I highly recommend Emily's homestay! The house is brand new, not an old renovated house, it is built with the concept of a single family home, and the interior is clean and tidy. The layout is reasonable, the first floor is the living area, and the second floor is the tatami bedroom. The mattress is moderately firm and very comfortable. I like the drying function in the bathroom, suitable for rainy and snowy weather, clothes are dry in a while. The air conditioning throughout the house is also excellent. Great location, 5 mins walk to Aeon, convenience store and other amenities, 10 mins to Kyoto station, great savings on transportation. The surrounding environment is quiet and safe, and the snowy scene outside the door when it snows is super healing. You can feel the host's attention and enthusiasm from the moment you book. She said, "If you need help with anything, please feel free to ask me anytime, just like at home."(I was warmed), when I left the hotel, it was snowing heavily, I couldn't take the JR, and I couldn't get a taxi. Emily actively coordinated and finally asked a Japanese uncle to take us to another station to take the airport bus. In the heavy snow, the uncle dragged our suitcases all the way. His glasses were wet from the fog many times, but he always politely stopped and waited for us to catch up. He patiently taught us how to buy tickets at the station and only left after watching us get on the bus safely. This feeling is unforgettable! Such a cozy and thoughtful homestay. I'll choose this place when I go to Kyoto in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Yu’s place in Kyoto. Please follow Yu’s instructions as the location by Apple and Google maps may show to be slightly different (location is on Yoancho and not on the pedestrian walkway). The home is completely renovated with top notch Panasonic fixtures throughout. Area is convenient on the subway line from Kyoto Stn and beautiful near Gosho (former Imperial Palace).

The resident is only a short walk to Kyoto station and other attractions, very clean and well kept. Surrounding areas are quite at night, it is recommended for family.

The location is not a street block in the center of the residential area, a single house built in a single house, very fully equipped with hygienic conditions and facilities, very suitable for 4-5 people to live, really recommend!!!!!

Beautiful place that was comfortable for our 3 day stay in Kyoto. Check in was very easy and Shan was a wonderful host.

The landlord was very friendly and patient and quick to respond to our questions.The room was also very clean and clean.Strongly recommended.

It was very convenient for us. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and toilets were sufficient for our group of friends. The accomodation is interactive with buttons and hidden treasure which sparked our curiosity throughout the stay. Fun and great house to stay in!

An absolutely incredible stay. This peaceful Ryoukan was exactly what our group was looking for ; spacious, clean, and comfortable. The onsen bath out back was perfect after a long day of walking. Would love to stay here again :)

Beautiful Japanese Ikkodate. Simple but have everything you need. Plenty of restrooms both downstairs and upstairs. The hakoniwa with tea room is amazing! We had great family chilled time there.

Small townhouse located on a lively street. While taking a bath in the wooden bathtub, you have a beautiful view of a small backyard garden. Just great! We enjoyed it. Various restaurants can be found all around. However, we were glad we were traveling with Japanese speaking people. With English or the Google translator alone, we would have been lost.

It was very lucky to find this homestay, due to the change of flight, to arrive one day later, because it is not possible to stay because it is booked behind, I can only stay here for two nights and change another hotel, this is our own problem, but the host was very communicative, helped us change the length of the stay, and apologize, so we are very sorry.We also booked restaurants, massages, and changed the number of massages in the back, and the host was very enthusiastic to help us figure it out.The host is Chinese, and the communication is smooth.Two bicycles are also provided, which is convenient for us to explore the city, only ten minutes by bike to Kinkakuji Temple, the trip is a little slow, the return trip is refreshing, haha.The house is very clean and tidy, the surrounding neighborhood is also very quiet, and it is a few minutes walk to the nearby bus stop.Will stay again next time!

Takeshi provides a great place in Kyoto, close to public transport and restaurants/activities. Takeshi is very responsive and flexible and willing to help out. He also provides great recommendations on what to do whilst in Kyoto. Would definitely recommend Takeshi and this property!

Probably one of the best spots I’ve booked ever!!! The place is gorgeous and cozy, the heated floors, great bathroom with awesome shower and tub, you can sit out on the terrace and watch the train go by in a quiet neighborhood. Convenience stores nearby, complimentary coffee/tea/water were so helpful, and it’s perfectly located in the beautiful Arashiyama district — I already miss it!

Our stay at Zhang’s home was wonderful. We were very comfortable with 6 of us and the two girls were able to have our own space in the tatami room with a private bathroom and shower. Check-in was straight forward and the house itself was clean and well stocked. The town was beautiful and quiet, with many shrines located within walking distance. This has been our favorite location so far on our two week trip. We would highly recommend the stay.
