Vacation rentals with a firepit in Lake of Egypt

We loved how the history of the house stayed with it. We loved the fact you left memories of the owner. When we pulled in we thought the house was going to be so tiny and that it wasn't going to work. once we walked in we were totally shocked. There was tons of room, upstairs and downstairs. It was so peaceful and homey.

We absolutely loved this stay! I would definitely buy this house if it was on the market. The house is stunning, looks exactly like pictures. Very spacious. I would stay here again!

Amazing..you need to stay here. Stream on property that deer use. Enjoy the fire ring and opt to turn off all the lights for the most fantastic night sky. Home is comfortable and everything is user friendly. Great sleep. Shawnee National Forest nearby— gotta see Gardens of the Gods. Thank you for sharing your home.

Rebexlcca was awesome to work with as she kept me informed of anyone that was renting out the lower level while I was there for 5 weeks.

The place is better than we could imagine for deer camp. She thinks of everything and more for our to make our stay perfect

We loved our stay here! My kids enjoyed the out doors and seeing all the deer next to the house! The host was extremely friendly and flexible! Very clean and a very relaxing place to stay! Super comfortable! 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Megan's place was beautiful! Very nicely decorated. And I really appreciated all the helpful instructions, like how to use the shower, the coffee maker, and labels for all the lights. She's thought of everything to make this a cozy spot for a guest to stay. I wish the weather would have been warmer so I could have sat out on the delightful front porch. Maybe next time!

We absolutely loved staying in the Little Slice of Heaven cabin. It was private. Looked exactly like the pictures. The inside was extremely clean and very well organized. Not cluttered at all. Everything you could need was provided. We came during the winter, but really wanna come back during the summer to sit out by the pond. Communicating with Crystal was very easy. If you’re really hungry, go to Gabby andGranny‘s Restaurant. Their food is family style, and it was the best catfish bites we have ever had!

Nice place just off the highway. Only stayed 1 night, but it looks like it would be very fun for an extended stay in the summer. Easy check in with the code. Secluded with awesome views of deer and elk.

This was one of the most relaxing and rejuvenating weekends we've ever had. Thank you Jess for a beautiful space to come back to ourselves in during a very busy time.

It was a great stay! Close to a beautiful parks and trails! Easy to get to and from. Great place for recharging our batteries! Very good fireplace and a nice small stream by the cabin!

Tony was an amazing host and quick to respond when messaged. He gave very clear instructions to find the cabin and how to use the heaters. But was also available if we needed assistance! We are planning our next trip for when the weather is nicer so we can explore the property! The cabin was perfect and cozy!

Our stay at the cabin was amazing! The cabin was beautiful, clean, and well-stocked, making for a perfect getaway. What truly stood out was their incredible hospitality—after it snowed about 4 inches overnight, Tom went above and beyond to ensure we were safe, had the stairs accessible, and even offered a refund if we needed to leave early or a later checkout the following day. Their communication was excellent, and they made us feel so welcome. We’re so grateful for the experience and can’t wait to come back, hopefully in the warmer months to enjoy the lake!

I recently spent two nights at the Carlton Cabin and had an amazing experience! The cabin was spotlessly clean, cozy, and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. The Carltons were also incredibly kind and welcoming. The property itself was beautiful and peaceful, offering the perfect setting for relaxation. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable getaway!

The cabin was very clean and the hosts were nice enough to give us some of their farm fresh eggs, which were delicious. We traveled with 2 children under 2 and they both LOVED the farm animals. We had some pretty wet and snowy weather overnight before we left and the hosts already had the drive salted and plowed so that we could easily get out.
