GREAT location! Walkable to the train station and to many amazing restaurants, shrines, convenience stores, parks etc. Instructions for everything were crystal clear. The only thing I wish I had known is that it is on the corner of a very busy intersection so it was noisy at night and in the mornings. Also, there is a restaurant next door on the same floor so people coming and going to eat will be heard. If you are prepared for that, you’ll be totally happy with the convenient location. I went during the peak season (cherry blossom illumination for the neighborhood) so that is probably why it was so crowded/noisy! Possibly other times of the year are quieter. Also wish I had known- you will only be provided 1 towel/person for your entire stay and the towels are small and thin. Bring some if you can! Or you can wash it obviously. It rained while we were there so things took forever to dry. But there’s a laundromat within walking distance for drying if need be! Overall, great stay!

Amazing host and amazing location. The place gave a homely vibe and it was easy to access as well. The host was super helpful and answered anytime I had a query. Glad to have booked this place. Will surely book it again.

Great stay at Koji's place! Definitely a smaller space, would best serve solo travelers and maybe couples. Would not recommend for families or groups. Extremely convenient location, walking distance to Kyoto Station. Also very close to Toji Temple. Overall, I had a nice and peaceful stay here, would highly recommend for its location and easy access to everything in Kyoto!

Super nice place to stay. The location closed with the train station, supermarkets, restaurants as well. Royce was super helpful, kind and friendly. I still remember when my husband accidentally left his bag in the train, Royce help us without hesitate to contact the officer of the lost&found department and he guide us how to get our bag back. We really appreciate it for Royce help. 🙂

Home was lovely, clean and a 10min walk to kyoto station. April was a very kind and helpful host who made sure we were always looked after. Shout out to Hope and her game of chance! Very lucky 🙌🙌

Awesome place made the trip easy!

Our second time staying here and will come back again. Naoko is very kind, generous, hospitable, and helpful. The apartment is clean and comfortable and in the location that's not overwhelmed by seasonal tourists. We feel very much at home here.

Cocrorro hotel is great. The station and Family mart are literally steps away. The room was cozy and comfortable. The only thing you need to be made aware of is there is no elevator, so you will have to carry your luggage up the narrow stairs. It’s a great value! I plan on staying there anytime I come to Kyoto!!

there was water bottles, extra linen a few stains on the sofa, dining table looks worn, construction outside the room, hangers were a bit of all sorts but I'm always just glad to have as many hangers as possible but otherwise the neighborhood is great can feel the host takes cares of the place great big tub the silverware baskets were great organization spacious apartment there was paper towel, slippers I would come back to stay again, though would be curious how tall the new construction next door will be beside this top floor apartment fantastic host!

The place is lovely and you get to meet a not-so-crowded area of Kyoto. There are public parks, temples, shrines, and restaurants nearby. The closes train/metro is 1,7km away so if you are a fast walker or you just rent a luup or kotobike that’s the quickest way to get downtown. Else you have lots of bus stops nearby, they just take a bit longer. Best for long stays, not so much for people in a rush.

Mayumi was there when we arrived, was incredibly accommodating and a real pleasure to speak with. She showed us everything in the house and gave us excellent recommendations. She even helped me planned my proposal (secretly) as I need helped navigating the crowds in Kyoto! The unit was wonderful and very much a true Japanese experience compared to a western-style hotel. It was nothing flashy, but had all the modern comforts. There was even an option for doubling up the bedding to provide more comfort for those more accustomed to softer, deeper beds. The balcony was beautiful and relaxing in the mornings. There is a somewhat busy street across from the balcony that hosts ryokans and restaurants, but nowhere as busy or intrusive as the Kawaramachi area (conveniently) just up the block. Just be aware during the day, that there is a some foot traffic 20 feet away if you keep the doors open, it peaks early evening and is empty by night so you can sleep peacefully.

Top place to stay. Place was very clean, equipped with everything necessary and well located. Especially the parking space provided is great if you come by car. The host was friendly, helpful, and always easily accessible. I felt completely comfortable and would come back anytime!

Overall an amazing stay. We needed a spot that we could stay and keep our things- we didn’t spend much time there outside of sleeping there. Location was perfect and Host was very helpful.

Loved staying here, Taiyo’s family was so friendly and sweet. Was very helpful and I was also able to luggage forward to my next hotel as she called Yamato transport so they could pick up my luggage. Room was very spacious and had everything I needed. Would highly recommend and next time I’m in Kyoto I would definitely stay here again!!

Seizai was very kind and understanding throughout the process, and the place is as described. Perfect if you want to be in a quiet and authentic area of Kyoto.

Definitely enough space for 1-2 people. I like that it had an elevator since I’m carrying way too much. Area is really close to two stores - market and grocery store. The grocery store across the street has more variety and better prices than the market near the station. Station is a 3 min walk and you can get to lots of areas without having to transfer. It was a bit pricey but I think most areas in Kyoto might be.

My son and I spent two nice nights in the place and in the neighborhood, where there was everything, it was a nice place! we miss the wifi a little the first night! and for those who have the hard mattresses, this is not! my son was delighted, I was not so happy! Highly recommended in general and the host is always attentive and available! Thank you

We stayed at four airBnb‘s in Japan and all have their good points, but this was by far the best. Located in a quiet suburb so not walking distance to the main sites of Kyoto, but with some lovely sites that we would not have seen otherwise Close by. It was as simple Uber ride or train ride to get into Kyoto for main sightseeing and it was lovely to come home to a quiet un bustling local with a wide choice of excellent restaurants to choose among. The apartment itself is spacious, by far the most spacious we stayed in And it’s part of a an apartment complex which has a small gym. Nori and Fumi even served us breakfast all three days we were there in another upstairs breakfast room. To top it off, they picked this up and dropped us off at this train station three days later. All in all it was a really welcoming and comfortable place to stay, well worth the price we paid

Very Accessible place in Kyoto right near the famous Toji temple grounds. It had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Bus stop is just a minute walk from the stay and this made our travel in the city super convenient.

Excellent location, easy to walk to many areas of Kyoto. Easy check in and communication with host. Very comfortable beds! Would recommend.
