Waterfront vacation rentals in New Hanover County

My husband and I stayed there for a week and had an amazing time. The apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location was fantastic—just steps from the beach and local restaurants, with grocery stores only a short drive away. The internet was a bit weak in the living room, but we were still able to work. As others have mentioned, the balcony area is kind of shared. There are two sets of stairs—one in the back and one in the front, which pass through the balconies—so whether you see others going up and down depends on how considerate they are .

Absolutely perfect walkable location, with amazing river view. Sister trip to Wilmington, and this condo was quiet (top floor), included convenient parking across the street and was immaculate. just the right amount of decor and amenities.

Always enjoy Southport! The place has everything you need for a great vacation. And the best way to enjoy Southport is by bike. I love this rental because it has the best cruisers. When we arrived 1 tire was flat and Rhonda’s husband came out to fix it for us! They are great hosts!

I’ve stayed here multiple times and love the location on the quieter south end of the island. Absolutely no complaints, the house had everything I needed, the bed was comfy, the view was stunning, the place was spotless.

Wendy’s place was absolutely amazing. Me, my husband and 1 month old wanted to take a first little family trip before he goes back to work! It was a PERFECT place for that. The ocean view was just wonderful. The location is also great. Not far at all from the boardwalk. We hope to come back during the summer!!! Wendy was also a great host. Always responsive & accommodating!

Lynne’s place was perfect for a kid-free getaway with my husband and our first time visiting Wilmington. The view was amazing, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go and the place itself was exactly as pictured. Clean, bright, and well appointed. Would definitely recommend!

We travel to Wilmington a few times a year to see my daughter in college. This was by far the nicest airbnb we have stayed in. Yes it can be loud at night but you are right in the middle of everything. Shopping, restaurants, bars, river walk. We had a teenager with us so we were able to walk right downstairs to go to a few bars but not be too far away from her. The balcony back deck is great too. She felt like she was at the club on Friday and Saturday nights. The sound machine in the bedroom was great to override the noise when it was time for bed. Kathleen was so friendly and helpful and communicated throughout our stay. She was even there when we arrived to make sure we knew where to park. The unit came with two parking spots which was great when my older daughter came into downtown to visit. We would love to stay at this spot again!

A good central location to Wrightsville beach and Wilmington. Would def stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Justin’s home! It was a great location for us and the house is really beautiful. Lots of natural light, plenty of porches, and an all around great space. We will definitely stay again!

Stayed in this AirBNB for my wedding weekend last week and can’t say enough wonderful things about it! The views were just absolutely breathtaking and being able to see the sunrise from the comfort of our room each morning was so priceless. Our wedding day photographer kept raving about how much of a dream the BNB was to shoot for behind the scenes footage throughout the wedding morning - truly the views are unmatched! The BNB had everything we needed including shower products, plenty of towels, extra blankets, and kitchen supplies. Pam was so easy to communicate with and made our stay so seamless. You really just can’t beat the location or the views, so don’t hesitate when booking!

My recent stay at the Regency that exceeded our expectations! The property was exactly as described, with cozy decor and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect—close to local attractions yet tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, which allowed for a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. However, there was one drawback that I feel is worth mentioning: the cleaning fees. While I understand that cleaning fees are standard, I was surprised to find that, despite paying a significant amount for cleaning, guests were still asked to load the dishwasher and start a load of laundry before checking out. This felt a bit contradictory, and it made me question the value of the cleaning fee itself. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a charming and convenient place to stay. I can’t wait to come back!

Lovely place and beautiful view from the back decks. There was some construction going on at the lot next to it which could get noisy at times when out back. Other than that, it was a peaceful stay and very comfortable and cheery accommodations.

Perfect last minute get away. Lindsey’s place is just far enough away from the activity of Carolina beach “boardwalk” area that you feel more peaceful, but close enough that accessing restaurants/ coffee shops was a breeze. You go from the front door of the cottage to being on the ocean sand—which is priceless in my mind—making it easy to spend all day on the beach with quick trips back to the house for anything you need. They were incredibly responsive in setting up our last minute get away and check-in was a breeze—and being able to bring our sweet doggo along was very helpful.

This space could not have been cozier or cooler! We loved all of the vintage accents and personal touches that Bryan and Mari preserved in this property and you can tell that this space has been a happy place for so many that have stayed over the years. The location could not have been better for a quiet beach stay and provided a lot of comfort for us during our visit. Their responsiveness was unmatched as well.

My husband and I spent six days at Renee’s home along with our son and two fur babies. The house is beautiful, very clean, and spacious inside. The pictures are very accurate. I loved the views from the two porches in the two king bedrooms. The pond and garden views are awesome along with the beautiful sunsets. Loved the pretty flowers around the patio area. Everything I needed in the house was available, easy to locate, and well stocked. Renee is a very responsive and helpful Host. She was quick to resolve a couple of issues that came up during our stay. Our stay at Renee’s house was so restful and relaxing. We hope to stay again the next time we visit the area. Thanks Renee for sharing your beautiful home.

Tara's place is great! Perfect location, easy to navigate and parking included near by. Tara was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Wonderful place to home base as you explore the area

We really enjoyed our time at the condo. the condo was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. I loved that it had 2 bathrooms. My favorite part of the condo was the large outdoor patio with comfortable seating. The weather was so wonderful that when we were not on the beach we were on the patio. We ate at some great local restaurants, but the kitchen seemed fully equipped for cooking with herbs and cooking oil, etc. supplied. Also a great little coffee shop was just a block or 2 away. The public beach access was just a block away as well. Parking was convenient just below the condo. Tony was a very responsive host and even let us know the condo was available for early check-in the day we arrived. Thanks Tony!

Location, location, location. Honestly, it might be the best view in Carolina Beach and I have been coming here for ages. Quiet end of the boardwalk with beautifully landscaped grounds just beneath you. Condo was as described. Nothing to complain about at all. I honestly dislike leaving reviews like this because I know I will drive up the demand but it was earned. Bravo!

PROs -Chad was super communicative from the start. -Easy beach access and close to many great spots -Place is as described and well stocked for what you could need. CONs -The place is a bit hard to find in the dark as all the surrounding buildings/units look alike. -The unit itself is on the bottom floor. It can be quite loud due to people on the floor above. SUMMARY We loved it and enjoyed our time here. 100% would recommend!!

We loved Mark’s apartment with both views for sunrise and sunset. We had everything we needed from the beginning and Mark was easy to reach throughout the stay. This spot will stay in our top choices to rent. Thank You for providing a great place to vacation.

Seeing the sunrise and sunset with the battleship is really nice. The place is so cozy and the basic necessities are complete. Aaron was friendly and very responsive, will definitely stay here again.

This condo was perfect! The hosts really thought of all the little things. Very comfortable. It’s easily the best part of Wrightsville. Our family of 4 had a great time. This spot offers everything you’d want in a beach vacation, without the hustle and bustle of the main drag of the island. Location, location, location. Both the ocean side, and the marsh side across the street, are beautiful and without crowds. Best sunsets. You can walk for hours up the North End of the beach near a bird sanctuary — we really enjoyed this. Prior to booking, we did see reviews about the beach water smelling like sulfer this time of year. The hosts were responsive and mentioned their new water system — which seemed to work because the water was great for our stay. We had no issues. Glad we found this place. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Corey’s place has a very nice view and is conveniently located in downtown Wilmington. Parking garage is next door. I would love to come back in summer to enjoy the sunset over the battleship “North Carolina” right from the balcony.
