Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Marion County

Jimmy and Stephanie were great hosts, communicated well, we’re hands off - because they had thought of everything- and kept a clean and tidy place! We rented ti entire home - the upstairs and down are sort of two separate places, but nice that the downstairs has its own private entrance too.

Marilyn’s place was great. Very clean & was well stocked with whatever you need. Location is central to Makers Mark & Log still Distilleries as well as some others in the area. There is a grocery store & Dollar General in Loretto which is a town close by. Bardstown is within 30min also. I would definitely recommend this rental & will use again if I’m back in the area.

Beautiful home and surroundings. We had everything there at the home that we needed. Peggy responded within minutes with any questions we might have had. It was very homey and relaxing. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I have no words for how perfect this place is. It is, hands down, the cleanest bnb we have ever stayed in! It was so well thought out, perfectly decorated..leaving it clutter free without losing any of the necessities. Mary thought of everything! From the counter full of snacks, fridge full of drinks, sweetest note next to THE cutest Makers Mark bottles- we felt incredibly welcomed & right at home! And the garage game room?! What a great surprise! My girls loved the ping pong table! If the house wasn’t perfect enough- the picturesque front yard was the perfect place for night time stargazing & watching the most beautiful early morning sunrises! We have stayed in many bnb’s over the years, but we all left agreeing that Mary’s place was one of our favorites! We will absolutely make this our go to place to stay when re-visiting Loretto!

This was a peaceful location. The kitchen was very pretty and the family room was comfortable and cozy. The bedroom was relaxing and the bathroom was very spacious and nice. We enjoyed walking around nearby historic Springfield.

As advertised! We were visiting a family member and it was a good place to do that. Much better than a motel room! Host was friendly and helpful. Nice large grassy and wooded area for walking. Back away from the street and quiet. Would definitely stay there again.

Jill’s Schoolhouse was very cozy and homey. Jill’s house was in a great location , and we loved the swing . The scenery was very enjoyable , and felt like home.. Jill’s house was very accommodating and clean. I highly recommend her Schoolhouse.. Jill is kind and very responsive…

I have loved staying here! The community is very quiet but the neighbors are all nice! Pretty close to plenty of stores and restaurants as well

Location, location, location. We were right in the heart of Bardstown with lots of shops and restaurants just a short walk away. Also within a very short drive of many tourist locations.

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. It was quiet, and a comfortable place to hang out and get work done after our college visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

In town for the night while “Bourbon Trailing” with friends. Cozy space with lots of historic charm. We had a great time!

We were in town to help get our son settled into College. Sharon and Jason were very helpful and responsive to our questions and requests. The Airbnb clean and welcoming and we felt right at home. I highly recommend this listing.

Great location in a nice square on Main Street! Very nice amenities and a luxurious walk in shower. Not much sound insulation from street noise, but this wasn’t a significant issue for us. Would definitely stay again!

Overall experience was exceptional. We felt comfortable and safe. The condo was clean and spacious, it felt just like home to us. We loved the pool table, infact my husband gave me lessons on how to play while we had down time❤️. New appliances, nice walk in shower, fluffy towels, clean sheets, washer and dryer, easy access... it's all true. We will book here again.

Absolutely fantastic stay! Tracey was an exceptional host, truly going above and beyond to make our trip memorable. From the moment we booked, her communication was prompt and helpful. The Airbnb itself was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we could possibly need. Tracey's attention to detail was evident in everything, from the thoughtfully provided snacks and coffee to the incredibly comfortable bedding. It felt like staying with a friend rather than just an Airbnb host. We can't recommend Tracey and her property highly enough – a true 5-star experience! We will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved this place! My fiancé and I enjoy having stay-cations downtown and have made a point to stay at a different spot each time. I think this one has become our favorite. I was looking forward to being literal steps away from a local coffee shop but did not expect that the entire apartment would smell like fresh ground coffee! While we’ve stayed at other apartments around downtown Elizabethtown, this has been the only one that features modern convenience while keeping a lot of the historic charm. We definitely plan to stay here again when the weather gets warm so we can walk to all the local shops and restaurants.

A group of us had a reservation at another location for the Kentucky vs Auburn ball game but the reservation got cancelled about two weeks prior to use being there. Panically looking around we frantically found Jerry’s location and we were so excited. The property is lovely and peaceful with Jerry being a great help. He was attentive, always helpful, and super friendly. He gave us great recommendations and information which helped our trip a lot. The property again was beautiful with lots of things to do! It was a great time overall.
