Chalet vacation rentals in Ormont-Dessous

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chalet Cosmos from March 1st to March 8th, 2025. Our group of five adults and three children (ages 2.5, 13, and 14) felt completely at home. The chalet is just as beautiful as in the photos—spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The stunning view of Mont Blanc from the window made every morning special, especially while enjoying a warm cup of tea or coffee. The house is very warm and cozy, with comfortable rooms for everyone. The fully equipped kitchen had more than enough glasses, plates, and utensils, making meal preparation effortless. We also really appreciated the selection of board games, which provided great entertainment after a long day on the slopes. The location is perfect for exploring the four ski resorts in the Chamonix area, and we were able to visit them all. The chalet was an ideal base for our adventures.

In a beautiful authentic cottage, with a small stream, the forest 10 m away, facing the mountains, as a family... what more could you ask for? It's a hypnosis session every day, which makes you peaceful like nature. Thank you to you and your wife, for your warm welcome and listening. Chalet at the top! Very well equipped and quiet. Beautiful view of the Mont Blanc massif. I would highly recommend it.

We were in a group of 8 people for a weekend with friends, Catherine was very kind and always attentive to our needs. We made it easy to check in to the cottage before time to drop off our belongings. Very nice of him. No doubt we'll be back someday. Everything is nearby, very well located. Great! Thanks Catherine!

Amazing modern house, with beautiful views, perfectly located in Malbuisson (close pool, walks, lake on foot, not far from ski resorts, polar park, cross country skiing, a few restaurants, supermarkets...), with lots of sleeping and bathrooms, 2 lounge areas, large balconies, an open garden with swings, plenty of parking spaces, a garage to store outdoor equipment... Perfect for large groups of friends/families. Duvets and blankets to choose from, and quite in number. Plenty of dishes, everything you need in the kitchen, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, lots of space in several fridges/freezers (no hair dryer found). Several sleds available. The owners are very friendly, and live right next door (reassuring in case of any worries). We recommend it without hesitation! Provide basic equipment (garbage bags, dishwashing products, hygiene products...)

We had a great week's vacation at Chalet d 'Etienne. Etienne was a very nice host and took the time to inquire about the surroundings. As indicated in the listing, in winter the chalet is accessible by a small step of 5/10 minutes. 3 parking spaces are reserved in the parking lot before taking the path on foot to access the chalet. The environment is beautiful and peaceful. The Nordic bath and sauna (with a splendid view) are a real plus. Inside the chalet is very comfortable. For skiing: ski touring is possible at the foot of the chalet. For downhill skiing the areas of Praz de Lys and Les Gets are 10/15 minutes away. If we have a chance, we will come back without hesitation.

Amazing chalet! We had a fantastic stay and thoroughly enjoyed this AirBnB. The home is absolutely beautiful and the icing on the cake was the beautiful view out of the nice big picture window. We had everything we needed. We even enjoyed a delicious fondue meal there. Thank you for hosting us!

We had a wonderful stay at Warrens. He greeted us with a selection of local meats, cheeses and wines. He was so very responsive and flexible with check in and check out. The place is perfect for some time a way with a group of friends- couldn’t recommend highly enough

Beautiful stay in Delphine's chalet. Excellent communication and availability to meet all of our expectations. Very comfortable, great view, easy to access and 5" from the Princess's gondola. Ideal for families with children. We highly recommend it.

Jon’s place was beautiful — great views and all of us were very comfortable. The sweet town of Argentière was very walkable, which was super nice as well. I believe it may actually be a ski in/ski out if there was more snow snow once you get to the trails, but we found ourselves walking about 20 minutes to the closest lift. We didn’t get the catered package, which is what they prefer and encourage. We did have a bespoke meal from one of their chefs which was absolutely delicious and would recommend. I loved waking up with I our amazing view of Grand Montet and felt like the chalet was a very special find. Many thanks Jon and team!

We had an incredible stay at Frank’s property! The house is absolutely stunning—spacious, beautifully designed, and maintained to the highest standards. It’s in a great location, not far from the city center and the ski resorts. The amenities were top-notch, with a dreamlike outdoor jacuzzi and sauna, and the house itself was equipped with everything you could possibly need. The cleanliness was impeccable, making our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Frank was an outstanding host, always available for any questions or requests, ensuring we had a seamless experience. I highly recommend Frank and the properties he manages—this was truly a five-star stay!

Me and a group of my friends had a great stay in Chalet Castorette. The location was well connected to the city center. The skiing in Chamonix was incredible. The Airbnb looked as beautiful as on the pictures during our stay.

This chalet was stunning! From the moment you walk in, it takes your breath away. David was incredibly helpful and responsive both before and during our stay. It is so peaceful and the view of the mountains was amazing. We loved the chalet and highly recommend!

The hosts, Nathan and Pierre, met us at the Chalet at check in and walked us through the entire home. They assisted with dinner reservations, dinner suggestions and ski recommendations. They delivered breakfast to our table, and/or to our doorstep each morning at our preferred time. They made any changes to our breakfast order upon request. They provided cleaning service half way through our stay. The bathrooms and kitchen were cleaned and towels were changed. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. We texted them into the late evening hours and they responded within minutes. The Chalet is equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen and bathrooms, including laundry detergent. We did have an issue with getting the car up the small hill to the garage. Even with snow tires we had difficulty. There is an alternate route to parking along the street behind the chalet. Walk into town was 10-15 mins. Our stay was memorable and would book this chalet again.

We had a lovely stay, the hot hot tub facing the top mountain, and close to bus stops, very convenient! The chalet is well equipped!

very nice house! It has all the amenities you need and it is extremely close to the beach and to a nice park. Also nice garden with barbecue and a lot of play stuff. The kitchen is perfect. It was self check-in and there were no instructions, so at first some things, like sorting trash and using the TV, were difficult. I would definitely recommend this house. It was perfect for a group of 10 adults.

I have always wanted to stay in a chalet in the mountains and that’s exactly what I got. The views from the balcony were incredible and we were there for my brothers wedding which was in the hotel at the bottom of the hill. The walk up to the chalet is quite steep and I had a one year old with me. It would be more ideal to stay there in the summer with a young child due to the weather and the condition of the walk e.g. snow and ice but this didn’t stop us! We used a child carrier and then I opted to stay in the hotel with my mum for the last two nights so we didn’t have to carry my baby up. However, this is not a negative for my review. We still walked up the hill in snow with my baby and he loved it! The rest of my family stayed at the chalet and had a great time! It was always warm with under floor heating in the bedrooms downstairs. I would highly recommend staying here for a peaceful holiday and also has great bus links for skiing!

Thank you for this little cottage in the middle of the mountains and facing Mont Blanc! We recommend this cottage, however we recommend it for two people to be really comfortable! Otherwise it's perfect we'll be back with pleasure! Thank you

Very good stay in a small Savoyard mazot, very peaceful and beautiful environment with a magnificent view, beautiful walks nearby. Everything you need for 2 people, with small balcony and table in the garden. We recommend!

A considerate host who gave us a perfect hospitality (even remotely!). The cottage is really nice and spacious, it is a perfect place to stand on the edge of the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, and especially to enjoy the enchanting environment of the Lake.

Charming place in a great location. Everything you need is available. Ideal for relaxing and switching off. The region offers many opportunities for excursions, activities, walking and eating. Pleasant camping with friendly residents and helpful staff. Ideal for us as a family with two children! We also enjoyed the proximity to the lake to the fullest.
