Cottage vacation rentals in Lake Superior

Fantastic location, especially if you plan to visit the Sleeping Giant. Huge outdoor space with multiple deck levels, all lit up at night both with solar and motion lighting. Cozy cottage with everything we needed, including a really nice hot tub after a day of hiking and biking. Great stop - would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home with everything we needed. Large yard for games or just being outside. Nice shallow sandy lake, our fishing boat fit nicely by the dock & the boat launch nearby. Easy to do daytrips. The Dirty Duck Saloon is close & has amazing pizza.

We had an amazing stay! The place was cozy, clean, and well-maintained, making it a perfect retreat. Kathleen was a fantastic host, ensuring we had everything we needed and providing thoughtful touches throughout. The location was incredibly convenient for accessing Giants Ridge Ski Lodge, making it easy to come and go throughout our trip. Highly recommend staying here!

This was our second visit to the property, our first time in cabin 5. We celebrated a birthday and used the hot tub all weekend. Everyone in our party had a relaxing weekend & would love to visit again sometime

This cabin is adorable, clean, and although it is small it sure is spacious! Right on the snowmobile trail so we never had to start our trucks once we arrived. Super close to town to fill up our sleds, and in a great location. We were running ahead of schedule on our way there and they allowed us to arrive early and were so kind and quick to respond! We will absolutely be staying here again!

This place was great. Ed and Kim were great hosts and we're very responsive. Would love to come back in the summer months.

Maureen’s attention to detail cannot go unnoticed. She thought of everything! We needed this little trip to unplug from the normal day to day stressors and this is exactly what we were looking for. Our expectations were more than met. They even shoveled for us after some snowfall. We had an amazing time and are so thankful!

We had an amazing family vacation at the “Beach House”. My family loved this area on Long Lake. The beach is very private , and we used it everyday. The beach also has a small fire pit, with a larger fire area up by the cabin. It’s a 16 minute drive into Cheboygan. Where their are many shops, and Restaurants. Cheboygan also has a beautiful trail system, with the Trail Head right in town. Our daughter ran on this trail at least three times while we were here. Makinaw City, and the Makinaw Bridge, are only 30-35 minute’s away.

Little Etsy was a great home base for our Mt Bohemia Ski trip. The barrel sauna was a nice break from the Nordic Spa after being active all day! We were a little tight on space for all our gear but the kitchen was functional and we had plenty of beds to sleep everyone.

Couldn't ask for a better location. It is right on lake, close to town. Todd gave great recommendations. All the comforts of home. Just know there is no dishwasher. The beds and couches were comfy. It was very clean but It is an older home. You won't be sorry if you book here.

We loved our stay at Kathryn's cabin. Close to town (about an 8 minute drive to the North House Folk School) and easy to find, but still tucked quietly away in a patch of woods on its own. Very peaceful. The heated floors in the bathroom were an absolutely lovely touch! It was very cold outside (February, go figure) but the cabin was nice and cozy and warm, especially with the wood stove. Modern kitchen, appliances up to date, internet access stayed steady and plenty fast enough for our needs. Had a blast exploring their enormous collection of books, felt like we were staying in a little slice of a library! Absolutely would stay again!

The description of the property was true. It,s a comfortable funky beach house. The location was great. Private but within easy driving distance to Marquette and the surrounding area.

We stayed here for two nights during our winter trip to Upper Michigan. The location is perfect for northern and Upper Peninsula travel. Chelsea's place had all the amenities that you can think of to make your stay comfortable. We were amazed by the attention to details on amenities and guest convenience. They also have a very nice information book for guests. Chelsea was very responsive before and throughoyt our stay. I'd highly recommend this place if you are visiting the area.

very nice stay. older dated cabin, but clean, and for the price and being on a lake, you can't beat it! will definitely stay again!! Crystal is very responsive. Beautiful trees and shaded, if it's hot, which it was during our stay. Beach was nice!

Wonderful cozy stay. Description is accurate and the surroundings are gorgeous. We took a long walk around the area where the house is and it’s stunning.

We had a great time staying overnight at the UP Sunrise Cottages. The host, Angie, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive, even when we had late-night, last-minute questions about checking in. The house was on a beautiful lakeside group of properties, and it was fully stocked with amenities, clear instructions, and super clean, comfy spaces.

This home’s location could not be better—it is nestled in the trees right on the lake and just steps aways from the ski hill allowing you to ski in and ski out! It was down a winding and hilly road that was easy to find with Marks instructions; I was grateful for the all wheel drive on our vehicle to get us there :) The house itself is also very impressive—it was beautiful, well constructed, clean and well stocked. Mark and his brother were super responsive and very friendly. We had a great stay!

We had a lovely long weekend getaway at Rita's cottage. It was even better than described in the listing - immaculately clean, well stocked, nicely decorated - and it was warm and cozy! We really liked the location - within 15 minutes of both Duluth and Two Harbors, yet a world away from the hustle and bustle. We would definitely stay here again!
