Cabin vacation rentals in Kielder Forest

Great weekend away for Valentine’s Day, close to Durham for a day out and very relaxing to come back and spend time in the hot tub, overall a great experience :)

I travelled with my two sons and one of their friends all various ages from 13 up to 18. The lodge had everything we needed for our night away. There are a great choice of amenities which we all made use of. We had the pool and the games room to ourselves, whilst the older lads enjoyed using the gym. It was very blustery so it was nice to sit and soak in the hot tub. The area is so peaceful and the view is amazing. The hosts are really responsive. They have thought of everything including snacks, a great choice of towels, robes and slippers. We made use of the fire Pitt which was wonderful for a cold February evening. We can’t wait to come and relax here again soon.

Had a lush trip for my boyfriend’s bday! We loved how quiet and peaceful it was. We really enjoyed eating with the view of the lake. We brought our dog too and he loved the open space. A highlight was Paul allowed us to play cards in the boathouse which was perfect for our last night. My boyfriend loved the hot tub and watching the stars at night. Would 100% recommend and Paul was great throughout

This place is a hidden gem. Rosie and Jim are excellent hosts, they made our stay incredible and we had the most wonderful new year. The house is better than in pictures, the surrounding fields and beautiful landscapes are truly incredible. We had a great stay and would love to come back!

A beautiful caravan perfect for a family break. We stayed 3 nights over the February half-term with 2 children and our dog. The hot tub was a hit with us all and we felt relaxed and comfortable. We loved that it had 2 bathrooms, so there was plenty of space for us all to get showered and changed, including a walk-in wardrobe in the main bedroom. The caravan park was quiet and ideal with a park for the girls to play. The Host, Jennifer, was friendly and responsive to any questions we had while we were there. Thank you so much.

Such a lovely spot for a family getaway. The patio looked out to woodland which was perfect for a secluded hot tub retreat. Location was great for tourist activities like Alnwick and Bamburgh, plus the zoo at the end of the road was awesome! The underfloor heating made the cabin toasty warm in what was a cold Feb half term!

Just lovely place to get away and chill, felt homely and relaxing it was bigger than we expected with lots of room We loved it! We will definitely book again

Starlings Rest was a lovely cosy space to base myself for a few days. I would happily have stayed longer. Although tucked in amongst the village gardens it was very peaceful and quiet and I slept really soundly. Despite the slightly wild weather during my stay, the cabin stayed lovely and warm. It was kitted out with everything needed to prepare food and make myself at home and was spotlessly clean. It’s obvious where the cabin got its name as I had lots of fun watching the local birds forage in the garden outside! I suspect the garden would look lovely with flowers in the summer months. Only a short drive to Kelso and to other towns in the Borders; lots of great walks within easy reach.

It was a great location close to the A1. Very comfortable and relaxing lodge with lots of paths to walk the dog.

Great cabin in beautiful grounds. It had everything we needed, an amazing shower, a great log burner with some logs available, everything we needed in the kitchen, comfortable beds and great outdoor areas to relax in. Hosts were warm, welcoming, very helpful and responsive to needs. Would definitely recommend!

What an incredibly, thoughtful and stunning place. It is an absolute dream place and space for anxious dogs and their even more anxious owners. The thought to that has gone in to creating a safe and wonderful break for our delicate little souls is so heartwarming in such times like these. Everything from the generosity of the hosts , the impeccable living area. , amazing space to park and still so much grass in the secure enclosure for little legs to run free .

What an amazing place to stay So peaceful and quiet Within driving distance of shops What a lovely time we had for New Year Cracking log burner kept us warm, place was very clean and was like being at home Great WiFi for watching TV and gaming Rachel was lovely and their of we needed her. Highly recommended and will come again in the future Well worth the 4 hour drive from North Wales Even got some snow ❤️

Sharon’s place is beautiful. The view is stunning. It’s a wonderful place to stay. She has thought of everything to give a lovely and welcoming stay. Recommendations, communication and responsiveness to any queries etc are brilliant, second to none. So very very helpful in responding to anything at all and very quickly. A really wonderful holiday experience.

It was a gorgeous cabin, very comfortable, clean and nicely finished. Lovely view of the mountain (weather permitting). Good location to walk into Keswick (20 mins?)on the old railway path (or go the other way towards Threkeld which was more into the countryside). Lower Briery Holiday village is in a bit of a valley with River Greta close by. There are only basic channels on the tv (which made a change from endless scrolling of channels!) but if you want to watch a bit more or to entertain kids I would bring your own laptop etc. The robins that kept coming to the balcony for a bit of bread were very tame and friendly. We had a lovely stay, the weather was not the best (Feb) but when we were hanging out round the cabin and chilling it was lovely.

We loved our stay at the HoneyMug cabin which was cosy, clean and comfortable. We took our telescope and were very glad we did because the night sky was amazing! We hope to visit again in the future.

Had a wonderful stay as a returning guest at this Airbnb. The location is fantastic, with easy access to local attractions. The amenities provided were great, and the place was spotless clean upon arrival. Highly recommend!

Perfect place for our stopover. Great cabin to stay in, had everything we needed including some homemade ginger cake! Arrived late and left early so can’t comment about the area but would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and well-equipped. The location has a beautiful view and was very quiet, yet close to both Innerleithen and Peebles. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful cabin with post-card picturesque views. It was a true winter wonderland which made for a lovely experience. The heavy snow did mean we chose to not use the hot tub as it does take a while to heat up and we preferred to stay in the warmth of the cabin but that just means we’re keen to come back again to make full use of the cabin and the surrounding things to see/do! Host was helpful and responsive, and all the information ahead of the stay helped us have a stress free trip.

Stayed here as was attending a wedding on site. Cabin was beautiful and clean, and in a beautiful location. Definitely recommend for anyone either attending an event on site or anyone just wanting some private time away from the bustling city.
