Trails lead from the cottage, including the trail to Góra Żar (40min) where there are numerous tourist attractions: a year-round toboggan run, a cable car, a ski slope with artificial snow, a downhill bike path, and a glider landing. Near the cottage there is a river with cascades where walkability is very popular in winter.

It is located in a quiet, safe area, near Silesia City Center, close to the center of Katowice, the Silesian Park and the Cultural Center. There are free public parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the unit. There is also a guarded parking lot in the immediate area.
