Vacation rentals with a firepit in Ōpōtiki District

From our initial communication until our departure, we were made to feel very welcome by Jocelyn and Graeme. The well supplied, self-contained space we stayed in was like a home away from home. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility, with a lovely area on a small deck to sit and relax with bird song for company. Bed was very comfortable, and bathroom, kitchen, and lounge areas superb. A short walk to the beach, wharf, harbour and outlets for coffee, takeaways, and an excellent restaurant. Thank you, Jocelyn and Graeme, for enabling us to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable weekend at Beachwood.

We had an incredible stay at Hidden Gem, Whanarua Bay. This spacious place truly exceeded our expectations. The accommodation was clean, equipped with everything we needed, outdoors bath delightful touch, fabulous bbq area, pizza oven, brazier, washing machine a great convenience, toilet and shower facilities made the stay even more comfortable. The setting is safe, secure and perfect environment for relaxation and rejuvenation. Immersed in breathtaking views of nature in complete tranquility, such a peaceful and scenic spot from the hustle and bustle. Thank you so much Alistair (down to earth, great communication, responsive host) and siblings for sharing your family paradise. Highly recommend! We definitely will return.

We loved everything about the cottage and had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. Tracey has thought of everything and we appreciated all the little touches. The facilities are of a very high standard with an incredible bathroom and very well-stocked kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the location so close to the beach and loved being able to swim with nobody around and join the Motu trail for walks. We will definitely be back and have no hesitation in recommending the cottage.

Great house for our girls weekend away. Clean and tidy, great location to beach. Went to restaurant that was recommended by the hosts and would highly recommended it. Would love to come back and stay again. Maree

Bay like a fairytale. She upgraded others for free, so I was the only one in the shared room. Gave me eggs for free to complete my dinner. They have great boat for sea-fishing. Pity I didn‘t have time to go on it.

The East Cape community is a special part of Aotearoa NZ. SH35 is a beautiful road to cruise, with great scenery everywhere. Ellie's place is exceptional even by these standards. She's part of a hard-working young family so there's other stuff going on from time to time but that enhances your stay. A terrific Kiwi experience.

We booked this BnB for one of our employees working offsite in this area, we wanted something clean, modern and safe for her to return to at night and this ticked all the boxes as a great little home away from home and bonus being so close to the beach. Debby was a fantastic host, great communication and fast responses, thanks for going the extra mile for Melissa it was appreciated. Would recommend this place to others.
