This beautiful old house is a gem - it's as comfortable as your favorite pair of jeans. And the lakefront is just so special - clean, well kept, and inviting. We have been going for over 10 years and love it today as much as the first time we visited.

Kathy did an amazing job renovating this property, and we really appreciated all of her personal and special touches, such as the handmade pottery dishes in the kitchen and decorative touches around the house. We are a very crafty family and really appreciated her artistry. It was a very comfortable stay all around, the beds were super comfortable, towels fluffy, and every kitchen amenity we could possibly need was provided. The view from the house is amazing, and it’s a great location on the lake, just a short drive from Montague. We had only wished there was a fire pit next to the house, and not just down at the lake as there were several people in our party who are not able to travel up and down the stairs due to knee issues. Also, if you are a light sleeper I would recommend the upstairs bedrooms, you can hear every footstep upstairs from the basement bedrooms. All in all, Cathy is an excellent host, the house very comfortable and convenient, and we absolutely recommend.

The property was very clean and cozy. While we were there in winter and couldn’t take advantage of the lake, the location and view were beautiful.

A wonderful lake house for my family. The house has everything you need. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking and there's lots of fun stuff for playing on the lake. Very comfortable inside and out. We had a great time!

Jacob's place was spotless and right on the water. It worked perfectly for a guys ice fishing weekend. Jacob was very responsive and the house was exactly as described. Will be looking forward to booking this house many years to come for an annual tradition.

We loved the idea of converting an old motel into a more comfortable and spacious place right across from the beach. The bed was comfortable, "living" room space with table, microwave and fridge were just what we needed, and folks we met were very friendly. We'd stay here again!

Spotlessly clean. Low-key beautiful and peaceful, with very lovely lakeshore light. Should be three times more expensive than it is. For the price, this might be the best Airbnb in all of Chicago. I will stay there again.

This lakeside cabin is an idyllic vacation getaway for couples. It took some trial and error to able to use the listed appliances, but we managed to find a proper routine for using them. The hammock is set up in the perfect place under the trees. The sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. And, best of all, bubble wands. (Probably more intended for family use, but blowing bubbles is the ultimate way to relax.) 10 out of 10. Would booked again. P.S., If you drink coffee, you might wanna get some extra sugar to be safe. If Irina is provide extra sugar, then please disregard this postscript.

This was such a nice weekend with our family. The cottage was stocked with everything you need! The lake is super quiet and pretty private! The place was clean and remodeled in the inside. Our first time booking an AIRBNB so we were nervous but we are so glad we did!

One of, if not the cleanest Airbnb we’ve been to. Everything was ready/easily accessible in the home, didn’t have to worry about missing/going out for anything. Area was really quiet and peaceful, however the bedrooms were close to/facing the road where the occasional car could be heard (1-2 cars per night). Overall had a great time staying here, would definitely recommend and possibly rebook in the future.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at the Owl and Anchor cottage on Lake George. The cottage was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect, our kids loved the lake, and the value was exceptional for the price. We definitely plan on returning!

We were able to enjoy a week at this little piece of heaven over Christmas with our blended family. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations and more. They had everything that we needed, such as amenities, room for everyone and we just felt at home. Stephanie was not only very accommodating, but quick to respond to any question we had. I have stayed at many Airbnb's and this one was definitely my favorite. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and we hope to be back next year. Beautiful place in a beautiful location. Very cozy!! The hot tub was awesome for the winter nights! The city of Valparaiso is also adorable. We ate at Stacks and Le Peep both were delicious and highly recommended. So many cute boutiques and there is even an outdoor skating rink. It was such a vibe. The neighbor does have a Video Surveillance sign and a quiet hours 10 pm - 8 pm sign and a camera that faces the back deck of the house. We didn’t have any problems with them though. We have already chatted about booking this place for our girls trip next year!
