Vacation rentals in Kangaroo Island Council

Thank you for letting us stay in your home Ian. The place was exactly what we needed, very short walk to the beach. We ate in most nights so I was very appreciative of the high quality appliances - so refreshing to have a stove and oven that work perfectly. Everything was great - our only recommendation for improvement would be to pop a pair of rubber gloves under the sink to make washing up a bit smoother.

We had a fantastic stay at Jane’s place! The accommodation was incredibly spacious, providing plenty of room for our group of seven. The highlight was the serene view over American River, which we enjoyed from the long balcony, making our evenings truly special. The peaceful surroundings added to the relaxing experience. Plus, the table tennis was a fun bonus! Overall, a lovely stay, thank you for hosting us. 😊

We enjoyed squid fishing and fishing at the jetty. The view of the American River was beautiful in the early morning, afternoon and evening. The wild animals were also fascinating. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!

We had a lovely time in Cape Jervis. The house, location and view are great. It is the ideal location for a day trip to Kangaroo Island, the ferry terminal is only minutes away so that it is easy to catch the earliest and latest ferries of the day. One thing to remember is that Cape Jervis itself is only a small village and Victor Harbor where all the restaurants and tourism offers are, is about 45 minutes-drive away. The absolute highlight are the kangaroos assembling across the road in the early morning and evening.

Amazing stay, super quiet house in the middle of a farm, yet with modern amenities. Great for families with books and toys available for our two young kids. Tons of space, and the kids were very excited to watch the farm animals graze. The welcome gift of fresh bread and wine was an awesome touch. Nighttime stargazing was incredible as there's not another light for miles (as long as you don't trigger the driveway motion-sensing floodlight 🙂) Weather was good while we were there so the A/C only being in the master bedroom wasn't an issue; opening the front and back doors got a healthy breeze through the whole house. It did get a bit chilly overnight but the two space heaters provided did a good job for us (not sure what happens if you're using all four bedrooms, though). Note that we did see quite a few ants in the house, so you need to clean up well after each meal. But you should probably expect some bugs in a house of this age as the sealing won't be perfect.

light & bright indoor space w lots of glass, yet remaining private. Kevin & Yvonne are conscientious hosts. we would have enjoyed staying longer!

Magical end of the earth location. Brand new home, very well stocked and well set up for cooking and bar-b-que. Loved seeing the wallabies at the food bowl at sunset. Had the special treat of a koala stopping by! Stunning sunrises. Warren is excellent communicator with great recommendations. Looking forward to returning some day!

We loved our 4 nights at Karen’s cottage. It was in a perfect location to make day trips to each part of the island as well as being able to walk down to Penneshaw. We enjoyed the view from the table and chairs in the backyard as well as out the bedroom and bathroom windows. It was very peaceful for us. Karen left a lot of little extra supplies for us such as juice, milk, bacon, eggs, bread etc as well as all the staples such as sauces, s & p and oils, dressings and a well equipped kitchen including bbq tools which we cooked with each night. I would highly recommend a stay at Karen’s place if you enjoy super comfortable beds and good shower pressure along with peace and quiet and great views of the ocean.
