Second year in a row as a guest of Ragnar and Inge. We did expect quality accommodation and we were not disappointed. Well-equipped house, location great for salmon fishing. Friendly host.

Epic lonely, unspoiled and beautiful surroundings and nature. Lonely, remote and extremely private. Ideal retreat for walks over the frozen lake, through the endless forests and for unbridled sledding. Beautiful, cozy, sour and completely equipped house for independent self-catering. Extremely friendly, thoughtful and caring landlord with fabulous communication. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience. We would love to return at any time. Best wishes from Germany.

Great cabin in beautiful nowhere with reindeer ! The amenities in the kitchen and the lighting for the winter half year were not quite as good. Water with sulfur takes some getting used to but is completely okay. Sauna works 1A/ once you have found the switch. Great winter fairytale.

We loved our stay! The house was as pictured and we had everything we needed and more. We arrived late which wasn‘t a problem since we got a code for a lock box. The house we found perfectly fine with google maps and the lights infront of it helped as well. Keep in mind that it‘s quite secluded, so bring everything you need, kick back and enjoy the nature, peace and quiet! :) Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. The house is really lovely furnished and you feel at home as soon as you enter. The kitchen had everything we needed, there were also some spices, sugar etc. Our beds were as comfortable as they looked on the pictures. We were here during february which was perfect to spot the northern lights! We could see them from the front yard and the lake! (We could walk a bit out there since it was frozen solid). We also saw some animal paw prints in the snow so you might even spot some when you‘re there. Thank you so much Ira for sharing your lovely home with us. :)

Our stay at Minna and Jyrki's place was fantastic. Jyrki got us in contact with Minna and she welcomed us on the first day with a small tour of the house and with a lot of suggestions of what to do in the surroundings. They were always attentive to our questions and did a great job so we could enjoy our stay. I would definitely recommend to stay there, it was overall great!

We absolutely loved our stay at Miina's place. The location was perfect for us - it's a really easy walk / sledge into the main town, but the advantage of not being in the middle of town was that we had lots of outdoor space. We loved the outdoor space - our own private little woods. It felt really safe, and the kids just loved playing in the snow while we were preparing dinner / getting stuff ready for the day. If you're into cross country, there's also a track at the end of the road. The cabin itself is just perfect for a family. It's really well looked after and super cosy. We did plenty of cooking in the evenings, and found we had everything we needed. We also loved the sauna, which was really easy to heat. There's plenty of storage, so we managed to stay pretty organized with all our ski gear, and the dryer was so handy! We're already thinking about coming back!!

Beautiful cabin, perfect to families and also people new to the “Cabin” life. Very nice area, clean cabin with everything you need as a family. Nice location, and close to Finland for shopping etc. highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay at Maria's accommodation. The house is cozy and well-equipped, with a sauna and fireplace that made it very comfortable. The location is ideal – close to Saariselkä's center, with cross-country ski tracks right behind the house. A highlight was Maria’s recommendation to visit Ilonka Farm & Café. The husky walk through the forest and relaxing in a cozy Lappish hut by the fire created an unforgettable experience. The care for the animals and the welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere made it truly special. We also rented snowmobiles, which added an adventurous touch to our stay. Communication with Maria was excellent; she always responded quickly and provided clear instructions. A fantastic accommodation with thoughtful recommendations – we highly recommend it and hope to return soon! 💕🐾

We had a delightful stay at this charming cabin, perfectly balancing quaint seclusion with proximity to town. The equipment shed was a standout feature, saving us money by providing boots, snowsuits, sleds, and skis, making our adventures even more enjoyable. The sauna was a wonderful addition; however, clearer instructions would enhance its usability. It’s worth noting that the second room has a separate entrance, requiring a walk around the house or through the sauna to access the main cabin. Also, linens need to be ordered separately, and the pillows could be more comfortable. The host was exceptionally accommodating, adjusting to our changing travel plans. Overall, we were very impressed and would love to return to this winter wonderland.

Antti was very helpful in getting back to me as soon as I asked about how to take out the garbage and how to clean it.The cross-country skiing course is only 100 meters away, and we were able to ski every day for a week.The sunset from the window was fantastic.It was in a quiet environment, and I was able to read to my heart's content.The kitchen was also great, and I bought reindeer meat at the supermarket and enjoyed cooking with black beer.It had a sauna and was heavenly every day.I've never felt so calm and peaceful.We'd love to stay again.

Our stay at this cottage was nothing short of magical! The highlight, without a doubt, was watching the northern lights dance overhead at night—a breathtaking experience we’ll never forget. Every detail in the cabin was thoughtfully designed, making it the ideal spot to unwind and embrace the beauty of nature. We can’t wait to come back! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and unforgettable getaway.

Very nice place! The host was very nice, available and flexible, and responded quickly both before and during the stay. The place has a good standard, good sleeping places and practical and spacious open living room and kitchen - and great views of the river. The wood-fired sauna after long days on a trip was also lovely. Happy to come back!

Great place to stay if you’re looking for something a bit more out there - not a typical Airbnb experience but we really enjoyed it. Only real negative was a very creaky bed.
