Cabin vacation rentals in Orillia

We came for the long weekend (15 of us) and had a blast. We loved the surrounding areas and went for a long walk, the trees, the views , the colours 💕💕💕. The had clear instructions and sticky notes everywhere and there was no confusion. We stayed up for the campfire late, used the hot tub, grilled our meat, and had the time of our lives. Even though we just stayed for one night it felt really long. We are grateful for Todd and Karen and their amazing place with beautiful interior details. Will recommend this place.

John was a great host! Super friendly upon arrival and throughout our stay. His co-host pup Shado was a sweetheart and always wagged her tail when we came in. We stayed in the bunkie which was super cozey, clean, warm and private which overlooks the lake when sleeping in the bed. The main house was beautiful and had a great view of the lake from his living room as well as outside. We watched the sunrise on his 3 story deck and the outdoor hot tub overlooking the lake was a highlight of our evening. The washroom in the main house is shared with another guest that is staying in the house but it was really clean. We highly recommend and would love to stay here again in the summer months!

We had a lovely stay at Sochet’s place! It’s absolutely stunning, well taken care of, and easy to find. Sochet is also very communicable. I would be weary when travelling in the winter and ensure your vehicle is well equipped to handle the conditions - we have a crossover SUV that struggled to get up the steep, narrow driveway due to ice. The parking space is also very tight this time of year, and we couldn’t fit more than two vehicles. Just a word of caution :)

Sarah’s place was beautiful and exactly what we needed for a restful week away! We loved the included amenities and made sure to put them to good use. Whenever we needed something, Sarah was very prompt to answer and assist us! We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend the beach house or one of her other two properties at the Inspire Beach Resort.

Very happy with our stay. Perfect size rental for the two of us, but I can see it comfortably fitting a family of four. Kitchen and bathrooms had everything you would need. Extra blankets for cold nights. Although we traveled here in the middle of winter for a staycation, and didn't experience the outdoors, I could tell that this would be a lovely place to spend a summer getaway. Shaolin was a lovely host and very responsive.

Amazing property and amazing stay!

Victoria was an amazing host, she was more than accommodating. Her place was very well decorated, the beds were so comfy. The hot tub was great. I would recommend her place to anyone looking for peace and quiet and just an overall great place to stay and relax. We were there in the winter, it was so pretty though. We definitely would like to go back in the warmer weather too. 100% recommended.

The pictures don't do this place justice. It was better in every way. Grand kid and pet friendly. Will definitely be back if she will have us.

Jennifer and Nigel were so friendly and accommodating. We came up after a huge snowfall and they spent a lot of time clearing it so it was easy to drive our car in and walk to the bunkie. They even took the time to set up a fire in the pit outside and pre-warmed the bunkie (it was -23 the night we stayed!) we were cozy and comfortable for the night we stayed. Would definitely recommend Jennifer and Nigel’s bunkie in the pines.

Perfect weekend get away. Close to the city. Lots of outdoor space for the kids to play.

My friends and I stayed at this cottage over Thanksgiving weekend and had an amazing time! The cottage was clean and had all the amenities needed. The location was beautiful, with the canoe, kayak and pedal boat being an amazing way to explore the lake. Kristian was also a great host - responded fast, gave recommendations, and was very welcoming. We would definitely recommend this place!

We had an awesome stay (my husband and 5 year old). Janice made us feel like welcome guests in their space and takes great pride in their cottage. So many down to earth things to do & explore! The pictures do not capture the wonderful experience we had. Waking up to the sights and sounds lily pad pond and then hearing the frogs & crickets at night was a lovely experience. We would highly recommend this cottage stay. Great space & Great hosts! Thank you we would stay again!

The ambiance was very modern with the hint of rustic decor and soft lighting that brought the overall experience into a pleasurable and romantic stay. Walking distance to the beach with an astonishing lakeside view. The amenities including the outdoor sauna was well maintained and clean adding to the comfortability of our getaway. Adam is a great host, super friendly and very fast responding. A definite recommendation to our friends & families!

We stayed for 4 nights at this cottage in late September, just as the autumn leaves were setting in. It was rainy at night but we enjoyed cozy nights watching The Hobbit or playing board games by the roaring fireplace. During the days, we did multiple hikes around Hardy Lake, went to Bala (a very quaint town-we made jokes about being in a cheesy Hallmark movie), toured the cranberry bogs and trails with hot wine drinks and just enjoyed time at the cottage. There is something for everyone whether you’re a cook, book-lover or outdoors enthusiast. We brought our two dogs who loved hiking the trails, watching chipmunks, swimming near the shore , and lounging on the dock. They even got into the canoe. There was a friendly senior dog who wandered down to say hi a couple times. The highlight of it all- we got engaged there! :) :) :) Sarah and Chris, you must be so proud of this enchanting cottage where so many special life moments were created.

I had a fantastic weekend at their property with my fiancé in the beginning of November. The entire place was immaculately clean. there was access to trails throughout the property and we had complete privacy. Value for money Good enough was unbeaten, and I strongly recommend this place. Their description is spot on there, was no surprises.

Our stay at Sunmeet’s place was excellent! He was very responsive and quick to communicate, which made everything smooth and hassle-free. He was also kind enough to accommodate our request for a late check-out, which we really appreciated. The space itself was cozy, clean, and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing stay. The location was convenient and well-situated. Highly recommended!

Perfect little getaway with friends - we very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage! We loved the peaceful backyard and the fully equipped kitchen. We also enjoyed Tiny as there were lots of trails and beaches to explore. Samuel made check-in very easy and was quick to respond to any communications. Highly recommend this stay!

i have been here 2 years in a row and had a great experience every time. Absolutely wonderful from the inside to the outside. I highly recommend staying here.

This place is exactly what I was hoping for when I booked it. The cabin is at the end of a hilly hiking trail in a very private spot. The views over the valley are even better in-person than in the pictures. The weather was clear for us, and at night you could see the stars so clearly. The bed was comfy, kitchen was good for its size, and the hosts were responsive and friendly. There are a few minor items left to finish on the cabin, but that didn’t bother us at all. We will be back and highly recommend this as a place to stay if you’re looking for something private and peaceful.

Nicole was a fantastic host. Her place was super cozy and well supplied, has everything you could possibly need for a weekend stay. Highly recommend staying at boom-shack-a-la. 11/10.

The place was relaxing and we felt like we’re home.

It is clear the owners have put a lot of care and thought to every aspect of a stay at their cottage. Outside, there were 3 canoes available with PFDs and paddles; the dock was perfect for fishing- we caught bass and sunfish, and catfish, plus we also swam too. Pool noodles and ample outdoor dock seating was also available. The outdoor seating and dining area was really wonderful and afforded a view of the river still but also surrounded by trees that sound so lovely in the wind. There are neighbors on either side but everyone keeps to their own and feels very private. The barbecue worked great and it was so thoughtful how there was a lighter and a spatula and tongs clean and provided for easy access. The place was stacked with things you may have forgotten at home like a post-swim q-tip or herbal tea. The forest across the street is uninhabited and was great for mushroom foraging. I would 100% recommend this place as it had exceeded our expectations at every turn.

This was a very special place to host a ladies get together. Very spacious, 4 large bedrooms with multiple indoor hangout spaces. The screened in porch was where we spent most of out time. Fully equipped kitchen with large table for meals. Great fire pit area, super private and peaceful. Sitting by the river was also a great feature. Meghan was very responsive to questions as well. A great stay!
