Cottage vacation rentals in Kilmun

Flew in from Toronto, Canada to this beautiful home away from home. Barbara, Graeme (and Rosie) were extremely hospitable and welcoming hosts. The cottage has everything you need. Lovely, comfortable linens and beds, clean and modern bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, and great and private hot tub. The location is very rural, but easy to find with google maps. The town of Kilburnie is close by with a grocery store, gas station and pharmacy among other amenities.

We had a beautiful stay at Calair cottage and would love to return another time. Thank you, Tom and Lisa!

Lovely house set in a fantastic location with amazing views. The house was comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Hot tub and sauna was a welcomed bonus after long walks. Hosts were very responsive.

Lovely and peaceful, with super loch views and a relaxed vibe. Nicely curated and perfect for our elderly golden retriever as everything was, bar a few steps here and there, on one level. The covered deck is ideal whatever the weather. Would recommend.

Rachel’s Farm ‘The Cottage’ was exactly as advertised. Perfect for the wife and I to have a last minute romantic weekend away. Booking was so easy, the property was very homely and welcoming and we immediately felt the worries of the world disappearing as we relaxed into the hot-tub listening to the wildlife. Also after a day of exploring the area to be able to slip into that awesome rolltop bath. I’m one of the larger built gentleman, and to have a bath that I can lay in and fit was sublime. You almost had to charge me for the cost of that bath as I was tempted to bring it home with me. 👍and then to climb into that bed. I haven’t slept that well for months..! Honestly, if you are considering staying here, I would 100% recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

Mitsubishi Heating System was interesting. The toilet seat needs to be adjusted for gentlemen having a pee. The bathroom door just clips the bath as it opens and needs a little shaving off the door. Just a few little things that I noticed being an Airbnb host myself. I am not being critical but trying to be helpful to mine host.

This Airbnb is one of our favorites. The location is great. You can drive up to multiple Lochs, sights, as well as being in the heart of a glen and surrounded by Scottish beauty. There is a fabulous back garden with chairs, there are sheep, deer and wilderness all around and it is great for hiking. The amenities are all working, well managed and explained, there is lots to do and many ideas are given by the host as well. The rooms are cosy with magnificent views, kitchen well equipped. Billy was fast to respond, flexible ( we inquired about an extra hour due to a zoom call we needed to take and he responded immediately with options) and it is clear that this Airbnb is well cared for. We will recommend and return. Thank you.

Super cottage, perfect for enabling a wonderful stay on Arran. Easy access to both the mainland and all that Arran affords. The cottage was full of character and charm and was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. It had everything we could possibly need, was extremely clean and well equipped.

Have just spent a few days at Ashburn cottage & it was lovely. The cottage was very comfortable with everything you could need & had fabulous views of the loch & mountains. The weather was cold, crisp & sunny so was stunning, we did have a wee flurry of snow. Loved the log burner, so cosy!! Had a lovely meal at the Goil Inn & The Boat Shed cafe a definite for a visit! Will hope to be back again soon 👍

We felt very much at home in this cosy, lovingly decorated cottage. Every practical need was taken care of, the heating system worked perfectly. We liked our meals at the big kitchen table and the quaint staircase leading up to the bedroom and bathroom. Personally, I found it hard to sleep because the mattress was worn out and very uncomfortable

Fabulous location looking out towards Isle of Arran and beyond. Easy access to coast and ports for taking ferry rides to Cumbrae and Bute. Friendly host. Very quiet at night. Cottage well laid out and spacious and enclosed garden for the dogs. Everyone happy!

We absolutely loved the cottage, the surrounding scenery was breathtaking, everything you could think of was provided. Really easy to follow instructions to light the wood burner, lots of info on local facilities and so pleased to find somewhere so lovely and private to bring our dog on holiday with us. The Hideaway is a little gem in a tucked away place by beautiful Ostel Bay (Kilbride Bay). It is home from home with everything you need even for longer stays. It is quite spacious and lovely and warm when needed. A short walk down the road/path (it can be boggy so bring your wellies in case) and you are at a stunning remote beach with views over Arran! There's plenty of walking about and enough cafes and pubs to choose from. The Glenan forest walk and Portavadie marina are both lovely. Annette is very friendly and helpful and the little Bothy with cakes etc is scrumptious! Highly recommended!

This was the most amazing place with stunning views. Joanne is a super host and made us all feel welcome from the very start. The Bothy was perfect so much more than the photos our dogs loved the wood burner in the evenings. We wished we could have stayed longer, thankyou Joanne and Alan we will definitely be back. Our dogs loved watching the chickens and ducks too.

Fabulous & comfortable house with the best enclosed garden for our dogs, loads of birds & wildlife. Saw many red squirrels & even a pine Martin! The surprise is the wee sitoutery at the bottom of the garden with the wood burning stove. There are great walks all around with stunning views. We’ve arranged to go back again, Peace perfect peace. Jane's cottage was exactly as described and immaculate - like a home from home. Easy to find, easy to park at. Great location for the many local attractions - we stayed a few days - we could have had a few weeks worth of things to see. Cottage is beautiful and in a perfect location for exploring locally or regionally. Beautiful, pristine accommodation with garden area and direct walking access to historical rock art sites and the canal. Thoughtfully chosen guide books available to help guests choose things to see. Lochgilphead close by with good takeaways (Argyll Cafe, Taj Mahal) , cafes (Salty Dog) and a CoOp open till 10pm. Really loved the cottage and the area, highly recommend.

What an amazing cottage and location! Fiona was an exceptional host with outstanding responsiveness to a very late booking on our end with an early check in provided. The cottage has everything you could need and there is so much to do in walking distance and so much more with a wee drive away. We will return very soon as six days wasn’t enough! This is an outstanding option if your heading this way with a fantastic host.

Beautiful house with beautiful views. unfortunately the day we arrived the next day there was digging at the plot next door so some days we couldn't sit outside in the garden. This is no fault of Amanda's and we would recommend anyone who is looking for a house that is clean with beautiful views to book.

Staying at Holly Croft in was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the peaceful setting, the charming home, and the warm hospitality. We left feeling rejuvenated and already dreaming of our return.

This cottage is fantastic. Everything here has been thought of. If you were inclined you could literally prepare any main meal here. The location was perfect for us looking for a simple, peaceful base to explore Bute from. The host has placed in the cottage. plentiful maps, walks and references for things to do on the Island. Ettrick bay is a tranquil retreat with amazing scenery in every direction. It has good walks locally and an hourly bus back into Rothesay. If you wish you can walk the old Tram path back to Port Banantyne (about 90 mins). I have to say we were extremely fortunate with the weather (17-21 March) and it was wonderful at the end of the day to sit on the patio with a glass of wine staring out to sea and the Island of Arran. Simply Stunning.
