Beachfront vacation rentals in Nigg Bay

We had a lovely 3 night stay in Alexa’s cottage. The property is in a great location if you wish to travel further north, it took us less than an hour to get to John O’Groats. There is a walk to the small pebble beach 5 minutes from the cottage. The cottage is by a river which is lovely to listen to at night. Our dog enjoyed the walks nearby. The cottage stays warm and the rain shower js lovely! The living room is small and cosy, with plenty of firewood. The kitchen is stocked with all cutlery and dishes. I would say bring your own tea bags/coffee if you have more than 1 cup a day. Also bring your own shower gel, something we forgot! The hosts are helpful and responsive. Everyone we met nearby were all were kind and friendly people. All in all, a lovely place to stay. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to visit that area.

Amazing space to stay for our trip!! The photos only give a hint at the incredible setting and landscape. Perfect for our family stay and there was nothing that could have been improved. Thank you for making us feel welcome and providing such a great base for us to explore the Highlands. Hope to revisit in the future.

It was delightful to stay at Liz's place. 3 cottages from the beautiful Lossiemouth Beaches and Sanddunes and a wee walk to Ashers bakery, the Pharmacy and Beachside street of restaurants, pubs and ice cream/Cafe and Sweet shops. The cottage is tiny, comfy, well equipped and peaceful. I enjoyed my stay here very much! Thank you Liz!

A lovely cosy cottage with everything that was needed to make us feel right at home. The dogs were made to feel very welcome too. Excellent location right on the sea front. Sue was most friendly and helpful even letting us sit out front on their bench looking out to sea! We would most definitely stay there again!

We had a lovely 2 day stay at Margaret’s b and b cabin. It was peaceful and a delightful cosy space. We were given wonderful extras on our arrival with a nightcap and chocolates and breakfast for both mornings. Both Margaret and her husband were friendly and communicated very promptly and we had everything we needed Highly recommended Thanks so much for having us

The space was beautiful and had all essential amenities. Everything was perfectly clean. The sauna on site was a brilliant treat and was a lovely relaxing way to end a busy day of travelling. The area around the cabin was calm & serene. We would definitely stay again.

Really Nice Location, and the cottage was absolutely lush. Will be coming back here soon.

My wife and our 2 little boys stayed at Gemma’s place for 3 nights. Instructions were great, check-in was easy, the place was spotless and within 50m walk of the beach. Helpfully, all of the things that you need for a short stay but don’t wish to buy especially were also there (eg buckets and spades, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, olive oil, soap, tea coffee etc) a great stay - thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s caravan. The place was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. Jennifer was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and always happy to help. Communication was excellent from start to finish. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely book again in the future!

Sarah was a fantastic host and really friendly. She kindly delivered new garden furniture which was really appreciated given the lovely weather. A great caravan with everything you need.

Lovely stay at Shirley’s lodge. Caravan was really clean, beds super comfy and lots of games was a bonus. Great to have the bath, washing machine and dishwasher. Place was spotless and loved the decor. One row back from the beach and huge bit of grass at the front for the kids. Great communication from Shirley and we all had a fab time

We had an amazing few days at The Thistle. The van is beautifully kitted out with everything you could possibly need. Everything is catered for, down to cooking oil, tin foil, kitchen roll. All the things that are normally forgotten. The beds were very comfy and linens of a high quality. It was a home from home. The van is right on the shoreline and the beach and views are beautiful. Dornoch is only a few miles away and has some lovely restaurants but there is an onsite restaurant and pub too. Tanya went over and above for our stay and we greatly appreciated it. This is one of the best Airbnb stays I have had over the years. Sharon was just unbelievably kind and considerate as a host. From start to finish this was a smooth stay. As we were there over Christmas we didn’t get to visit a lot of places, but we took walks along the beach which was lovely, especially when the sun was starting to set. The home was furnished very well and had all the amenities that you would need. Despite us going over our checkout time (again apologies for this) Sharon and the team were so understanding and allowed us to move out our things and kept that kind spirit. In a way it might’ve been a plus as we got to meet her in person and she is just as lovely. Would truly recommend this home. And will definitely be booking this over summer at one point and for a longer stay, to really take in the house!!

The flat was so comfortable, and the ornaments & artwork really made it feel like a home. Lynne had thoughtfully left essentials in the fridge, plus some treats, which was very kind. Being able to look out on the harbour and to sea was lovely. It's also scarily convenient for the Harbour Lights Cafe (scary if you're watching your weight!) All in all, a wonderful, relaxing stay. Highly recommend it.

Beautiful airy appartment, great location and close to all amenities. Was exactly as described and Judith was great with instructions before arrival and on the day. the welcome essential food pack was a great addition. We loved our time in Lossiemouth and I would have no hesitation in recomending Judith's appartment for a stay. We will be back.

An absolutely awesome family stay. Holiday van located a stone throw away from beach. Greta area for dog walks. Lots of beach fun for kids. 5-10 minute walk to shops, restaurants etc. Surf school just down the road too. Van was spotless. Extremely comfortable beds. Lived all the extras. Will def be back and we loved our stay. Thank you for having us 😊

We are delighted to have had the opportunity to stay. The property was meticulously maintained and contemporary in its design. The attention to detail and thoroughness evident in the home and logistical process are commendable. The colourful sunset as well as the mountains provided a stunning backdrop for our stay. On a clear day you can see the Dornoch Bridge and a wee bit of the mountain range north of Ben Wyvis.
