Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Manawatū-Whanganui

What a great base to explore National Park. This is not a “professional” Airbnb but their vocational home and it feels Ike one. This is a very nice surprise vs 100s of faceless Airbnb locations which. Everything was clean, kitchen was stacked. We can confirm that outdoor hot tub is there and operational. We did not use it but the water was hot and views were nice. The only small issue: no shampoo, only body soap ( or we did not find it). Not a big deal as we had some but was surprising given how stocked the house is. Thank you Debbie for letting us stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and well-equipped property. The house was spotless, cozy, and perfectly located—close to town yet peaceful with stunning views. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the outdoor area was great for relaxing. One highlight was the spa pool—a great addition to the property. However, the water felt a bit over-chlorinated, which meant we couldn’t stay in for more than 10 minutes at a time. That’s just a small detail in an otherwise perfect stay, and I’m sure it’s something that can be easily adjusted. Overall, we highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ohakune. It’s a wonderful spot, and we would happily return in the future!

What a fantastic spot to stay. Instructions were so well laid out in the little gift box that greeted us. A lovely bottle of wine and some chocolates. The hosts were so accommodating on some requests we had. I cannot tell you how comfortable the master bedroom bed was. Heavenly. And we loved the outdoor fireplace, as well as the indoor one. Would love to come back here next time I’m in Ohakune.

Beautiful home very near Ohakune town center (with easy beautiful outdoor walks to and from the property). Views and space itself exceeded already high expectations set by the photos. Well equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches from the spa, kitchen and bathroom supplies, to the fireplace and TV streaming options.

We had a fantastic weekend stay at Walnut cottage. The area was peaceful but still suitably located close to town and activities. The decor was simple but sleek with a welcoming feel. Having young children, we were so pleased with the safety aspects of the cottage - fully enclosed, a neat treehouse and sandpit for kids, and hot tub fully secured. This meant we could truly relax. Loved cooking in the kitchen - open and plenty of space. This cottage would be perfect all year round and we will definitely be back. Lastly - we left behind our daughter’s favourite toy and the host was most responsive in helping it find its way home. Couldn’t have asked for friendlier people to deal with!

A lovely house with great indoor and outdoor areas. The house had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing weekend including a hot tub, pool table and darts. We took advantage of the local bike trails too. Fantastic!

Like Philippa stated when villa finishes renovation it definitely looks grand and posh. But still loved interiors tastefully decorated furniture and personal touches. All of us enjoyed something different than normal air b&b experience. Thanks

Sylvie’s house was an absolute dream!! Everything from the views, the decor, the location- it was all amazing. There were lots of little touches that made it feel like a really welcoming and comfortable home too (not a soulless holiday let), which made it even more special. Sylvie was incredibly warm, accommodating, and responsive- overall a really lovely host. Thank you for an amazing stay, we really hope to come back one day!

What a beautiful spot! Great view from deck, kitchen and hot tub of the volcano and loved having a few different spots to relax depending on time of day. Good distance to the volcano for hiking but also the amenities of the house were great, as well as neighbouring highland cows!

A perfect place for a cozy stay near the beach - loved it. The outdoor bath and BBQ are incredible, and only a minute’s walk to the shoreline!

The place is blessed with an awesome view. It lights up with fantastic colours in the morning and the moon rises right behind the mountains, with premium front seats from inside the hot tub. It is far from the city, but the host puts so much care and effort into providing the room with all that’s needed that you don’t really feel the need to be anywhere else. Our routine was great, petting baby cows in the morning, breakfast with a view, walk down to the river, then bubbles in the hot tub in the afternoon. All the plant ornaments inside and around the room were real. The good memories the place provided were real. But we still cannot believe we saw two shooting stars going across each other at night. Ths was one of the best places I have stayed. The cleanliness was next level and all the extras supplied with fresh home made bread and other goodies in the fridge.... Our privacy was absolutely respected even though their home was not far away. I would definitely come here again whenever I want some time out. Very well done to these hosts.!!!

Literally perfection!!!! Pictures don’t even do the space justice.

We only had one night in the cabin, but we loved it! It was very cozy for me and my partner. The house is kind of tricky to locate because it is essentially in the backyard of another house, but it’s not too bad. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay.

What a beautiful peaceful setting. The lack of wifi and internet connection added to the restfulness. The spa pool was such a treat in the evenings. The outdoor shower provided a warm shower and was a unique experience. An absolutely lovely getaway, very closely situated to Palmerston North. Would absolutely recommend of you want a bit of an off-grid experience!
