Shepherd's Hut vacation rentals in Northamptonshire

Super nice host! Katherine was really helpful about accommodating our last minute booking, and even drove us back to town when we left. Thank you very much for a great stay :)

We had a very peaceful stay, was an idyllic retreat watching the wild owls, deer & the hares. Hot tub was awesome, the hut was toasty and the provisions shop was a nice touch. Would come back!

Overall, accommodation was great and everything went well. Things that I would like to point out. List of amenities these things are not correct. 1. Carbon monoxide alarm for the fireplace. The bedroom is not operational which is a hazard. 2. Coffee machine was not there. We asked and we were kindly given a jar instant coffee. 3. Outdoor to dining area doesn't exist. there is ourdoor furniture but not a dining area. 4. Outdoor kitchen doesn't exist either. They are correct, there is a BBQ as mentioned on the amenities , but that is not a outdoor kitchen. 5. I understand there is no Wi-Fi available. Which would I was okay with as I have 50GB of data. What I was not aware is that the location is in a virtually a signal dead zone there was one spot that we had to go to , if we wanted to receive our Whats-App messages. I would see this as an important thing to mention to people. Lastly , we had the lovely couple who lived at the corner who were available when we needed to ask questions.

Perfect little getaway for my husband’s birthday. Lynden and Andy were great hosts and communication was brilliant! Beautiful shepherds hut with everything that you need. The animals are all so friendly and well loved and looked after, it was a very relaxing weekend e loved every minute. Breakfast at Morton’s was amazing and dinner at the Grey Goose was equally as good! Recommend the local Indian takeaway too! Thanks Lynden and Andy for making the weekend so special xx

Perfect for our short stay in Milton Keynes, hut was lovely and was nice to have some tea and biscuit provisions. Easy check in and a beautiful area to be set up at. Hut is right next to the farm house and store. Fortunately we had no noise from either. Overall very pleased, only slight issue was that the bathroom fan wasn't working (or we couldn't work out how to turn it on) so it got very humid in there, some signs of mould but could be related to the fan so I'm sure will get fixed soon.

We had a fantastic stay, the hut was lovely, cosy but plenty of space and everything that you need. The view and wildlife was amazing, owls, dears, foxes, kestrels, red kites just to name a few. Jonathan was an amazing host and couldn’t have done anything more for us. When staying here the shepards hut next to us was empty, so this made it very exclusive but If it had people staying in it this would have been a big negative for us, as it makes both huts not very private especially outside and walking to the hot tubs. Probably wouldn’t return because of this which is a shame as it is a lovely place.

Very close to, just 15 minutes, but out of the sprawl of Oxford; in beautiful farmland with fabulous walks and charming pubs, rivers for dipping into. Beautifully decorated space with everything one needs, quietly located in the corner of a field. Really comfortable bed with cushions, perfect place to read, with good light and a window. Recommend local-ish Mason Arms for relaxed coffee and papers. Good shower and thoughtful makeup mirrors in communal bathroom. Very quick response (booked hours before!) and kind and welcoming welcome.

Lovely little cabin in the woods, we had a great stay here over New Year. Milan was very helpful and came to see if we needed anything, although we didn't as the cabin is comfortable and well stocked already. We would certainly come again!

It is bigger than you think with more than enough space for me and two children. We will definitely be back for some more peaceful nights away.

We had the most amazing three-night glamping stay at Elliott’s Rectory Farm’s Shepherd’s Hut! It was the perfect mix of peaceful countryside vibes and cozy comfort. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed. The farm, once a working dairy for generations, is a beautiful, quiet retreat in rolling fields with the sounds of nature. It really felt like stepping away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Hut was fantastic—charming, warm, and thoughtfully designed. The wood-burning stove was a lifesaver on the chilly February nites, made it feel extra cozy and the bed sooo comfy. A few steps away, a private bath and shower were super modern and spotless, a nice surprise for a glamping setup. In the evenings, we sat outside by the fire cauldron with a warm drink, watching the stars and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The perfect way to end each day. It is a relaxing escape that captures the charm of the English countryside. Dreaming of our next stay!

I booked this in a bit of a hurry for a three day bike trip with my son. I couldn’t have been happier with my choice. A fabulous location - beautiful buildings and architecture - barely a blade of grass out of place. The Shepherds hut was fantastic for the two of us - squeaky clean and comfortable in a lovely situation Welcoming informal staff. Feel like I dropped lucky with this one.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. I booked this for my partners birthday and it was perfect. The hut was spotless and really tastefully decorated. There was additions to the hut which made it really special, access to fresh apple juice, fresh eggs from the chickens, private hut with gas fire and Prosecco trail. We also made use of the tandem to explore the area which was great fun! The host was really welcoming and attentive and we will definitely look to return in the future! Couldn’t fault it - thank you very much.

Peaceful stay and beautiful views

We had a really lovely stay. The shepherds hut was very cosy and clean. We had a lot of privacy and a beautiful view. There was everything you needed and more. I would love to stay here again and highly recommend. Thank you for such a lovely break.

Clean accommodation with cosy, decorative features. There was also a thoughtful addition of wine and flowers upon arrival. The Shepherds hut is a quiet and peaceful location, ideal as a base for visiting nearby Stratford Upon Avon and Warwick. I would thoroughly recommend this beautiful place for a weekend getaway. We had a lovely weekend in this Shepard’s Hut. It’s in a great location and was very dog friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful stay at the cabin, everything about it was perfect and exactly as described. Tamsin is a great host, she provided lots of information and helpful recommendations for the surrounding area. The hot tub is the main attraction here, easy to use and easy to light with wood and kindling provided. The cabin was clean and the air fryer was very useful. I would reccomend this stay to anyone.

Perfect location,had everything we needed,couldn’t ask for more . Hopefully we can come one summer to make the most of the amenities.

We had a wonderful time at Bryony's! The shepherds hut is really a five star experience - every last small detail was thought through and it feels like what a shepherds hut kitted out by someone with experience in the luxury hotel industry would be like. The kitchen had everything you could want, the underfloor heating was so cozy, and the special details decorating the cottage for valentines day was the icing on the cake! Bryony's recommendation of the Bell Inn for dinner/ Sunday roast we loved, and made our stay even more special. We wouldn't hesitate to come back for a cozy weekend!

We had a lovely peaceful stay here for our birthday! The bath took a bit of working out to get the right temperature but we were lovely and warm in the end despite it being 1°c outside - thankfully there were bathrobes for us to use which was perfect! The canal and a little shop are literally 2min walk from the hut and we went to a nice pub just down the road (the admiral nelson) - you can either walk down the road or the canal to get there. Our dogs loved the paddock and cosy fire 🔥 Thank you so much 😊

We went to the Shepheards hut for NYE to get away from the hussle and bussle and it was perfect. Extremely peaceful and the surrounding were beautiful! We saw our fair share of wildlife such as Owls and Birds of Prey. The Shepheards Hut was very clean, with all amenities provided. Great attention to detail ie. they're are board games and playing cards provided and lots of informative books about the local area and wildlife. Surprisingly very spacious aswell. As a whole, we had a great time, great value for money, and would highly recommend!

An absolute 5* experience if you’re looking for a tranquil getaway beside a picturesque lake. Lottie was incredibly helpful and responded to our queries almost instantly, the outside light was on too incase we arrived after dark. It really was a fabulous place for a relaxing break away, we will definitely be back!
