There is nowhere quite as magical as this: an historic, creaky cottage, owned by the same family for over 60 years, on the flanks of Cader Idris. It's a back-in-time experience, with wooden beams and antique furniture. Please read the details carefully before you book. It’s remote both in location and from modern life. You have space, fresh air, and tranquillity. It's comfortable but nothing fancy. There's no TV or wifi, a woodburner, and massive views behind the cottage of the Barmouth Estuary.

Suran-y-coed lodge is located in an isolated valley, with a private hot tub to enjoy great views of the open hills, dark night skies for stargazing, and stillness to listen to the bird song. The caravan is situated in a lovely secluded paddock next to our house with views of the Snowdonia mountains and easy access to fantastic beaches and forests. All of our five listings are now completely self-contained with private facilities including shower and toilet so there is no need to have any contact with other guests. We have just changed the composting loo for a flush toilet - all mod cons!!
