Vacation rentals in Newark

Katelyn’s place was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, even better than the photos, and exactly what my husband and I were looking for for a relaxing long weekend in the country. We loved the historic furnishings of the farmhouse - very special to step back in time a bit but with all the modern amenities you could hope for! We will definitely be back, and hopefully bring along some family next time. This would be a perfect spot to celebrate the holidays with family or friends and the winter decorations were a great touch. Highly recommended and one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed at!! Katelyn and Matt were fantastic hosts and we can’t wait to return.

We enjoyed our cabin in the woods! Although we didn't use them, it was a nice bonus to have the added amenities of the Sandy Cove resort. The cabin is not on the water, but it takes only a few minutes to drive or walk down to the water for beautiful sunsets.

Being a realtor and my husband an architectural designer our standards are high...this home exceeded our expectation. The floor plan was wonderful for a larger family like ours. Furnishings were well thought out for smaller children including the easy to use baby gates. Adequate space inside and out for plenty of fun for both adults and little ones. Of note, we had 6 children 7 y/o and below. View was spectacular. While you do sometimes see the train and always hear the train it did not take away from our ability to enjoy this airbnb and honestly for the most part it was a delight to the kids. Our family all being in the profession of real estate appreciated the overall construction of this home, definitely built with quality items and appears no expense was spared to allow for a very enjoyable vacation home.

Cozy stay - passed through for work and was able to recharge by staying here. Carrie was responsive and the place was super comfy. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in Newark.

Our family had an amazing time at this spacious house! The ample bedrooms and common areas provided plenty of room for everyone to relax and spread out. There was ample play space for the kids, and the location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive, making our stay truly exceptional. We would definitely stay here again for our next family visit to Downingtown!

The Camargo Inn was the perfect venue for a winter retreat for our group of 8 women and one infant. The house felt cozy and charming, with all the unique quirks of an old farmhouse paired with tasteful decor and updated features. All of the rooms were bigger than they appeared in the photos. We loved that the living room had ample, comfortable seating for the whole group. The dining room table easily accommodated our large group at meal times. I liked that the eat-in kitchen was large enough that several people could hang out in the kitchen while meals were being prepared, without feeling like anyone was in the way. Beds were all comfortable. The only downside was uneven ventilation in the upstairs bedrooms, which I realize comes with the territory in an old house. One bedroom in particular seemed to trap too much heat during the night... we didn't realize until the next day there was a fan in the closet of an adjacent room. All in all, we loved it and would absolutely stay again!

The farmhouse is perfect for large families or groups to meet and spend time together. There are 8 bedrooms, several with king beds for couples, and multiple spaces for families to spread out to enjoy different activities. The kitchen is also very accommodating for a large crowd. The outside area is beautiful, with lots of outdoor space to walk, run, and for the kids to play. This was our third time there (should have been our fourth but we had to cancel during covid).

Really wonderful house in a beautiful place! I booked this for a quiet weekend retreat with friends and it was perfect - the house is situated in a very peaceful location with an incredible view of the pond and Fall foliage. There were so many comfortable and well designed seating/gathering areas for us to share meals and socialize. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals together and plenty of space to cook. The house is very clean and spacious, the hosts were very communicative when we had questions and also helped with a last minute update to our reservation the week of. I highly recommend booking here, our group is looking forward to hopefully coming back in the Summer to enjoy the pond and the pool!
