Family-friendly vacation rentals in Lower Sackville

We had the pleasure to stay for the month of August. Great location overlooking a lake, just a short walk to a small quiet beach on the ocean. An old railway track converted to biking/walking path close by. Close to groceries and restaurants. Great location for day trips to Peggy’s cove/Halifax boardwalk/many parks and beaches. The home had everything you need. Just bring your swim trunks and spirit of adventure. We highly recommend a stay at this lovely spot.

Michelle's place was exactly what we expected. It even looked larger in real life vs. photos advertised. we loved the enclosed gazebo the hot tub was located in, the large kitchen table with oodles of seating, open floorplan and the small touches that made it feel aesthetically pleasing and cozy. we will be back sometime in the summer!

We came for the Hunter Moon and fell in love with the sunsets and walking on the beach. Lots of places to explore in the area.

Everything that you could have possibly needed was available. Close to a small little town that had restaurants, grocery store etc. The views in and around the cottage were spectacular

We are so grateful to Katelyn & Lee for helping us pull off a magical experience for our family (17 total) who spent 6 days at this gorgeous property. The Anchorage House has plenty of space to gather & lots of nooks for small groups or privacy. There are amble bathrooms, which is essential for a big group. The hot tub was delightful-hosts even stopped by to freshen it mid-stay. They recommended a local caterer, the Savary Plate, who provided incredible meals, but the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking for a large group (which we did one night) and even has a commercial dishwasher! The location is perfect-we made day trips to Lunenburg, Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, and Digby for whale watching—not to mention local beaches minutes away. But we were just as enchanted sitting on the porch or down on the dock (evening kayaking). If characters were unlimited, I could go on and on about this wonderful property, but I also must mention the thoughtfulness of our hosts who felt like friends.

It's exactly what we expected based on pics and reviews. We traveled during winter so many ammenities were not available, but price was adjusted to reflect that. Gorgeous design, textures, and attention to detail. Felt a lot like home to us. The driveway is steep, but doable. The only notes I have.....a garment rack in the master bedroom would have been helpful as most closet doors are locked. Looking forward to coming back in the summer!

What a beautiful location. The suite had everything we needed and we fell asleep to the sound of the surf. Need to go back and stay longer!

Marvellous start of our 5+ weeks Nova Scotia - Newfoundland tour. Lovely apartment with outstanding view located directly at the beach.

Our family was coming for a wedding- it was a stunning place for us to gather and enjoy - reality- I wish would have been able to stay longer. I highly recommend this place- stunning space and great hosts. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you for everything.

Most of what I'm saying is echoing what other Guests have said - it's all still true for 2024: Morry is great to work with, cottage is clean and well-equipped,  the views here are wonderful, beds are comfy and the layout worked well for us with the two main floor bedrooms on opposite sides.  The kitchen is a good size and the two full bathrooms are like new. There's a great hike trailhead a stone's throw away and, if you haven't already, you will fall in love with Prospect, NS!!

This place was just what we needed for our stay in Halifax. We were within walking distance of local restaurants and a cycle shop where we could rent bikes. The inside was cosy, clean, and really made you feel welcome. Andrea was responsive and a lovely host! Would definitely recommend. :)

We enjoyed our stay at Paul’s place. It was perfect for my husband and I. The condo has everything you need and was nice and clean. The location is fantastic. You are within walking distance to restaurants, a grocery store, shopping and the waterfront. We were very familiar with the city so we knew the location was central. If you are visiting and exploring Halifax for the first time this would be an excellent spot for you!

We had a lovely stay at this perfectly located, charming, and very comfortable house. Candace is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed!

Barrie is a wonderful host and the location of this home is truly incredible. We had everything we needed, plus our own island! We hope to be back!

WFP &J.P were amazing. We were delighted with our stay and fell in love with Nova Scotia. The animals were an extra unexpected. Gustave will be very bored of Maple. Small review THAT IS NOT A REVIEW. The fridge isn't very big so don't do too big a grocery every time. We arrived with too many things and didn't get in. But again, it's no big deal. There's a grocery store nearby. Sounds good. Just don't have to plan too far in advance if you have a big family like mine. The pool is extraordinary!!!!! Close to lots of beautiful beaches . We had a great time with the family!!!

Very clean, spacious and convenient condo in central Halifax, close to downtown and Dalhousie. Easy check-in, and all the amenities needed to make our stay comfortable, and the host responds quickly if you have questions or need anything. Highly recommended.

This was an amazing stay! We really enjoyed our time at this location. The suite had a great modern cottage vibe. It’s cozy and comfortable. Although there was no range, they provided and hot plate and air fryer for convenience! That was great for us as we were there for a longer stay, we could prepare meals at home instead. The location was close to bus routes and sunny side mall. Also easy access to Dartmouth road or Bedford hiway! We thank Amit and his family for their wonderful hospitality!

This unit is spacious, clean, and well equipped. It is conveniently located along a bus route and next door to a restaurant that serves coffee, sandwiches, and hot food. The host is friendly and flexible. I would be happy to stay here again!

The place is very nice and spacious. Bed was comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped and modern. The apartment has one heat pump that unfortunatelly was not enough the days it was very cold. Otherwise the place is nice and well located with many bus options outside the door (not noisy at all), and supermarket and stores a block away.

I cannot emphasize how comfortable and welcoming both Sammi and their AirBandB were. The attention to detail and genuine concern and thoughtfulness for their guests is remarkable. I so appreciated their prompt and gracious communications and commitment to make everything about the stay comfortable and easy: from keeping on top of snow clearing, to accommodating my request to ensure baby gates were installed. Truly outstanding.

Had a wonderful stay! Our host was incredibly helpful and made everything easy. The units were clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It’s just a short drive to downtown, which was super convenient. I highly recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful stay for the 2nd time with Ryan. This time in the 3rd floor suite. Great walkable neighborhood close to coffee shops and groceries. Only a 6 min drive or 20 min walk to the "core" of the Halifax waterfront. Great host who was, luckily, able to accommodate our flight changes and extend our checkout. Extremely polite and friendly host. 10/10 would recommend. Look at staying in the first floor suite if you have mobility issues as there are stairs to access the other 2 floors. Not an issue with a full sized checked bag if you are able bodied.

Judy‘s house is on a quiet sidestreet just parallel to the coastal street and made her house feel protected, quiet and even more charming. She went out of her way to share recommendations on music and art activities in the area, on beaches and hikes and on making the stay in her cute house wonderful. The legendary Peggy Cove village is minutes down the road and simply gorgeous.

Great stay and great hosts! Quick with replies and information. The home is gorgeous and very well stocked with everything needed. Nature trail and stores close by with downtown Halifax and Peggy’s Cove just a short drive. We even had some deer drop by for a visit which was wonderful! Would definitely stay again when in NS 💕
