Bruce and Jackie were amazing hosts. They attended to our every need and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. There are so many extra wonderful touches they have been attentive to like the very soft rugs on the floor by the bed so your feet aren't cold, the very soft fluffy rugs and towels in the bathrooms, all of the complimentary toiletry amenities, snacks, chocolates, cold water bottles, creamer, coffee, wood for the fire pit....I could list even more. The house is very comfortable and very tastefully decorated. The sheets and blankets are all very comfy and so are the beds. The grounds are just beautiful and so peaceful in the country just outside of Mt. Vernon but close right off I-44. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely plan on returning.

Quiet neighborhood and a cozy place that’s perfect for a couple to stay! Kitchen was spacious and clean. We will likely stay here the next time we’re in town!

I think this was our 5th stay & we will continue to be back as long as Jim will have us! This home is beautiful, fully equipped with anything you could need, close to town yet secluded. This home has some really neat history and it feels just like home. We LOVE the fire pit! As always everything was perfect! Thank you Jim for sharing your home with us again!!

Very cute little house. Clean with everything we needed. No concerns.

We came for a family reunion and Julie's location was perfect for what we needed. The house is not in town like we thought, but was very peaceful and quite. We also didn't realize this was her primary residence , so it was a little different from what we are used to. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, which looked very clean and welcoming. We definitely had room to spread out, large outside area with tables, chairs, fire pit area and a walking trail out back. This large home would be fantastic for a family or friends traveling together. The best amenities for us were that it was pet friendly and very private. This was my first trip to Missouri and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
