We had an exceptional stay! The hosts are a rare kindness, very caring and attentive: we feel that they put all their heart into welcoming their guests. The amenities are simply amazing: swimming pool, jacuzzi, tennis court, weight room… everything is perfectly maintained and thought out for comfort. This is undoubtedly one of the best Airbnb we've made. Thanks again, we'll be happy to come back!

If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and secluded getaway surrounded by nature, this place is absolutely perfect. I loved my weekend escape – even though it was freezing outside, the house was super cozy and warm inside. The only thing to keep in mind is being careful not to overload the generator, but honestly, that was a small detail in an otherwise amazing stay. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to disconnect and relax

Our stay at Luís's place was unbeatable. The place is very clean and tastefully decorated. It is not missing any detail and it is all as and how it is shown in the pictures. We enjoyed a lot of the pool and the good weather. Luís is a 10 host, very attentive, willing and friendly. We will definitely come back and do not hesitate to recommend it! This is a perfect place to go spend time with your loved ones. Away from cities and overall people. The house is cozy and has everything that you need and even more to make the stay memorable! Me and Henry loved being there and would have like to stay even more! Maria Celeste was very helpful to find us lost tourists from the mountains in darkness. And showed us the way to the cabin. Be aware that the road might not be for everyone to drive. But you can always leave the car up the hill and walk to the house. Ww would love to go back soon to the beautiful and adventurous place!

We were only able to stay one night in Fernando/Cecilia's home; however, it was wonderful (even in the rain). The historic building is beautiful and incredibly unique. The views over the countryside and vineyards are amazing. Cecilia met us on our arrival and explained everything to us (while also providing information about the area). They were very flexible with check in and check out. My wife and I only wish we would have had more time to spend at Fernando's house in order to explore the surrounding area. If you are considering a visit to the Douro Valley, you can't go wrong staying in this home.

Excellent stay for several in family with children. The area is beautiful and well maintained, the swimming pools are pleasant to cool down during heat waves. The hospitality is perfect; the price in season can be scary initially but the house, the estate and the kindness of the employees justify it. We'll be happy to go back! Thank you Ines (and Angela)

This place ought to be officially recognized as a national treasure! The house and grounds are full of historic charm and the scenery is spectacular. The farm fresh breakfast was truly impressive and the hospitality was top notch. We stayed for two nights but would have been very happy to have stayed for an entire week if our schedule had allowed for it. Many thanks to the owners for creating such a wonderful guest house and for the warm welcome and great sightseeing tips. It was the highlight of our trip from Canada.

We celebrated New Year’s Eve at Jose’s house. Our stay was wonderful! We asked Jose to have a tree and some decorations, and the house was decorated with the beautiful Christmas tree, candles and fresh green tree branches. There were a lot of kitchen supplies. Everything to cook and eat in a big company. Although it was cold in the kitchen, we used the fireplace. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning. We also enjoyed eating tasty oranges and mandarins. In addition, Jose and Sergio greeted us with the table full of snacks and 2 bottles of their own wine. Great time in the peaceful location! We would like to come back in summer.

The stay was excellent: The house, the impeccable pool, the surroundings, the vineyards, and the kindness and excellence of the hosts. The vacation days we spent here were ideal. The best on the route. We were next to Amarante, which pleasantly surprised us, and other cities to visit, 1 hour drive away. Thanks Osvaldo and Magdalena and family for being such good hosts!

Absolutely loved Beatriz's place! We stayed in 4 different Airbnb's in Portugal on this trip, and Beatriz's place was our favorite by far. The listing pictures don't even show it as nice as it actually is. Well equipped, in a beautiful town, and the region is stunning. Highly recommend it, and we would love to come back again!

The house is simply spectacular 😍 We were in a group (5 couples and 5 children) and the house was quite spacious and functional, a kitchen full of all that was needed and more. The outdoor spaces were fantastic for children and for adults. We all felt sorry we had to finish this year in the best way. A Carminho and D. Fernanda have always been very attentive and always available to help. One of the best ever experiences we hope to repeat. The area is simply wonderful with the possibility of fantastic walking tours.

Casas do Paço provide a perfect stay for those who want to take their patudos on vacation. Our dogs loved the space surrounding our "little house"! Each unit is completely enclosed making it 100% safe for them to walk loose in the garden of the house. In terms of comfort, comfort and cleanliness we found everything we were looking for. The swimming pool is great and even if it is shared, all guests can enjoy it. Although the property is secluded, Arco de Baúlhe is less than 5 minutes by car and Cabeceiras de Basto within a 10 minute drive. I'd like to thank André and D. Amelia all availability.
