Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Lanchester

We spoke to Janice a few times whilst we were at the cottage. Janice was lovely, extra friendly and very accommodating. We’ve visited previously and will be back very soon.

Mark Was very responsive. We were visiting relatives during Christmas break, the property was beautiful and suited our needs exactly very comfortable and lots of space for us. We would definitely book again on our next visit.

I took my two daughters and 4 grandchildren for a long weekend and we loved it. Fabulous location, amazing house, great facilities and amenities. Extremely relaxing and a great host.

We had a wonderful stay at Clearwater cottage. It’s a beautiful place to sit and watch the river from the window, so peaceful. The property is well furnished and has everything we needed and more. The host was there at all times to recommend local restaurants and anything else we needed. We look forward to visiting again

A great place to stay. Top marks in all the categories (except I found the key box a bit of an intelligence test). Also 5 minutes walk from the centre of town. Brilliant!

We had a wonderful stay at Salt and Surf to celebrate my mum's birthday in lovely Saltburn. The property is very clean and has all the amenities you could need, and sitting in the window seat watching the sea with the log burner roaring behind was bliss! Thank you for an incredible stay and we will be back.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage. Beautifully decorated, clean and got parked right outside. The place is also in a great location to access the bars and restaurants in the village and also different walking paths in the area. Just a heads up to bring amenities like shower gel etc as we didn’t and could have used some.

Ian and Susan's flat was really lovely and just as described in the listing. It was walkable to the main street (about 1 minute) and nice and easy to find and get to. The flat was very comfortable and had everything we needed. When we needed some help with setting the heating Ian called us and was very clear with his instructions. Everything was great and I'd definitely recommend staying there.

Emma's place is beautiful and so comfortable. Everything was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and it had all the utilities we needed. I definitely recommend this place.

Really cosy and homely annexe. Log fire prepared ready to be lit on arrival and milk in the fridge which was lovely. A little chilly in the morning as there was a problem with heating but this was quickly fixed by Fiona and her husband and communicated wonderfully. Plus it was nothing that lighting the lovely log fire couldn’t fix! A really peaceful weekend - thank you.

The apartment was clean, very nicely furnished and well decorated. A real treat in all aspects within the host’s control. I’m usually a fairly light sleeper, even so, the noise from the street didn’t hinder my sleep. I would just note that for anyone with even slight mobility issues, walking around Durham could be a bit of a challenge. I would highly recommend Lisa’s place to any visitor to Durham.

Linda's place is a lovely two-bedroom flat in a nice quiet street close to South Gosforth metro (less than 10 mins walk), which is a short metro ride from central Newcastle and close to Jesmond. It is spacious and airy with two large bedrooms and a decent living room. It has a little yard area too. It was clean and well-equipped. Short walk to a shop. Linda, the host, was really helpful and friendly. We went to see my son who is at the University and we had a lovely time. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a very comfortable apartment right in the heart of Corbridge with views over the church. It is well-equipped and has the advantage of a parking space.

Was lovely a flat and perfect for what we needed. The flat was clean and tidy and everything we needed was inside. The host was proactive and gave clear instrutctions for entry. We didn't spend a lot of time in the village but it looked lovely with a fish and chip shop a few minutes walk away from the flat.

This pad is FANTASTIC! If you're visiting Newcastle, look no further because this is the place! It is an excellent well laid out space with all the amenities you will need. The location can't be beat and it's right by the train station! We stayed for a week and felt so at home. It was quiet and comfortable for everyone. We plan to visit Newcastle in the future and will stay here every time! I will also add that, Neil, the host, is so friendly, funny, and kind. As Americans who have never previously visited Newcastle or northern England, he spent time talking to us and orienting us to the area and culture. We felt so at ease after speaking with him and are very grateful for the time he took to talk with us!
