Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Milam

We ended up at Jodie's place at the last minute- my dear husband "didn't think anyone would be camping" over July 4th so he didn't pre-book anything, and we struck out at the first three campgrounds that we tried! Found Jodie's place on Airbnb and although it was a little more expensive than the state park or MWR would have been, we jumped at the chance rather than head back home. There are six tent sites in total, but we had the place to ourselves. I think if there had been other campers there it might have felt less private, but as it was, we (by chance) booked the site closest to the lake and absolutely loved it. We even made friends with some of the folks staying in their RVs on the property. We would return here again.

Ashley, thank you so much for sharing your place with us for a few days! My kids and I had such a terrific time! We were able to spend lots of time together, play games, fished (and caught) from the bank, we even swam right out front. The home included everything we needed plus the added bonus of good wifi!!! We will be back!

Josh was a great 5-star host. He reached out to check and make sure we had everything we needed. This was our second time to stay at the Heart of Huxley Bay. It did not disappoint at all. It is a great location on Toledo Bend Lake. the setting is very relaxing and accommodating. The house is very well furnished and comfortable. We highly recommended the Heart of Huxley Bay if you are considering a stay on Toledo Bend.

We had a great time in the area and our group really enjoyed this spacious home.

The pictures dont do this property justice its even better in person . It was perfect in all the ways if a disconnect from every day life and a slice of natures paradise is on the menu ; this is the place .

We had a wonderful stay at Darby's place. The house is nicely updated with so much room! We had three couples in the house plus other family members came to grill out with us. THE VIEW, oh my, right on the lake. The patio is a perfect place to hang out, grill and enjoy that view! The beds are very comfortable with nice linens. We had everything we needed. Darby was very responsive when we reached out. We will come back again! Thank you Darby for making our difficult situation easier to bear by providing exceptional accommodations!

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming cabin! It was the perfect retreat for a peaceful vacation. The cabin was impeccably clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. One of the highlights was the fantastic fire pit area, complete with swings—ideal for relaxing under the stars. Our host was exceptionally friendly and responsive, promptly addressing any questions we had. If you’re looking for a serene and enchanting escape, this cabin is the perfect place.
