Kazu is a fantastic host & his place is a wonderful asset for budget travelers. A short 10 min walk from the Yagiyama Zoological Park station puts all the best of Sendai right at your fingertips. Kazu’s place is well equipped and excellently organized with all the amenities and offerings you need to feel right at home, and has a beautiful city view too. There’s a bakery, post office, grocery & convenience store nearby as well. I shared Kazu’s place with 3 other travelers while there and they were all kind, polite & respectful. I also had the good fortune to go out to dinner with Kazu at a fantastic family restaurant he recommended and we had such a wonderful time. Kazu is really an exceptionally great guy and over the course of dinner he explained the sagacious guidelines he uses to carefully choose his guests. Rest assured your in good hands and will enjoy your stay here :)

We arrived by car and were therefore flexible. Parking is available directly at the accommodation. The host is very friendly. The place was clean and the private onsen was great. We were able to relax well, the area is very quiet. We are happy to recommend the place! 👍🏼

They allowed me to spend comfortably. The pets were also delighted.There was also an inventory of linens and towels, etc., and the basics were provided.It was nice to have a thick mattress.It is flooring, so be careful because it slips when the dog runs.The area around Sendai Station is not that far away. Access is also good.

Wonderful place to stay that was very close to ski resorts. It’s a private gated village with beautiful surroundings and a sense of security. The house also came with onsen which was a blessing for us after a long day of snowboarding. The only thing I can cherry pick on is that the bed was a little bit too soft for my tasting, but I guess that’s down to personal preference. Overall, it was really enjoyable stay for the five of us.

Fantastic place! Location was pretty special; out in the wilds, next to a river, close to waterfalls and local town. A great welcome from Steve who was really helpful in making recommendations and very knowledgeable on the area. The accommodation is a quirky blend of historical Japanese and 70’s nostalgia. It’s not a slick, luxury location but it’s a wonderful experience and well worth the trek out of the big cities.

The host is an architect and the people are so lovely and you are very responsive when we need help, the whole house is very characterful and I want to go again if I get the chance!
