Great house in a lovely family friendly area. Very easy to get to airport and into the centre of Madrid by metro or bus.

For the first time, experience the local neighborhood, although it is the first time to visit Madrid, but to live in a local area is also a different experience, it can clearly feel that the area is relatively clean, safe, relative to the middle class area, and the dirt difference in certain areas of the city really contrast, the design of the industrial wind is really bright, and a lot of materials are used for waste, you can see the host's insistence on the concept of sustainable environmental protection

Spacious and thoughtful house with all the things that make you the most comfortable trip! Ideal location, nearby you find movement of restaurants and shops, but you sleep in complete silence. The mattresses were comparable to a 5-star hotel. Juan has been tremendously attentive.

We had a great time at Frédéric's, the house is superb and the location at the top to visit Madrid.

Very nice place a few minutes from the metro that goes to the center. the apartment and the neighborhood are very nice.

This place was a lovely little hub to use to discover Madrid! It had everything we needed and plenty of space. There are shops and things in a walkable area and then a bus from basically right outside to plaza mayor! Great stay and would stay again!

We received a warm and personal welcome from May, who was very accommodating with the check-in time. The apartment was clean and had a lovely, fresh fragrance. It was generously supplied with extra towels and other amenities. The heating in the apartment was very effective even on colder winter days. Inside the fridge were two bottles of water and other chilled beverages as a welcome, along with some muffins and coffee pods on the countertop. We particularly loved that the small fridge had a built-in freezer compartment to keep ice, something we have often found unavailable in other Airbnbs, with fridges of similar size. May has gone to great lengths to ensure her guests have a comfortable stay, taking care of even the smallest details. The area is beautiful and walkable, with lots of restaurants and shops around, as well as Retiro Park only a short walk away. A number of grocery stores nearby meant we had no trouble finding whatever we needed. We can confidently recommend a stay here!

Miguel's place was beautiful and cozy, a perfect retreat from the bustling city. It was surprisingly quiet especially given the vibrant neighborhood. Everything was close-by and completely walkable. Only downside was that there was not an en-suite bathroom to the primary bedroom. You do have to climb up a set of somewhat steep and noisy stairs to get to the second bathroom. Not a deal breaker for us but something to consider if you are concerned about stairs especially if you get up a lot at night. Overall, the place was a five-star Airbnb experience for us. We would stay here again and recommend to others traveling to Madrid!

This Airbnb flat was absolutely wonderful! It was incredibly cozy and made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. Everything was spotless, and the space was thoughtfully arranged for comfort.

Very nice apartment, very well located in the center of Madrid. It allows you to do anything on foot. Patricio is very responsive and accommodating if needed.

What can I say! Alberto was a phenomenal host, and his Airbnb was top notch. Madrid is very walkable, and this Airbnb is in the center of it all! From washing machine/detergent to salt and pepper this place has what you need. Cold nights I was very warm, and I’m sure hot night the AC split will do you good as well!!! Mariano’s place was perfect for me, just as described. It was well equipped for an extended stay. And so perfectly located in the beautiful Malasaña neighborhood. We had a very nice stay here. We took an Uber from the airport for 30E and it was easy to find. We arrived before check in, but the cleaning crew let us leave our bags in the apartment. The Royal Palace is across the street and you can even see it from the living room windows. We were able to walk to all the sites we wanted to see during our short visit. The apartment was clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Wifi worked well. The laundry machine (washed and dried clothes) was easy to use, and detergent was provided. We didn't cook but the kitchen looked well stocked, and even had coffee capsules. Overall this apartment was perfect for our long stopover and we would recommend!

Marta's place is very convenient and cozy. It has everything you need. The bed is very comfortable and the shower has hot water all the time. There is plenty of storage for two people with carryon luggage and perhaps more! I really liked the kitchen appliances and everything worked great including the washing machine. The building is very quiet and perfectly located. There are great hole in the walls in the area of Lavapiés and close to nice coffee. Right next to Reina Sofia, El Prado, El Retiro, Atocha and Plaza Mayór! We stayed for 10 nights and had a great stay - I would recommend letting some air in during the day if you're using the heater because it can make the air a little coarse and that way it recycles - but maybe I'm just sensitive.

Martin met us upon arrival and went through the apartment giving us details as well as recommendations which we used.He maintained contact through our stay. The location was great, the apartment was good although the bathroom is tiny and the stairs are narrow in case you have large bags. Overall we had an excellent experience.

We stayed the night prior to a very early flight. Check in was easy and instructions clear. The apartment was great, but we weren’t there long enough to explore. Very safe and quiet, Carlos was very helpful and kind

TLDR: Very kind host and one of the best and most convenient locations to stay in Madrid, but has a few quirks you should be aware of mainly that it's basement level. Pros: * Kind and responsive host * The best location - 1 minute walk from a metro that takes you anywhere in the city, 3 minute walk from great gym, 7 minute walk to grocery store, plenty of restaurants nearby. Also smack dab in the middle of Malasana and Chueca which are centers of nightlife * Very quiet so can get good sleep * Cool atmosphere which helps during summer * Gorgeous decor * Many amenities included * Easy to use kitchen space Cons: * Basement level which can impact your mood if you need sun and and a feeling of space/openness * Shower drain consistently would get slightly clogged * No dryer, only washer which has a closing door issue (just close it firmly and press initiate regardless of if it says unlocked, open and repeat until it works) * Cold environment isn't the best for late fall + winter stays
