Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Millom

Lovely spacious period property which is in a great location. Close to train station and Lancaster center. Situated on a quiet street with parking and parking permit supplied by host. Contact with the host was faultless throughout our stay. I would definitely return if in the area again.

Spent 3 days at the cottage. Perfect for the 2 of us. Really clear instructions provided beforehand on how to find the cottage as it is tucked away. The cottage was lovely, peaceful, and full of character, and the beds really comfortable. It's location is superb and central. Six pub/restaurants within a 5 minute walk, and the start of the Cumbria Way walk is around the corner. The WiFi is strong, (as I needed it for work). Would definitely stay again.

A beautiful house in a stunning location, could not think of anywhere better to spend New Year. The location was amazing, next door is currently being refurbished but this wasn’t a problem as it was the holidays, there were no workers on site. I can only imagine once this work is completed the property will be even more amazing than it is already. The gardens are magical, but the advice to be careful and watch small children is useful as it is steep and not suitable for everyone. It rained none stop while we were there (can’t help the weather) so the large hallway was great for drying the dogs snd leaving our mountain of coats, hats and boots. There was a small issue with the hot water but Kate responded immediately and sorted it out straight away. To top it off there were four separate firework displays in Grasmere which we could see from the front window, lighting up the lake. A brilliant New Year. We have already checked if it’s available for next year but someone beat us to it!

We had a lovely stay. The house was comfortable, well equipped and a great location for getting out and about.

Really lovely house, bed was comfy, kitchen had everything you needed, the outside space was nice, even in Winter as there was a covered area as well. Ulverston was a great place to visit with some nice walks and lots of cute independent shops to look round and plenty of pubs and cafes to eat and drink in, only a short walk away from the house. We really enjoyed our stay

Beautiful cottage! Felt at home from the moment we walked in. Surrounding village is lovely and all the locals were welcoming. Really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back!

A lovely stay in Windermere. The house was in a perfect location to explore the Lakes. Margaret and Alexander were great hosts who were very helpful on arrival! My top tip would be to take photos of check in information as access to the website can be tricky until you can connect to the broadband in the house. The house was spacious and perfect for my family. Cosy to return to after being out all day. I look forward to returning to further explore such a beautiful area.

David was an extremely caring and considerate host he was very helpful, responded quickly. The house was perfect, clean, comfortable, tidy, had everything that we needed. Including treats for us and our dog! The area was peaceful and very quiet, all amenities were close by. We had our dog - lots of beautiful walks nearby. We will look forward to staying again.

We had a lovely stay in Jeanette’s property. The sun room was a cosy place to spend time with beautiful views over the valley and hills. It was very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is small but well equipped (with fresh milk in the fridge!) and the bedrooms and beds are very comfortable. The property is well located with great walks straight from the house and a short drive to Windermere and Ambleside. Access to the property was easy and we appreciated Jeanette’s clear instructions.

Our first visit to the Lake District and I’m so glad we chose to stay at Robins, it was easy to find, parking spot out the front, SO central, just a couple of minutes walk down to the strip of Ambleside which had a variety of cafes, bars and shops, but was tucked away enough that it was such a peaceful stay. The location also had plenty of local walks and fells to choose from, we were spoiled. We only stayed for 4 days but had plenty to do and really felt like we experienced what the Lake District had to offer. The accommodation was clean and cosy, the bed was arguably better than our own and the open fire was perfect for relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine. Thanks again!

We loved our stay here. The flat was very well equipped with everything we needed. There was beer, milk, chocolate and pop left for us in the fridge which was a nice touch. 10-15 minute walk to bars and restaurants so we could leave the car at home. Lovely wood burning stove was just like home from home. Thank you Gill and Glen.

A brilliant base to explore the Lake District. The apartment is a lovely spacious size, and in a perfect location, just seconds from bars and restaurants. Comfy bed and very warm shower. Only improvements would be to provide tea/coffee and some shower gel in the bathroom. Would return. Thank you.

This place is stunning! It is even better than the photos! Quirky,modern and beautifully decorated. The bed is super comfy and the double shower was a big hit! The location is in the very centre so all shops, bars and amenities are a stones throw away. I will 100% be returning in the summer. The host was friendly, responsive and informative. An absolute pleasure to deal with :)

Me and my partner had an amazing stay here. The location was brilliant, so many lovely restaurants and pubs within minutes of walking, lots of good walks from Ambleside aswell so we didn't have to drive to starting points for walks unless exploring another area. The place was very clean, had all the basics you need. Host was very helpful and good communication throughout our stay. The apartment is in the basement part of the building, don't get much natural light in the living area or bedroom but this wasn't a problem for us as we were out most of the day - this then felt very cosy in the evenings when we stayed in. Good smart TV and very comfy sofa, ideal after a long day walking! fire place is a nightmare touch too:) Would definitely go back if visiting the lake district again!

This is the second time I have stayed at the studio. It is a lovely little place, compact but with everything you need in a very beautiful and convenient spot. Carol and Margaret are very helpful and friendly it is always a pleasure to stay in their beautiful flat. Thank you for being so welcoming and accomodating.

Wonderful place to stay near Wastwater. Beautiful flat, nicely decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean. On the first floor with outdoor steps. Easy short walk down to the lake to swim or launch paddlboards. Can walk fells from the flat, perfect location. Really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Great little place to get away and relax with the other half and the pups. Short walk away from the boozers and restaurants as well. Definitely would go back

A wonderful half term long weekend with our teenagers. Super quiet location, but close enough to Lancaster to make a dash into the city easy. Smashing property with jus the right mixture of character and modernity. Will be back.

We really enjoyed staying at far Nook, ten minute walk to centre of Ambleside. Lovely accommodation, clean and spacious. Good quality, high standards. Upstairs double bed in front of house a bit too hard otherwise rest of beds comfortable. Good showers and bathrooms. Kitchen great social area, kitchen equipment good. Lovely garden area, although we didn’t use it because we explored the fells everyday. My parents loved sitting in the sun room at the front of the house while we were out walking. Great bedroom for them downstairs. My husband used the office space to work in a lot, which was great for him as this isn’t often found in accommodation. Wi-Fi good Really nice lounge area comfortable sofas and chairs and wood burner. Very homely. (Not over keen on furniture in TV room to big, uncomfortable and dowdy, didn’t use this room.) I’d certainly recommend this house. We had a wonderful holiday here and we would love to return and stay at Far Nook again. Thank you!

We had a great stay. The house was in a beautiful location, right on the estuary. Plenty of beach for walking. Beds were comfy and ample linen and towels were provided plus a great welcome hamper. The games room provided hours of entertainment and the hot tub was lovely for relaxing in after a busy day. The nearby rock park/quarry was a really interesting day out. We also enjoyed a meal out at the King William IV in Kirksanton. Jenny was a great host and was extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Honestly one of the, if not the, best Airbnbs we've stayed in. Lovely large house 20 mins walk from Ambleside. Peaceful and also beautiful scenery. Three large bedrooms with bathrooms (one on suite) and everything was in great conditions (one exception being the state of a couple of the frying pans in the kitchen - very minor niggle tho, rest of the kitchen is very well equipped). The hosts were very accommodating and responsive, including to a late request on the Sunday evening for a late checkout on the Monday due to some circumstances beyond our control. Loved the stay and would heartily recommend the place and the hosts.

Jerry was super responsive and responded within minutes whenever we needed something, which was really appreciated (even around midnight 😅). The house is beautiful, very well furnished. Hot tub was a favourite and the river is incredibly scenic.
