Vacation rentals in Mars Hill

We were looking for a cool getaway in Asheville and we definitely found it. Mitch was a great host and even texted when there was a bear sighting near the Airbnb. The property was clean, comfortable and decorated very well. We really felt at hone during the stay and would definitely come back.

That view sure doesn't disappoint! The location was outstanding and the condo a perfect spot for a ski vacation at Hatley Pointe. I recommend visiting the resort or at least eat at Smoke & Timber. Sabrina was super responsive to all the messages to troubleshoot issues with appliances and what not. Love how they remodeled the condo. I actually kinda wished it was on the 2nd floor as the upstairs folks were pretty noisy coming in and out. Sounded as if they walked in wearing their ski boots, but was quiet other than that. So many deer in the neighborhood wearing their cute, fuzzy winter coats but easy to get in and out from the interstate. Will definitely return for family get-togethers in the area as the Appalachian trail is one of my bucket list items. What a great area.

Beautiful little house and extremely convenient to Asheville / I-26, worked perfectly as a home base while we were in town for an music festival in the city. The house itself is very new and neat as a pin, quite comfortable for our weekend stay and surrounded by rolling hills of old farmland. We were greeted each morning by deer in the front yard, and enjoyed stargazing under the sycamores every clear evening. One thing to note: although the property itself feels rural, it is very close to a truck stop and the highway, so it's not always peaceful outside; we didn't really mind but something to note for guests who prefer seclusion and solitude. Inside, however, is cozy and well-appointed, with comfy linens and lots of windows to take in the views. We loved the dormer window with views of the nearby mountains that looked like a painting! Would definitely stay here again, especially with the easy 20ish minute drive to Asheville.

We had an amazing time at loriel and Adam’s place. While the weather was windy/cold and we lost power for a few hours due to weather, the views were breathtaking. The house was only steps from a beautiful walking trail around the lake, and only minutes from shopping/restaurants in Waynesville. Even under these circumstances, loriel and Adam were very communicative. Highly recommend this place!

My stay at this beautiful home was absolutely wonderful. Though I never met April and Derek in person, they were incredibly attentive and responsive to any enquiries, making everything seamless. The house itself was stunning, well-equipped with great amenities, and set in a peaceful, scenic location—perfect for a relaxing getaway. I would highly recommend this little gem to anyone looking for a quiet retreat!

Nice affordable cabin in a peaceful and quiet environment. The owners were great at communicating. We used the fire pit and hot tub which was great for the kids. It was a quick drive to everything in Asheville. Very close to a grocery store too. If you like to cook big meals, then bring your own supplies. The kitchen is sparsely stocked with cookware and utensils.

We had a wonderful stay at the Little Stone Cottage in Hot Springs, NC, while bringing books to the community as the 21st Century Packhorse Librarians. The cottage was immaculately clean, charming inside and out, and in a perfect walkable location to downtown. The spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds made for a restful stay, and the hot tub was a fantastic way to unwind. The trout fishing in the river right out front was incredible—our son caught a dozen trout! We also loved dining at the Smoky Mountain Diner and exploring all the town has to offer. If you’re looking for a peaceful, cozy getaway with great amenities and easy access to everything, we highly recommend the Little Stone Cottage!

This place was perfect exactly as described. They gave perfect directions up the mountain. Though the road seems daunting at first once you find where you are going with the perfect instructions from the hosts it’s really not that hard if you have a car with clearance. Once you get to the top the views are unbeatable and it is so quiet and peaceful. This is a trip we are definitely doing again and for sure staying here! 10/10 stay

Really nice spot to stay near Asheville, private and well equipped! Great for long stays.
