Vacation rentals in La Chorrera, San Carlos

This was such a beautiful airbnb with a beautiful view. Cristina was extremely responsive and helpful and we felt very well taken care of. The area is extremely remote and the roads are tough, however you get use to it and it’s 100% worth the stay. Hilario was a great help when we needed anything! We felt safe and they are all very inviting. If you need a relaxing, remote weekend getaway, this is the place to be!

I would stay here again! The home is beautiful and surrounded by forest and gardens. It was quite relaxing when we were there, but there's so much to see and do in the area that we spent little time there. Although one day we returned during daylite to explore the river behind the property, it's worth the hike down and up! Like others have said, Miriam is amazing - delicious breakfasts and so helpful. It was the perfect way to start the day outdoors. The town is about a 10 minute drive to restaurants and shops. We hiked the National park, but our favorite was El Silencio with the primary and secondary forests and lava fields. Stay here! You won't regret it.

Zen Village was awesome. It is designed so that individuals in a group have their own space and naturally gather in the outdoor kitchen and pool area. Hot tub was a hit. The caretakers were responsive and invited the children to milk cows. We were lucky with a cloud free view of Arenal.

Danny's place is stunning. The photos don't do it justice, it's just beautiful. The plants in the garden make it feel very private and we really enjoyed relaxing in the outdoor space. Danny was a fantastic host and very helpful when we contacted him. We would love to stay at Danny's place again

This one-of-a-kind Costa Rican retreat offers absolutely breathtaking volcano views that surpass what any photos can capture. We enjoyed our stay! It's a nice, clean home with scenic views in an authentic, safe community. We bought a few basics for breakfast (eggs, queso blanco, milk, coffee, juice) at the nearby community mini-market (a few blocks away) so we could make breakfast at the place. If you want fresh fruits & veggies, you should stop at a bigger market on your way (La Fortuna? Or El Castillo?). We ate dinner twice at the nearby La Terraza restaurant, which was good. We loved the batidos de fruta (fruit smoothies/shakes - 'de leche' ('of milk') . My favorite is the batido de papaya (de leche). My kids also tried the strawberry, pineapple, maracuya (and I think others, too!). We enjoyed the dishes we had there, too. Internet at the house can be spotty, but there's some cell reception, too. If you're on vacation and just checking your email from time to time and researching things to do in the area, it's fine; if you're looking to be a digital nomad, this is probably not the place for you.

First night have trouble figuring out water temperature (this is on my side issue) Jesse responded quickly and Send Elmer right away, very impressed response time. The driving direction is very helpful. Also give me the best time window to catch the cap of volcano’s beautiful sight in the morning . We are very fortunate to stay in this location/ host literally match the name La Fortuna. Thanks you, will stay again.
