Every detail, from the layout to the lighting, felt deeply intentional and inviting. The three of us — close friends — had such a wonderful time here. Whether we were sharing meals, soaking in the spa under the stars, or simply unwinding in the serene indoor spaces, the home offered the perfect setting to reconnect, laugh, and rest. The surrounding trees, birdsong, and lush gardens made it feel like we were held by nature the entire time — utterly magical. Alice was a phenomenal host: warm, communicative, and thoughtful throughout. She’s created a space that’s more than just a place to stay — it’s a place to pause, exhale, and truly be. We left feeling restored and full of gratitude. Can't wait to return, thank you Alice.

Cindy's whare was the perfect place to host a house of kaumātua. It was clean, pristine, the kitchen had everything to prepare meals. We were thankful for the neighbours too as they reminded us about rubbish/recycling day in and amongst a busy film festival schedule. A beautiful spot.

Raymond is a fantastic host, so helpful & friendly. I had to leave, unexpectedly, at short notice & Raymond ensured I did the appropriate thing in the Air BnB app so I would get a refund. I'll definitely be back to stay again when next in the area. I couldn't recommend Raymond more highly 👍😄.

We had a nice few days in the tiny house. It had all we needed, was nicely stocked and set up and we loved being able to walk on the beach just a couple minutes away. The host was welcoming and great with communication.

This whare was a beautiful place to go to after very long days. Warm, tidy, fully functioning kitchen. Very thankful for such a nice whare to host us among a very busy work week.

A great spot to escape up the coast with a group. Watching the sunset in the balcony was perfect and the house has quick access to the beach. Had a fantastic stay.

Amazing location and views. Only a few minutes to quaint cafes and a well stocked Four Square. Caution for those with mobility considerations - the house is at the top of the garden. While there are steps, I would be challenging for anyone with mobility concerns. But that is what makes the view amazing as well!

We travelled from Auckland to play golf in the area. The house was perfect for us: four bedrooms and old style Kiwi hospitality and generosity. Breakfast was provided as well as welcome treats. It was like visiting someone's home that you could make your own for the stay. We cooked both nights we were there (BBQ) and enjoyed the indoor/outdoor living. I will recommend Twin Palms to anyone I know going to stay in the area. Comfortable, great value for money and with all amenities. Anne Marie is also a great host. Always available but unobtrusive. We communicated by messaging throughout and she was responsive and accommodating. I commend her for the pleasure and comfort she brings to travellers staying at the property but mostly for her generosity of spirit. She really wants people to enjoy their stay and does a great job ensuring they do by providing everything they could need and more. Twin Palms is a real find. Anne Marie is the wonderful host you never meet but wish you could.

Was fantastic, high standards of amenities and cleanliness & would stay again. Information said it was 4 bed but it was a 1 bed? This was fine as there was only 2 of us.
