Spectacular 3 nights, incredible views down to the sea, with rolling thunder visible down in the valley every night. Beautiful house in a stunning location.

Glauco was responsive and helpful at every turn and everything was as described. Close to many of the attractions of the cloud forest including night hikes, waterfalls, shopping, and restaurants.

Great location away from the downtown area, yet close enough to get there in 10 min. The view is outstanding. Would definitely return.

Our stay at the TreeTop House was wonderful! The rental is just as charming and unique as the listing described. It is located right between Santa Elena and Monteverde- our group was able to walk to several locations nearby thanks to sidewalks along the main road! The area is absolutely stunning, with amazing views from most areas of the home. It was spacious enough for our large group to stay comfortable. One small thing to note is that you may need to provide very detailed instructions to taxi/shuttle drivers as the location on google maps makes it appear like you are one street over- not a big deal but did require us to take the few extra steps to the main road to catch our ride a few times. Overall, it is a gem of a home! Sabine was very helpful and was quick to respond when we needed her assistance!

The view from this house has to be top 500 in the world for Airbnb. The value for this view was remarkable. My husband and I visited with another couple with a toddler and enjoyed our stay. Again view is magical and unlike anything else with an open floor plan and giant upstairs. Sybil is very responsive. We enjoyed reading about the home and her recommendations for the area in the provided binder. You will need a reliable and dependable car for this location as there is many gravel roads. Heads up toilet paper cannot be flushed in the toilet as house is on a septic system. House has filtered water and a stocked kitchen. Tours, town, store, and forests are in drivable distance. house has a gate that will need to be manually pulled everytime you leave. we would stay here again. bring some night eye masks for extra shut eye and maybe a portable fan in case you sleep hot. seems like a very safe location as well with a group. plenty of room in the home. house was built in 2020.

Loved staying at Veronika’s place while in Monteverde. Her place was located near restaurants and cafes, making getting around very convenient. Would highly recommend Veronika’s place if you’re planning a visit to Monteverde!

Communication with Leonardo prior to and during our stay was excellent. The Owl-Villa was as described and seen on photos. The beautiful Garden was a highlight to wake up to every night. Next to the big “ducks” that waddle through the garden we got to see the pet-parrot, lots of birds, an iguanas and a sloth in the gardens. We enjoyed being a little outside of La Fortuna and still being able to see and participate in all the amenities of the busy town. FYI our highlight was the Coffee and Chocolate tour with Don Juan.

Our group of extended family had a great stay at the Zen village. The kids were so entertained by the pool, plenty of space to explore. We milked the cow one morning. It feels like a rainforest treehouse and an experience like no other. Juan was so helpful and even helped us change a flat tire on a Sunday! Mario ordered our pizza from Pizza Ranch to be delivered upon arrival for our first night when we were too tired to cook or drive into town. We cooked two family dinners on the big pavilion which felt super special and private. Can’t say enough good about it. This Airbnb is an experience in itself, and a little oasis for coming to and from adventures. The only negative - thin blankets and pillows.

This Airbnb greatly exceeded my expectations. John was very responsive and would check in on us to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. He was also so kind and thoughtful to add special touches to the Airbnb to help me celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. He made our stay extra special!! Thank you so much John!

My husband, 12-year-old son and I stayed for three nights at Sunset House and we really enjoyed ourselves. It's an affordable option for families with a great pool, hammock and outdoor space to relax after busy days visiting local attractions (even if there was some construction happening next door). We didn't think we were in the right place at first but our host was very responsive. Look for a big yellow pergola-style entrance off the main road. The gated entrance to the side street is a bit recessed and there's a guard. As for location, it's a bit off the beaten path but still close enough to attractions (15 min to Fortuna Waterfall, 20 min to hot springs, 30-35 min to Arenal and Mistico). You need a car to stay here. We appreciated the nice touches - cold water in the fridge, plenty of towels, tea/coffee. We grabbed a few easy meals from a fried chicken stand down the road and yummy empanadas from Restaurante Delicias Tablada just steps away. Overall, as advertised!

The place is quite nice, everything as seen in the photos, has quite a few games to have fun and the perfect communication. I recommend it and would come back again.

Great location and beautiful views of Mt Arenal

Great location, clean

Beautiful location in the cloud forest, just a 15-20min drive from the reserve. Fully equipped kitchen and nice sleeping areas. Advertises washer and dryer, but there’s no dryer just a spin cycle. Detailed directions on where to go and how to check in were a bit delayed, but once we heard back from them it was clear and we were greeted shortly after arrival and given a low down on any nuances of the place. The covered seating area out front is beautiful and private with lots of bird activity if that’s what you’re into. Would stay at again!

Very good accommodation, well-equipped, close to Monteverde Park. Nice little bakery below the accommodation. Ramiro is very responsive if there is a problem, perfect!

We enjoyed staying at Thais’s place. This is the second time we stayed at one of their houses. We saw several birds, brocket deer, White-nosed coati, agouti, White-faced Capuchin, and small boa just in the couple of days that we stayed there. There are plenty of trails to walk, and there is a jeep road right behind the house that is a shortcut to walking to Monteverde. It took us about 15-20 minutes to get to the cheese factory and Stella's. If you are looking for a place tucked into the woods and away from the noisy parts of Stana Elana, this is an ideal location. Cell phone coverage is limited, but there is great WiFi.

Edith is a lovely host and an excellent communicator. The cabin felt secluded and private, and very secure. It was a short walk to lots of amenities. We had no problem finding activities and food, including the supermarket. The cabin is surrounded by native plants and animals, which you can hear (and sometimes see) at all times of day and night. We slept comfortably and used the outdoor seating during daylight. The shower was nice and hot. The linens were soft, warm, and cozy. The cabin feels authentic and rustic. Bug nets were provided though not really needed as we did not use the lights inside the bedroom. I only encountered a single mosquito while there during the dry season. There are two adorable dogs and a little cat who came to say hello a couple of times, which added to the charm. Overall we enjoyed our stay and Edith’s hospitality very much.
