Perfection

We just spent 2 wonderful weeks at the Storm Bay cottage. Mark and Faye are great hosts. Mark gave us easy driving instructions, met us on arrival and took the time to show us around. He was also easy to reach when we had a question. Everything about the place was great - the location (close to Kenora for supplies but also private), the house, the boathouse (it's spectacular!), the view, the fishing and especially the sunsets. It's so peaceful and quiet and the fishing was great. We came with a couple of boats but we even caught fish from the dock. When on shore we lacked for absolutely nothing. The kitchen was the best equipped we've ever seen. We didn't use the hot tub or the sauna but I enjoyed having the piano. We were a small group of 4 but there is plenty of room for a very large group on shore and on 2 nearby islands, King and Sunset. We've been coming to LOTW for 40 years and THIS WAS OUR BEST STAY. We can't wait to come back to our favorite place on our favorite lake.

Stay was great, cabin much bigger than it looks from the road or in the photos. Lots of separate areas to gather if you have a large family or extra guests. Hot tub was great. We were there at the tail end of winter so mostly hunkered down by the fire or in the hot tub, would be an amazing summer stay!

We had a long term stay at Jordan's place. He was extremely communicative and addressed any concerns we had. The home contains many belongings of the homeowners so there was a lot of stuff in the house but enough room was made for us to comfortably keep our belongings. There is no bathroom on the main floor and a lot of stairs but we knew this going in from previous reviews. The front porch was a nice extension to the house and you can't beat the neighbourhood. Jordan even went above and beyond to return items we had forgotten at the house.

We absolutely love getting an opportunity to spend time @littleretreat it feels like a home away from home. It is such a peaceful place, and we love all the trails through the forest and sitting by the wood stove. It’s so wonderful finding properties that are pet friendly and our dogs love it. Michael is a great host and makes you feel like you are just popping into a family members place while they are away. Can’t wait to get back.

I had an amazing stay at the Cottage for my 40th birthday. The cottage is a perfect retreat, nestled in nature, offering peace and tranquility. It was incredibly well-equipped with everything I needed, from a cozy indoor fireplace to an outdoor shower that added a touch of adventure. The surrounding area is beautiful, and I enjoyed taking in the stunning sun and moon -rises and walks along the beach. The hosts were thoughtful and provided detailed instructions, making the stay seamless. The cottage was clean, comfortable, and the little details, like a hammock by the lake, really made my experience special. I felt completely relaxed and at home during my stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, and I hope to return again soon!

Nice spot right on the water, would be great any season but we had a blast staying there during our snowmobile trip. Could skidoo right onto the river to meet up with the main trails. House is very spacious with lots of games and DVDs but you won’t want to be inside too much with such a lovely property. Hosts were helpful and easy to deal with. Highly recommend!

Booked another long stay here and it was as amazing as the first. There is a whole lot of space in the unit and feels like home away from home. Rebecca is an amazing host who is super responsive, accommodating, and friendly.

We had the best time staying at Mike's cottage. It far exceeded our expectations. It had so much personality, I felt we got to know Mike just by staying there. The view and sunsets were amazing and the sauna was incredible. We also loved how private it was. Our dog was especially happy to get to roam freely. We would come back in a heartbeat. Such a beautiful spot.

Awesome location, big dock, and beach...a few steps from the cabin to the water (you can hear the waves from the bedroom window). I have rented a lot of cabins in the past...Art's cabin has the best water frontage I have ever seen! The fishing is incredible, we were there 9 days and fished a different spot every time. My son and I caught well over 120 fish over the 9 days, including several large Walleys that we cooked up! Lot's of small mouth bass, and of course endless northern pikes! My truck broke down, and wouldn't be fixed until a couple of days after we were to check out. I told Art about this issue and he made some arrangement's so we could stay a couple of extra days until my truck was fixed. He went out of his way to make things work...it could have been a disaster, but instead we got a couple more day's of fishing in! If you like being on the water and love fishing, this is the place for you! I will definitely be coming back! Thank you Art for your great hospitality!

Phil was a great host! Everything was as stated in the ad and the condo was very clean when we arrived. Phil was also very helpful and was ready for any questions I had. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower/bath combo was amazing! The tv had many channels and the Internet was very fast. Overall, if this condo is still avaliable if I want to visit winnipeg again, I would definitely stay in it.

I love this beautiful condo! it had separate bathrooms for me and my partner to use and its well equipped with literally everything we need! Very clean and located in a nice spot by the lake! we came right at the tail end of winter and the lake is frozen but still provides a beautiful site to see! I will be back!

David’s place is absolutely amazing. I stay in a lot of Air BnB’s and David’s is definitely one of the best. The place is in a peaceful, clean and safe neighborhood yet it is so close to any amenity you could possibly want. It is so clean and comfortable; from the comfy and modern living room furniture to the amazing king size bed in the master suite; we felt right at home. We had our fur baby with us and the location was great for long walks. He loved it. The kitchen was more than fully equipped and David has stocked it with anything you could possibly need. He had lots of towels and linens and even had laundry soap and dryer sheets so we could do some laundry. David has thought of everything! His place is amazing. I would never hesitate to book this place again! It truly is a great place and you will not regret staying here! Thanks so much David for being such an amazing host!
