Vacation rentals in Lenoir County

The house was clean and the perfect size for our family. Christy communicated well and the location was quiet and peaceful. It is at the end of a gravel road, and you might want to get groceries if you don’t want to drive into town for meals. The kitchen was very clean. There are games (we enjoyed Apples to Apples) extra throw blankets, electric recliners, two TVs, a nice deck and small screened porch, fire pit, and privacy. The owner is nearby if you need anything. We had difficulty figuring out the remotes and getting heat set comfortably for both ends of house, but that was probably just us. Thanks for a great place to stay for a family funeral in the nearby town where the hotels all had terrible cleanliness reviews. The cost for any place of this great quality is high, but this was much better than paying more for one room at a substandard hotel. I highly recommend this home. We had 6 people and it was very comfortable.

I stayed for a night while in town for an event at ECU. The place was great for my needs. Nothing fancy but nice, clean, and quiet. A couple things surprised me. It wasn’t clear from the description that the apartment is what I assume is a part of the house where the owner lives. The apartment is the front half of the house and is completely isolated from the other half. Not a big deal for me. I felt like I had plenty of privacy and if the owner was there at the same time as me, I never noticed. It’s also a little farther from ECU than the impression I got from the listing. It may be in Ayden but it’s on the southern end of Ayden. It was about a 25 minute drive. Not a huge deal either but I did have to plan a little more travel time. I had to check in late at night which was pretty simple. The only issue was that I struggled to find the driveway in the dark. I would definitely stay again!

Awesome place! felt really comfortable and very close to restaurants

This place is the definition of peaceful. It's hard to describe how relaxing it is. The cabin was super cozy and had everything we needed. I loved having coffee by the river in the quiet mornings hearing nothing but the wildlife around you. Then to end the day relaxing by a campfire while you stargaze...perfection! The multiple trails were great, with lots of different scenery to explore. Mason was really helpful and quick to respond whenever we had questions. I could jave stayed there forever...I can't wait to go back.

I have stayed here since December for a work assignment. Danielle is always a responsive host. There was an issue with the plumbing/septic and I had to move out for the night. Danielle put me up in a hotel overnight and had the problem resolved the next day. While very inconvenient I appreciated everything she did. The one issue I had is with the cleanliness after the workers were done. Left all the wet towels in the bathtub and the bathroom floor was not cleaned up. Minor thing. Otherwise excellent place to stay. Will stay there again for sure.

I've been renting the place for the past 3 years and will definitely rent again. The place was very clean and comfortable. The host was very accommodating and had quick responses to our needs. Thank you for always being helpful. If anyone is looking for a place to rent while in town I will definitely recommend this place.

I appreciated the beautiful bed linens and the comfortable mattress. This tiny home was well appointed with items needed (pots, pans, dishes, utensils, towels and paper towels) to make meals. They supplied coffee, salt and pepper and a few other staples. The tiny home has a private grill, fire pit and hot tub, so it's wonderful get away. They provided a blowdryer upon request. Be sure to bring your own body wash or bar soap, shampoo and lotion. Note that the property is not marked, so it's easy to miss from the road... so you'll want to slow way down when the GPS indicates you are close by so you don't miss it. Also the keypad is not illuminated, so you'll want to carry a flashlight or use the flashlight on your phone to punch in the numbers after dark. It's pitch black out there, but it makes for a beautiful backdrop to a million stars. Highly recommend.

Patricia was an awesome host, she would respond quickly and was willing to help us find things to do in the area. Even when there was a tornado that touched down she messaged to see how everyone was doing! First experience for my family and I to use airbnb and it was a pleasant experience 🙂

Very well priced. Kinston is a great little town.
