Waterfront vacation rentals in Mikkeli

Our group of seven spent four nights at Miia's cottage on the shores of Linnansaari National Park. We had an excellent time! The main cottage is on the small side for seven, the three kids were going to sleep in a loft space but with the noise challenges of lofts we elected to have them sleep in the sauna cottage, which has a beautiful sleeping space. We took full advantage of the ping pong table, darts, hot tub and sauna(s). We also rowed over to nearby islands several times (tons of mushrooms growing over there!). There were no other people nearby, really, so it felt very private. The back deck is perfect for lounging and eating meals when the weather is good. Miia helped us find a local fishing guide and gave us other helpful recommendations. We popped south to Savonlinna one day to walk the town and have a meal. All in all, we highly recommend a stay at Miia's!

No complaints, the mökki was clean and we even got an avanto swim!

This cottage was absolutely stunning! Tucked away in a serene, remote location far from any busy roads, it’s the perfect escape to immerse yourself in nature. The surroundings were incredibly peaceful, with only the sounds of birds and rustling leaves. The cottage itself was beautifully designed and thoughtfully equipped, making it feel cozy yet spacious. I would definitely go back to this cottage.

That was one the best Airbnb experience among my around 30 bookings. The house was great, very comfortable and located in really quiet and peaceful place. This was my third time visiting Heikki’s place, and as always, everything was wonderful. The house was exceptionally clean and well equipped, making our stay very comfortable. We reserved the hot tub, and it was an incredible experience during the winter—truly a highlight of our visit. The grill room was also very convenient in the cold weather. Heikki was incredibly helpful and responsive, ensuring we felt truly welcomed. The only minor suggestion for improvement would be the mattresses and pillows, as they were not completely comfortable. Overall, it was another great stay, and I highly recommend Heikki’s place. Thank you again for your hospitality!

We loved our stay. There was so much to do around the house that we didn’t feel we had to go anywhere. Mikkeli is close to get convenient shopping. The house was equipped with everything we needed and everything was very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna, cold dips in the lake, the outdoor bbq area, the fireplaces. The conservatory area was a beautiful peaceful place to relax. The only challenge is only one toilet and one shower for a group of 8. Also more than one towel per person would be nice.

The apartment is very functional and comfortable. Hannu is a great host, very welcoming, very friendly and available to us in case of any problem. We had a pleasant stay.

The place is even better than the pictures. Beautiful nature and peace of mind make you relax. The kids found frogs and lizards in the yard and were excited. The water is warm and from the end of the dock is a good jumping. Be sure to bring small floats as the beach is deep. There are plenty of outdoor games and things to do in the yard. Inside is a fierce collection of movies to watch. The kids and adults were very comfortable. We already miss back!
