warm. You would be missing out to not book this place, for real. Just a wonderful getaway, thanks guys ❤️❤️😎

Really beautiful place, feels both authentic and updated. We had trouble at one point getting in, and Jonas fixed the problem immediately. We went to the magic show down the street--we recommend it.

We LOVED our stay here. We rented two rooms (Phares & Davidson) for a long weekend. This home is absolutely beautiful! Alyssa has done a fantastic job of keeping the victorian-era feel but also having it feel fresh, updated, and comfortable. All of the common areas felt very inviting and usable. Our bedrooms felt cozy and relaxing. The beds are extremely comfortable and all linens and towels were bright, fresh, and soft! Rooms had tvs, as well. Small things we appreciated were a coffee station and small fridge upstairs stocked with waters. Also, liked having labeled space in main fridge for some of our personal items. It has a very nice front porch and back deck, as well. This home is just 1-2 blocks from the Old Town Cape area with lots of shops, restaurants, and the riverfront. Our host, Alyssa, was very warm, inviting, and friendly. She was always available- but not intrusive, and always ready to give info about the house, Cape area, etc. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Merle's Nest was the perfect place for a quick girlfriend meetup! The place was clean, quiet, and in the middle of Chanute's small downtown. The host was responsive to our requests and needs, and the decor and cleanliness were excellent. There is no cleaning fee, so you are expected to clean up after yourself, which is more than fair. We enjoyed our time!
