House vacation rentals in Kalamazoo County

This house was wonderful for myself, my parents, my 2 brothers, sister in law, and 2 nieces! The pool was in use from sun up to sun down. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. My mom was able to navigate between her wheelchair and walker, which meant all the world. I have stayed in many airbnbs. What sets this one apart, besides the gorgeous house, pool, and amenities, was the way everything was stocked. There were enough extra towels for all the in and outs of the pool. Anyone who has stayed at an airbnb with a pool can relate to not enough towels. Not the case here!! Also, plenty of extra toilet paper. And the good tp! How many times have I had to stop during my vacation to buy extra TP. Not at this house! It had everything I needed!! Including washing machine tabs, so I could keep up with the laundry. Tons of extra plates, silverware, cups! EXCELLENT communication from Mary. I am sure our family will be back to this Oasis!

Rob's place is fantastic! This is our second year renting for an annual Halloween gathering and this home is perfectly equipped. There's more than enough personal and private space for big groups + fur babies. We love using the hot tub and the theatre. The grounds are stunning, with great views and a lot of privacy, while still close enough to town to run out for anything we needed. The hosts anticipated our needs and even added some lovely spooky decorations to enhance our weekend. We can't recommend this property or the hosts highly enough. We'll definitely be returning!

We stayed with a few other families and had a comfortable stay. We had everything we needed. Rick’s guide provided all the information we needed and all was clear and thoughtful. The spade was cozy and large enough for us all to spend time together and the bedrooms private enough for those that wanted to retreat. Town nearby was also very cute with great window shopping and cafes. We are so grateful to have had access to this space to spend time together!

Perfect location for a wedding at Gable Hill. Loved that everyone had their own rooms and not a bunch of bunk beds. Highly recommend!

This was a fully supplied kitchen, that made my stay very pleasant. Our family gathering spent the majority of the time in the kitchen and pool area. We enjoyed the esthetics of the entire home. (I did love the the red peacock tree.) We, as a group, appreciated the coffee bar. The pool area is clean and enjoyable. Kids and adults enjoyed the pool and slide for hours. I was able to drink my morning coffee in the warmth of the pool room, watching a beautiful sun riase and gorgeous landscape. Very peaceful.

Beautiful place to stay on the water! I stayed with my bridal party to get ready for my wedding, and then relaxed with my HUSBAND🥰 very nice hosts and communicated with me quickly and easily. Would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our week here at Christmas time. Bronson Park was beautifully decorated. Did a little shopping and ate at the local restaurants. The house was very large for our family of four with spacious living and sleeping areas. The kitchen and bathrooms were extremely clean and well stocked. A great place.

Our daughter attends Western Michigan University. The house is located just a couple of miles away from Campus. It was extremely east to go back and forth to campus. It’s also close to restaurants and shopping. We are very satisfied with our stay.

Shawn was a great host. Everything in and around the house was on point and instructions were very clear

the place was nice. it could use some extra cleaning. such as the bathroom toilets were not clean the kitchen floors could use another moped. there are a LOT of beautiful things but a little to many things to break the vases and artificial flowers. we love the number of towels. leave 1-2 garbage bags. the Host is very nice and adhered to our calls as soon as possible. Over all we loved the place and the location. the house is nice and we enjoyed our stay. we love the fact that there were seasoning and other items for cooking. the Cafe bar was exciting 🫶🏾

Great spot! It had everything that my friends and I wanted for a fun night in Kalamazoo! The location is awesome for easy access to downtown as well as WMU. The place is very comfortable, everything that you need, and the hosts were very welcoming and responsive. We now know where are annual WMU reunion stay is!

Comfortable beds, quick response when some essentials needed.

We were very satisfied with our stay at this Kalamazoo home. The location was quiet and easy to access. And the accomodations within the home were quite adequate for our large group. We very much appreciated the rapid responses of both AnnaLaura and Sulan. They were great hosts who seemed to truly care about our needs. Doug

What a perfect place for a Valentine's Day get away! Everything was clean and just like the pictures. It was amazing.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Julie’s place was perfect for us. All the creativity in the gardens, the kayaks, unobstructed view of the beautiful lake. There were hummingbirds, butterflies and a little ground squirrel for our personal enjoyment. The swans swimming by were were an unexpected pleasure! You place is very peaceful and serene. Checkin was easy and she and her beautiful daughter were kind and helpful. Julie suggested some close places to eat and enjoy and we visited each one. She had the fire pit ready to light but the weather was so hot we didn’t use it. We actually enjoyed a couple of severe storms while we were there. Watching the display of lightning over the lake was amazing but we felt safe and sound inside. The sunsets were accurately photographed on her listing. Just beautiful! The trip to Lake Michigan is a short, scenic and easy drive. Thank you Julie. We did not want to leave and hopefully will be back soon!

Hows this for the review: I had an incredible stay at this beautiful winter lake house! The cozy ambiance, complete with a roaring fire, made for the perfect winter escape. The setup was thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and style. There were plenty of seating areas, perfect for relaxing with a book, enjoying a cup of coffee, or gathering with friends and family. Every detail was considered, from the well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable beds. We especially loved the great selection of games that made our evenings so much fun – perfect for gathering around the fire and enjoying quality time together. The picturesque lake view was the cherry on top, creating a serene backdrop for a truly relaxing getaway. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable retreat. I can’t wait to come back and enjoy the lake in the Summer!! This is a great year round spot.

Airbnb administration lets down the hosts. The paperwork is lacking in the area needing to change adjust amend or communicate when original plans have to change. Our stay was determined by the development of a new apartment duplex. Developer dates changed twice. Two adjustments to length of stay caused penalties to be implemented by "the system" which nearly doubled the costs of our stay. Thank fully the host was very accommodating BUT was badly let down by the AirBnB organisation.

Came to Portage for work and found this great Airbnb. The host was very responsive from first contact and friendly. As well as proactive to make sure we had a great experience and had anything that we needed. The rooms are spacious and warm and felt like my home away from home. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with pleasant neighbors as well. If you ever come out to Portage I recommend giving this place a chance and staying here you won’t regret it. Definitely worth every penny and more. 10/10
