Vacation rentals in Matsushima Bay

a beautiful apartment. perfect for more people. Supermarket right next to it as well as the train station. Matsushima Bay can be reached on foot in 20 minutes or by train about 5 minutes. quiet beautiful area perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

Three generations of 12 people + 1 dog stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. The room was kept clean and pet friendly, but I didn't mind the smell at all (there was an air dog) We stayed in the winter, but the room was warm, and the heater in the living room ran out of kerosene on the first day, but even without it, it was enough to warm up with other heating devices. Above all, it was full of hospitality, and when I told them in advance that my elderly parents would be staying and bringing a dog, they provided a shower chair with a backrest, set a gauge (with a water heater), and I had no inconvenience. The managed person lived nearby, and I was relieved that they were able to respond quickly to questions and problems. From this base, it was a full three days, such as sightseeing at Shiogama Shrine and Matsushima, fireworks and BBQs in the courtyard (although it was cold💦), and mahjong indoors. If I get another chance, I want to take care of you.

It was clean and well equipped, which was great.

There was an office that I was managing during my stay, and there was no problem during my stay, but I was very grateful that there was a system that I was able to take care of if anything happened.The climate was good and beyond words.Thank you again for everything.

Outstanding place - one of the best I’ve stayed in via Airbnb. Excellent value to have a whole little Japanese house to yourself in a quiet area on the top of a hill. It’s the little things that all add up to make this special: clear translated instructions on all the electronics, all you need to cook in the fully equipped kitchen, Japanese his & hers robes you can wear with diagrams on how to tie the knots in the traditional fashion, free washing powder for the laundry machine, and more. Bed is a futon style mattress on the floor and extremely comfortable - I am a very finicky sleeper and often have problems but not here. The cherry on top is the free use of the e-bike - there’s not much to do in Onagawa (which is why I went there, wanted to go somewhere “real” and non touristy) and there’s only so much you can see on foot. With the bike I had two splendid rides through the countryside / hills and around the bay - it was really a special experience. Hosts are amazing & helpful!

What a little gem. Located away from the hustle and bustle of life in Japan. This is the sort of place you go to get away from it all. Stock up at the supermarket,light the fire and enjoy the snow. It is a rural area and you will need your own transport. But it's perfect if you are in that situation. A thoughtful space with everything you need and nothing you dont. Even the firewood was precut and the fire ready to light. Maybe a little expensive for the location but I he cost will be long forgotten after experiencing the peace and quiet staying here brings.
