Tent vacation rentals in Murray River

I had an amazing stay with my partner! It was such a peaceful and well kept place to stay. There was amazing scenery and plenty of room. I also really liked having a private/seperate bathroom for each tent. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!

Wow, what an incredible place! Breathtaking beauty in every direction. Everything, even to the smallest detail was beautiful and well placed. From the divine loose leaf tea & chai in the glamping tent, the super comfortable blankets and pillows, the high quality native Australian product in the private bathroom to the well thought out communal kitchen & BBQ space - just perfect in every way! Such a joy to spend time in a place like this, immersed in nature and the gorgeous garden of St. Erth. I chose the Ranger tent because it faces west & it was so peaceful in the early evening, watching the sun go down. I will definitely come back for another stay and would like to experience a tent at the pond next time. All the tents look to have amazing views and different aspects that add charm to the experience. Unfortunately there was a guest during my stay who believed it was ok to flick burning cigarette butts around the place, disappointing people can be so stupid. Otherwise, perfection!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, was surprised by the amount of amenities (still being camping and all). Plenty of power, clean linen, supplied kettle and bar fridge in tent, and the HEATING!! Space heater in tent AND bathroom, and electric blankets - yes please! Don’t be afraid to stay in Winter, you will be taken care of.

The place was great! We got the place on quiet period so basically had the whole place to ourselves. The place is beautiful :)

Our host Jacob was lovely! Accomodation were cosy and well thought out. We were also taken around the properly a little bit and get to meet some of his family. Felt very wholesome and best little getaway! Beautiful site and glamping experience definitely would come back!

We stayed at Peter's Glamping retreat for three days with our two kids (5 & 7) and it was a great success. It was very peaceful and quiet and although there weren't a lot to do out in the neighbourhood our kids kept themselves entertained from just being out in the wood and by the river. Great place for a small family like us and would definitely recommend it to you all!

Wonderful weekend away! Right from the get go with Josh meeting us at the gates with his daughter, we felt so welcomed to the site. Josh very kindly provided us with some great recommendations of local spots which we then attended and were so grateful. He was a great host and proactively ensured we had everything we needed. The site itself is so lovely and well thought out. The bathrooms were spotless which is such a luxury on a glamping site. The tents themselves had comfortable beds, clean linen with towels and a robe - we loved it! Thanks so much Josh!

This is my first outdoor camping experience and I’m glad to choose this place. Please be ready there is no toilets and any other facilities as Sam mentioned. Don’t miss the evening sunset 🌆❤️

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our first glamping experience at Steve's place. The tent was spacious and clean, with the electric blanket coming in very handy when temps got near freezing. Fire pits worked great even with some wind and drizzle on the first night. The camp kitchen was fairly well stocked and a handy place to eat in comfort when it rained. Toilets and showers were a good standard. We enjoyed the little bushwalk and the personal archery lesson was a real treat with our very helpful host. Location was quite picturesque and handy for going wine tasting in the Coonawarra and visiting the caves in Naracoorte. The only slight issue was the frost fans being quite loud on the cold night, but this was expected and only for brief periods, which we got used to after a while. All in all we would highly recommend the experience.

Was a fun experience for someone like me who wanted to go camping but doesn't have all the equipment to do so. The facilities on site were functional and clean. Great location for seeing the surrounding sites like Naracoorte Cave and the Blue Lake at Mt Gambier. Looking forward to trying the igloo style tents next time for star gazing.
