What to say about our experience in Amarante at Miguel and Fernanda's apartment.. It was one of our most memorable. Access to the apartment is via a steep slope but it's pretty easy if you're used to Europe's narrow streets. The views of the river and downtown are very nice. Between Miguel and Fernanda they can communicate in most any language of those staying there. The apartment is beautiful, clean and welcoming. It has everything you need and if it didn't Miguel would be right there to help. He even helped us with a solution after we had left something behind. Don't forget to visit Fernanda's candy store! We highly recommend a stay at this apartment.

Manuel is a terrific host and gave us very good tips, the place is in city center, all commodities nearby, there’s a parking lot 5 min away - thank you Manuel!

Overall we only have to say well, especially the host. Despite a misunderstanding with the accommodation, due to which it was necessary for the host to meet us, it was super helpful and determined to solve. When to the accommodation we have nothing negative to point out, fulfilling all the announced requirements and being super well located.

Maria's place is beautiful, all of granite and wood. The view is just sublime, the landscaped exterior is lovely too. We were remarkably well received by Sandra, an extremely kind and responsive young woman. We warmly recommend this property .

Great house. The view to the Douro river was outstanding. In the morning you can only hear the rooster crowing.

We had a wonderful stay at Quinta Vila Poucha. The location was amazing close to Regua but away from the hustle and bustle. You do really need a car to make the most of this location, we walked up the hillside to the Quinta de Barca vineyard (2km hilly walk) we also got the train from Caldas do Moledo a couple of times (35 minutes walk along a busy road). We were looking for a quite relaxed place where we could cook meals and enjoy time together and we got it! The Quinta is massive very comfortably would sleep 4 or 5 people. There was a large dining room that we didn't even use, most eating outside or in the kitchen. We helped ourselves to fresh limes and pomegranates, and bought and drank the lovely wines left for guests. We couldn't find a BBQ or Kettle, so bought them and left for future guests. Our only improvement would be some additional garden furniture, the terrace and balcony are real sun traps and I struggled to get comfortable. We'd love to stay again!

Thank you Carol for our stay in your beautiful home ! Carol was an amazing host with great suggestions to local restaurants and amenities, the house was super clean and had everything needed for our stay. My only slight negative is that the 5th bedroom wasn’t really suitable for an adult as it was a low ceiling height loft bedroom with small beds and without a door. Again thank you for our stay and we’d love to come back again in the future!

Gorgeous and huge house, amazing and beautiful location with pool and lot of distractions (snooker, arcade machine, table soccer). It even has a football field! The host is extremely responsive and very helpful.

Euripedes and his wife are kind and generous people. On arriving, Euripides was there to welcome us and gave us two bottles of wine as a welcome gift. He gave me so much time as I expressed an interest in learning Portuguese. Everyday, he would encourage me to talk in Portuguese. His wife also is very kind. Really kind and friendly.
