I have been lucky enough to live in Kenya for the last 9 years. This was our last safari in Kenya and we chose Amboseli bush camp for a reason - it’s amazing location and proximity to Amboseli NP. Oh, and the lovey bush camp and staff. We were lucky enough to meet Derek as well, and enjoyed a drink with him and his partner. What I love about this place are there links to the local community. This is not like most of the other profit making ventures. It is also about helping the local community and conservation in the region. If there is a vacant - book it. You won’t be dissapointed.

Amboseli Trails A-frame

Very quaint A-frame in the middle of a corn field with its own grassy garden, with beautiful views of Kilimanjaro! Very nice gas hob and kitchen sink with adequate crockery. No fridge. Good solar power. Clean outdoor bathroom with western toilet and cold water tap with basin and cup for showers (ie. boil some water to make a nice warm basin shower). Lee was super helpful, got us connected to a ranger at one of the conservancies near Amboseli, and we had a great time game driving just outside the park. They are continuing to upgrade the site and I'm sure it will continue to get better and better.

Benjamin and his family let us feel at home from the first moment we took a step. Food was incredible, an authentic cultural taste. His excursions were a life time experience. The rooms were intimate and quaint. If you want a full comprehensive safari experience with a knowledgeable guide, Benjamin is the guy for that. Fully recommended!

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage The property is new, and everything has been thoughtfully designed with a personal touch. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. The host and the on-site staff are exceptional—they’re always ready to help and check in to ensure you have everything you need. The location is fantastic, right off a good road, making it easily accessible by any car. One of the highlights was being able to see elephants giraffes and zebras not too far off with help from the staff, we took a short drive to see other wildlife. Waking up to the breathtaking view of Mount Kilimanjaro each morning was an unforgettable experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can’t wait to come back again

It was extremely lovely. If you want to get away from the city and find a hidden peaceful gem, this is the place to be. The photos don’t really do justice to the place, especially in the mornings and evenings. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who just wants to unwind and relax. Jon, the caretaker was such an amazing person, he made the stay even better by helping and accommodating us whenever we needed him.

Was a great option to stay close to the park on locals land technically outside the park boundary but because there’s no fence you have direct access to the park! Park is great for self drive option and roads well marked and elephants easy to see. Comfortable 2 bedrooms and clean bathroom with hot water. Kitchen well stocked and water provided. Awesome sunrise view, Kili 1/2 seen during morning and evening :) We had a rented Land Cruiser, roads bumpy but very doable.

Family-Farm on the Slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro

Amazing stay. We felt at home and felt like part of the family. We shared meals and did our best to participate and be present in everyday life. We played with the children of the village, the young people from Evence's family took us by motorbike to discover the surroundings. Special mention for Evance who was available and attentive (before, during and after the stay) as well as her sister Dorice, who was very attentive and very kind. This stay was a break for us on our road trip, simplicity and humility. Thanks! We hope to be back sometime. Don't think about it, BOOK it!
