Vacation rentals with a kayak in New Providence

The cottage is located just behind the US Embassy on a private street with around the clock security, so I felt very safe. The cottage itself was very comfortable and relaxing. It's only about a 8 minute walk to the beach and all the restaurants on the beach. The Fish Fry area is a little over a mile away, but you can take the bus for 1.50. The two restaurants we tried there, Goldie's and Oh' Andros weren't very good. I was very disappointed with my overall experience with the restaurants in the area. My savior was the McDonald's just down the street from the cottage. This was my first time in the Bahamas and more than likely my last. The beach was beautiful, but I'm from South Florida...

This house is on a great beach that is basically your very own! No one else on the beach and it’s a great swim-able area. We loved the beach and the water and the beautiful pool! The house is big and had plenty of room for our family of 9. Towels and bedding definitely need an upgrade but other than that, the house was great and we loved our time there.

Kathleen and her host were incredible. This place is a must!

Issac and everyone was very response when we communicated with questions. The only issue we had was that the WiFi was not always the greatest. Lost connection quite a bit Location was just lovely. Walkable to great restaurants and stores.

I can’t say enough good things about Lana & Chris’s place. The views are truly breathtaking- all day long and especially at sunset. The house is a home, its feels personal and has everything you need to enjoy your stay (water, pots, pans, spices, grill, etc). Lana & Chris are amazing hosts- they gave us incredible recommendations to enjoy the island like locals. We recommend checking out the Poop Deck at Sandy Port. Get the catch of the day! And don’t miss an opportunity to paddle over to the beach at sunrise. We saw reef sharks and sting rays right from the dock! Thank you so much for letting us into your home!

We stayed for 10 nights, visiting from the UK. It was our first time in the Bahamas. The condo block was beautiful with lovely entrance, pathways, gardens, and pool area overlooking the turquoise sea. The apartment was lovely inside, just like the pictures. Everything you could need for your trip. Tanika and Frank were great hosts. The condo location is great as you have the Baha Mar complex just 5 mins walk, and the opposite direction. Restaurants like the social sushi and grill, sprintz, Solemar, twisted lime, and nice coffee and drinks at Bon vivante. We walked or jumped on local buses for 1.5 dollars pp flat fee anywhere. So easy to use.

Lavelle’s Cottage was amazing! Such a neat & unique spot which truly offered an authentic island vibe/experience. The yard was vibrant with beautiful plants and palm trees. The outside deck was lovely for enjoying the pretty views and watching the sunrise each morning. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. The interior layout as well furniture were both tastefully designed and very comfortable! Would certainly recommend Lavelle’s cottage to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Nassau 🇧🇸

The place was nice. It was clean and tidy. It was a little hard to fine, but the host helped us and guided us in. The problem was with the air bnb auto directions, not actually hard to find once you get there. The layout has a lot of steps and the one shower you have to walk down into which was cool, but could be a problem if you have ambulatory challenges. There is Air in both rooms but the common area doesn't so watching TV or using the pull out couch it will be warm. You will probably need to get a rental car as there is nothing walkable. However, that is part of the charm. The outside porch is spacious and you have a view of a small marina and you can see the ocean in the distance. The beach is very rocky and not great for swimming, but nice to wander around on. We had a pleasant stay.

It was a great place, location & stay including Brianne & Karen responsiveness with the few questions we had- ie TV operation, check in details etc- the suite was obviously very recently renovated and the small space was cleverly utilized particularly the fold up bed, eating area & bathroom (we have stayed at another unit in the complex which was quite cramped, not so here) well done, thanks for everything and we’ll definitely be back!
