Our stay at Natalie and Chris's Airbnb was nothing short of exceptional. The property itself was incredibly peaceful, offering a much-needed retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One of the highlights was the cozy fireplace—it added a warm and inviting ambiance that made the evenings truly magical. Natalie and Chris were outstanding hosts—attentive, friendly, and thoughtful, ensuring every detail was perfect. This was the perfect little getaway and so peaceful. It was cozy, spotless and private. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and the inside of the cabin was thought out carefully in detail and decorated so cozy! My favourite part was sitting outside in the screened in porch relaxing in the comfortable chairs provided while listening to the leaves falling around us and wind blowing through the trees so peacefully. The bed was extra comfortable too. Stacey & Roland were great hosts and I will definitely be back! They even left a birthday card for me which was so thoughtful! Thanks again for having us! ♥️

Beautiful, well equipped cabin. Perfect for 4 people. Closer to the road than expected, thought it was in the woods (as per the pictures) but would be curious to see how private the cabin is with the trees. Nonetheless, the cozy itself was 10/10.

It was the perfect spot for a last minute get away! Jessica was great to communicate with. The view was absolutely beautiful! Very relaxing, kid free, weekend! But would be a great place to take the kids!

An awesome place to getaway for the weekend. My partner and I and our pup Fundy felt right at home. Kitchen was well stocked, bed was comfortable, and Paige was very responsive to our messages. Would recommend this spot 100%.

The accommodations were spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee on the deck, exploring the scenic surroundings, or simply relaxing by the fire, every moment felt special. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s clear that a lot of care and attention to detail has gone into making this retreat such a wonderful place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Black Rapids Retreat to anyone looking for a perfect blend of nature and comfort. Can’t wait to visit again!

Wonderful stay, beautiful location, was close to the road but it wasn’t all that busy when we were there. We loved having the wood stove for our reading get away, kept us toasty warm and wood and instructions were provided! Thank you

We were looking for a place to host several family members coming into town for a wedding and stumbled on this absolute gem of a property. The cabin and associated out buildings are very charming and the natural beauty of the area is worth the price of admission, alone. Everyone enjoyed their stay and had a great time kayaking and fishing in the river. I’d definitely book again for any future visits. Jodi, the host, was always very responsive to my questions.

Fun rustic cottage with a wood stove. Loved spending time with friends by the fire. Host was well prepared, communicated clearly and quickly. Everything we saw in photos was accurate. Pleased with our choice and would go again for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy and peaceful gem- a beautiful little cabin next to the river ! Everything you need for a weekend away- shower, bbq, fire pit and a laundry and washing machine.

The cabin we stayed in was quiet and comfortable. The view from the front covered porch was stunning. Everything was exactly as described and the host went out of her way to give us accurate directions and places to stop. She was very good to communicate and make our stay very easy. I would reccomend both the cabin and the host to anyone. The location was quiet and remote, but with plenty of things to do nearby. A must see is the town of Alma, which is stunning and has plenty of restaurants to pick from. I reccomend the Octopuses Garden and the Holy Whale Brewery.

We had a great weekend warming up by the wood stove inside and the fire pit outside. We checked out a few of the nearby hiking trails with our dog and spent time relaxing, cooking, listening to old records and playing classic video games. It was beautiful, peaceful, and exactly what we were looking for. We decided to even stay an extra night. Leanne was a great host with excellent communication. We would go back again in a heartbeat! We came here to celebrate our 2 years of reletionship and it was a wonderful day we loved the vibe of this mini home it was something we will Never Forget

The house was exactly as described and had a beautiful view -- it's right on the ocean. The scenery/nature by the house was really great. We had rabbits waiting on us multiple times when we got back. If you have been to PEI and aren't trying to get to all of the big to do item, then this is a great place if you're just trying to enjoy the island and some beaches. We saw the sunset of our dreams about 15 mins away. This was our first time on PEI, though, and we didn't quite realize exactly how far it was from the airport (about 2 hours), although that's on us for not figuring it out beforehand. But in sum, if you are trying to see all the areas of PEI, then you might want to stay somewhere more central. We had no complaints about the house.

This location and rental was far nicer than we expected. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in. Perfect for two. The sunsets were stunning. Nice area to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The unit was well equipped. So nicely appointed.

Lovely cottage and very well equipped and kept. Cottage has a very nice peacefully view of the river. Dara & Harold are lovely people. We were there during winter. PEI weather can be a bit challenging but they were always checking in on us. Made us feel right at home!

Absolutely amazing host, was super accommodating and when our plans changed unexpectedly he was easy to get in touch with, very understanding and a pleasure to speak with. Would absolutely recommend this place.
